My First Perm Rod Set On Big Chop! | Perfect Pixie Curls | Alwaysameera

Y'All feelin, like graaah, whatever hi. Ladies and gentlemen, I am back with another video, and this was just a really quick natural hair video y'all know. I just recently cut my hair and I've been trying to figure out how to style it, and I actually mistakenly figured it out today. What I have been doing is roller sets on my new teeny weeny afro. What I have been doing is testing out different roller sets and I've usually been sleeping in them overnight, but one thing that I tried today is doing my Roller set and then using a head drier. It'S quicker this way and I actually do like how it style. Y'All feelin, like grappa and whatever I hope you guys enjoy this video, so y'all just go ahead and try it out we're gon na start off with freshly washed hair, and I used the gorgeous Naturals, shampoo and conditioner. You can find it on the website link that I'll link below it's actually owned by one of my YouTube friends subscribers, and she also has a hydrating hair mist that I used along with a leave-in conditioner. I left it in overnight. We'Re gon na use these perm rods here these four colors and we're just gon na start off by sectioning our hair, so sectioning. The hair is like one of the most important things to me because I can get my hair can get all wrapped up in the rollers, so it's easier just to section it off, so I sectioning off the hair in the crown of my head. I think that's the crown and then I'm going to do the sides of my head as well, so we're also go section off the back. Those are like the shortest parts of my hair and I'm just gon na tuck that away and I'm gon na start with the middle of the back of my head. So I'm using the Jane Carter, wrap and roll solution. I love this for my perm rod sets and I'm just getting it all through my hair and detangling all the curls, so we're gon na part it off in vertical sections and I'm just going to add some more mousse and then start curling. So I wrapped the ends around the curler and then roll it down to the root or the base of my head, and then I pulled the. I guess that rubber band in around and I make sure I turn the rubberband towards the root in my head. So it holds secure. If you don't do that, then it's loose see. I did it again. You pull that rubber band around close the cap and then I twist the rubber band towards the root of the hair, and I do that all the way around the back of my head. As you can see, I'm curling - I guess you would say downwards - I'm curling away from my face because that's the direction. I would like the back of my head to go you as you get used to it. Using these perm rod sets is actually a little bit more difficult than I thought it would be getting them to be secure. But if you make sure that rubberband touches your scalp or the base of your of the hair root, then it will hold secure and you won't have any issues keeping the rollers on. So I use the grey ones. Those are the smallest ones towards the very back of my head, because my hair is the shortest. I use these like purple, purplish, pink ones towards the next shortest part and I'm using the light pink ones. As I get closer to the middle of my head, because my hair gets longer as you get towards the front, I just try to make sure I mix them up, because I think natural curly hair has different curl sizes in it. As you can see, my hair has different curl sizes and I want it to look like a natural curl. Now we're gon na start on the front of my head, I'm just going to section off that side of the hair and we want this hair to go towards the face. So I just roll towards the face and I use one of the pink rollers, which is one of the bigger ones, the light pink one and I go to a smaller roller and then the smallest roller. As I get to the front of my head on that section, and I do the same thing on the opposite side - you'll get the hang of it. As you are doing, these perm rod sets and I'm hope I hope, I'm explaining it well, not that great with explaining things, especially things that I'm just learning I do this. I try and do one side and do the other, so I can mimic one side and have them be perfect on both sides. So now we're just gon na start towards the middle of my head: we're gon na detangle, all those curls at the top and brush it towards the face this one Carl I'm actually gon na curl backwards towards the back of my head away from my face and Then the rest of these curls I'm actually going to roll for it, I'm using the orange curlers. That is the biggest curler that I have. I would love to get some bigger ones, but this is what I have right now, but the curls turned out perfect with these sizes. I'M gon na continue the curl towards the face, and I pulled that rubber band around and twist the rubber band towards the root. Now we're gon na do the was at the right side of my face. This part on the sides of my face. I'M curling the hair away from the face. So, what's gon na go back towards the back of my head and I base this curl off of how drilled Grady had done my hair, how he curled my hair. After I looked at the video a few times, I've tried to figure out how the curling pattern that he used, and this is the closest that I've gotten, even though the curls at the top were a little bit bigger. But I haven't found those curlers yet so just continue to section off the hair and curl away from the face on the sides, and I use bigger curls towards the front, because I've found that it kind of over directs the hair away. From my face and kind of slicks it down a bit without me having to use gel or pomade or anything on the front, I actually did curl the back as well like the very bottom that I sectioned off and I curled it with those little tiny gray. Rollers now we're to start drying our hair and ice, it I say sit under there for like 30 minutes 20 to 30 minutes, depending on how high your heat is. I'M using the golden hot hair dryer this one's, like 10 bucks, it's really inexpensive and portable, and I just did my makeup. While I was drying my hair and, of course, when you take the curlers out, be careful make sure you pop off that cap and then unroll your hair, don't pull that it because you can pull your hair out. Please check to make sure your curls are dry before taking out these rollers, I'm just going to pull at the curls and use some Paul Mitchell pommy to form some of the curls that got it a little bit frizzy it's a wax. You can use any sort of wax that doesn't flake and it pushed my curls back together and made them look more uniform, and that is the final look. Really quick, really easy, and this hairstyle lasts for like three days, and I just love it. It'S so cute. So curly and so easy to do. I hope you, ladies and gentlement, enjoyed this tutorial.
