We'Re gon na do the first look will be more of that Flatiron wave with we're gon na use one of the world trios in the very front to get that crease. These t3 tools are just incredible and really really easy to use, and these tools are great because they're constantly reheating. So it's not like some tools where it's really hot. On one side you know it like the temperature goes way up, and then it starts to cool by the other side. You know how one side is super done and the other side it's all fallen out. So this look stays very consistent. Cuz, it's constantly reheating. I never knew that yeah. That'S why it's really important to like have good tools, because you know how many people are like. Oh, I bought a flat iron in college and then you know one sides burnt the other side. Is it and good tools are always worth your money more than products? I think yeah, that's true! Your hair is still a bit damp. You know I'm just gon na kind of get a little volume in it and then I'm just gon na hit it easily with a little bit of sheath. So now I'm gon na dry, your hair. This is the cure Lux dryer and it's great because it'll dry, your hair, so much faster, okay and there's a setting here that if you turn it off, then it will get more volume. But if you turn it on it'll make it more shiny and silky they're. The negative ions that seal in your hair Wow, I know as far as drying the hair, I think it's just important to take sections that are actually doable. So usually, what I do is I take sections kind of just working your way up and starting at the bottom that are about the same size of the brush. So I always try and keep it those sections and I try and go towards the face. But it's also good to use product to make sure you protect the hair, especially coloring it. I think the biggest tip is to avoid anything with too much alcohol, because alcohol, the same thing it's gon na do to your body, is exactly what its gon na do to your hair and I think also avoid too much salt, like you, don't want it's like The salt spray is great if you're going for a textured look, but it's a little damaging, especially if you're putting heat on it. It gets better for after the hair styled to add something in okay, so the middle part is the biggest thing for you. Yeah, the dead center middle part, pretty meticulous about my sense of class things. I know so. I always try and line it up with the center of the nose and then go back people freak out over those pins, but they all really great and they do look kind of cute. But where do you get yours from and why are they so great and your kit, I mean they're like the hardest thing to keep in your kit. I think I only have two left. I'M like, I need them back like you start with like 20 and then they're gone, but I just get them from like a beauty supply store or on Amazon yeah. I found them on Amazon, so this the Flatiron wave. So what we're gon na do is we start at the base and you just basically you need to hold the hair pretty tight, though so you need that, like you can kind of see, I'm like pulling you a bit, but you need it really tight, because if It'S just sort of a loose whatever you're not gon na get anything. And then you want to go up down up down and then I usually make it go straight out and then you kind of just get this little Bend. So, what's the difference, but for you between, like a flatiron wave and like a regular curling tone, what would you say like the difference in the look? Is I think this look is a bit more, you just don't see it as much and it feels a bit more elevated to me because you see like a wave all the time and you see straight hair all the time. But it's nice to see something kind of in-between. That'S like a hair texture that you liked at someone's natural texture that you're like. I wish my hair. Did that kind of thing the good thing about this iron also is it gets really hot and, like I said all these tools, they are constantly reheating, so you're, not it's not super hot here, and then it gets hot again down here or this sides hot this Sides not, but it also has the protective plates, so your hair is not going to be fried and it's not going to sit Joff so you're, just taking your doing the back and any tips for people doing the back themselves. When I do my own hair I'll, just sort of split it down the middle yeah and then it's all work, yeah and then I'll work that way. But I always like to start down at the bottom yeah, because there's more room for air down here, especially with something like a flatiron wave, it takes a minute to get the hang of it yeah. I kind of think I feel like Flatiron waves are like fishtail braiding and using just a regular iron is more of like a regular braid, like everyone kind of knows how to do it their way, but fishtailing you're like yeah. So you could you sort of curve. It up like like going up a hill and then down into the valley, and then yes yeah. I always try and go up because you want that height here. So as you move the way move it up and like the way it builds underneath. You'Re always gon na get a bit more volume with adding that height first okay, I think naturally Tom it kind of looks like if you had a natural wave in your head, but yeah. I think it's nice too cuz. It'S like I tried and I'm doing something cool like. I think it's also cool, which you know everyone would prefer to look cool over like way over done. Oh, no, no, and then this very top section. I really like to focus it going back cuz that can be a problem when you do it on yourself. You know you split the hair and then this you kind of bring it forward, but this part right here you really want to focus it back. So you still have like that volume. Oh yeah, a good tip, yeah cuz, you don't want to split it and then everything becomes lit because your front will look good but then you'll be like. Why does this style suck? And it's just that little detail that you missed okay, so here also what I'm gon na do is I'm going to angle it a bit away from the face? Okay, so I'm still gon na go up, so you have that. But the good