Hey guys welcome back to my channel, so in today's video we're going to be doing a sleek high ponytail. This is one of my favorite ponytails to do it's just so simple, so sleek so beautiful. So let me show you guys how i accomplish it. So the first thing that i like to do is go in with some gel and the gel that i'm going to be using is my ride or die. My tried and true pro style gel. I know it's an oldie, but it's a goodie and it works really. Well, for my hair, i do want to preface that my hair is relaxed, so just use whatever gel that you know works for your hair before starting the ponytail, i'm going to go in with my edge brush and just brush my edges out. I don't want my edges getting stuck in the ponytail, because we're going to be sleeking everything down and molding it, so i just want to get those out the way before i start the ponytail once those edges are out the way we're going to go in with That gel and then we're gon na start adding that section by section. So once i add the gel, i'm gon na go in with a hard bristle brush and brush the product in. So i like to like i mentioned, worked in sections, so i start with the back, then i add some gel to the sides and then brush up the sides and so forth and so on ready. So once the gel is well incorporated, i'm going to go in with my mary's edge wax. So this is a really strong, beeswax and this product is chef's kiss if y'all thought, the pro style in jail was my baby. This is this is my husband, because it just we're like this. Okay, i really love this product for my hair. I know some people struggle with working with beeswax. They say it leaves like a residue or it's really hard on their hair, but i don't know it's something about beeswax for me that it just does what it needs to do so, like i mentioned earlier, just use what products you know works best for your hair, But for me i can't complete a ponytail look without this product. It just gives me that sleek effect and it just it just works for me it just it just does what it needs to do. So once that's well incorporated, i'm going to go in with a really soft hair tie. These are the hair ties that don't have the little metal thing on them, so they're, really soft on your hair. They don't pull any hair out. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend you can get these at the beauty supply store for like a dollar. So please throw out those hair ties with the metal pieces on them, because you're missing out. Okay, you missing out on these. These are some really good. Hair ties so i'm just going to go ahead and put my hair in a ponytail and then i'm going to go ahead and wrap my hair into a bun and just secure that with another ponytail. So now the ponytail is complete. It'S time to add the bundles. So all the information on these bundles will be in the description box and we're going to go ahead and go in with two bundles. You can use as many bundles or as little bundles as you like. It'S definitely a preference. I find that, for me, two bundles does the job so in order to secure this ponytail we're gon na go in with a long bobby pin, and this is the way that i do it and i feel like it's the easiest. I don't have to use any glue. I don't have to sew anything down. It'S just wham bam. Thank you, ma'am, okay, so we're going to go in with the long bobby pin and we're going to stick that at the top of our bun. So we want to start building the ponytail from the top, so we're going to secure the bundles into the ponytail and then we're going to begin wrapping around so remember we're using two bundles. So we're just only going to wrap this to about half of the bun and i didn't speed anything up just to show you guys, step by step, how i wrap um the ponytail, but i'm gon na go in with these little uh bobby pins they're, not as Tight, they have a little bit of space to them and i'm going to go in and secure the ponytail as i'm wrapping just so that we can make sure that you know the bundles aren't slipping and that the ponytail is really really secure. Now we're going to go in with the second bundle and we're gon na do the same exact steps. We'Re gon na go in with the long bobby, pin secure that in the middle and then begin wrapping around and then placing those smaller bobby pins and areas that we want to provide some more security in the ponytail. When wrapping your ponytail be sure to when you're wrapping it around to flip the hair behind you, we want to make sure that the ponytail is not falling down to the sides and is forming a high ponytail. I don't know if that really makes sense or if i'm describing it well, but just as you're wrapping it around just make sure you flip the hair behind you. So once all of the bundles are i'm wrapped around the hair, i'm just going to secure it with a couple more bobby pins just be sure to not dig the bobby pins into the bottom of the ponytail, because that's going to irritate your scalp, i like to Just stick the bobby pins, either in the middle or a little a little bit upwards, but i don't stick the bobby pins downwards into my scalp, because that will be very irritating trust me. I know so once the ponytail is done, i'm going to grab a chunk of hair and spray that with some hairspray and then just begin wrapping the base of my ponytail just so that i can form the hair. As you can see, some of the hair is like sliding down to the side. We want everything to be going towards the middle and we're going to give this ponytail a little bit of length by wrapping around this this piece of hair. Next, i'm going to go in and do my edges, i'm going to use the same products that i use for my ponytail, going in with that ampro pro style gel and the beeswax i'm going to just use my edge brush and do my edges. How i usually do them ready once the edges are complete, we're going to go in with some hairspray spray. The whole base of the ponytail wrap a scarf around your edges and just let everything dry down. I say about 10, maybe 15 minutes and then i'm going to go in with some garnier sleek and shine, and just rub that on the ponytail this is its natural curls. So i just didn't want to put too much product in it, but yeah. That'S! The final. Look, i hope you guys enjoy this video, it's a really quick, easy, just simple hairstyle to do, but it's super cute. So i really hope you guys enjoyed it and i will see you in my next video peace and love.