thing too about this is, if you're like worried about heat, it's kind of the fast fluid like once over and you're done. Okay, so this very front section. What we're gon na do is we're gon na use, one from the world trio. Okay - and this is the tapered one, so it is good for kind of getting that very front. So what I like to do is I'm really big on this part, and then I like it to swoop down. So you know you can do a lot of that with a blow-dryer, but I do like to just run over it, especially since it's a wand just over the front, because it's kind of like using it as a flatiron without having to really like you know, cinch. It in and then just around where the eye opens up. I just wrap it around like that and I leave it in then you kind of get that little opening whoo. That was a good one. That was a really good one. Wow yourself, we're done, I will say, everyone has more hair on one side than the other. It also depends on like how you sleep and like which side of your head you sleep on. I sleep on the front of my head. What like just Facebook, do you really it's really pretty? Okay, now what I like to do, cuz, I'm not like a huge hairspray person and the front like I said in the back - is less important, so I'll, just like put it in my hands and kind of like work it in where it matters. Why would you say you know huge hands, Barry fun. I think it's really good for some looks, but I don't think like it's always necessary and I think for something like this. It kind of makes it a little too crunchy, and this is something that's gon na move, and I don't want this lacquered like I don't want these flyaways lacquered into place. I want you to be able be like that's too much or I want more or whatever and be able to touch it and move it, which i think is really important with the products you used in the base. I think a little bit of time trying to affect this yeah anyway, because it does look really good. It does look good. You know, of course, so we're gon na do the on-duty look now, which is this ponytail? I don't often do ponytails, but I was really inspired by this particular look that I saw we're gon na have to put some extensions in because my hair is not long enough, so we have them all laid out here. There'S a whole bunch. So when you're putting extensions in you match up where you want the clips to sit and then what I do, is I spray a tiny bit of hairspray on a little bit of hair, not too much because you don't want it because you're going to backcomb it. You don't want it to become a knot, but enough to give it like a cushion to sort of rest the clip in so it doesn't slide out of your hair, but these ones are so nice because the way this is oh, this yeah they're so flat. I remember like, and do these come like already with clips in them mm-hmm, because I remember, like you know when I started doing fashion shows and they would always blue the blue is so thick. So then, here we're still gon na keep working our way up, because we need most of the ball to be here and then on the sides we're gon na angle. It this way cuz we're gon na keep the part and go backwards. So I got all the pieces in I just spritzed it with a little bit of water, because I'm gon na take the dryer just like gently over it. Okay, I don't want to have to keep putting heat on top of heat on your hair. Okay, it's gon na go like get the look where we want it. No, I'm just going to brush this all into place. Good, it's a much more polished on duty. Look. I feel like something like this, where there's like a severe middle part, everything's slicked down. I feel like that's always a look. That'S taken very seriously, it's nice to sort of do a polished ponytail, because I think often people wouldn't associate associate a ponytail look as being kind, elevates it or yeah. It becomes like your Lacs look. Yeah you're, like I have the day off. Look but it's such a great way of having like a power pony, we got the we got the pony in order, and here you can see we have all of our lengths that we're looking for so the world trio. Tong has the detachable yes barrel sizes. Yes, so if there's more of a wand person which a lot of girls are yeah, especially at home, it's so much easier than figuring on a clamp. It'S your perfect tool, wait! So what's the difference, this one doesn't have a clam. Yes, when I wrap my hair around it and hold on to the end where I said she totally: okay, yes, which I think most people are more inclined to use the clamp if they grew up with a mom. That, like you know, was like oh here use. This for your hair and taught them how to do a clamp, but if you started to learn how to do your hair later in life, you're gon na you're definitely gon na do a lot better with the world trio and I'm kind of just curling it at This angle, taking it all into small sections, I'm basically splitting the pony into four subsections. You want to section it into smaller sections, because you can't just take the whole pony and turn it because then half it'll be curled. It'S just a little too much for an iron to handle, and then, when you brush it out, you get that perfect Bend and then this is also great again to kind of go over, get that extra bit of shine over the top and then really seal. This in and then you have that sort of curve, and then hairspray is really key here, because it helps you get that more feathered. I don't know if it's more feathered where it's like you know, brush, fanned out, fanned out. That'S what I'm looking for. So now. The absolute final detail that is equally as important as getting a pony right is this final little detail. So not everything love a good hair accessory me too. The only downside to having something great like the posse at the back situation is that I don't get to see it. I know you're like I think it's good. I don't really know. I think this is a great look for summer. Actually, I'd wear this like on holiday. If I wanted like a quick but kind of like polished on duty look for the evening, I think it's got like, like I said, like a really effortless feel to it, but it still feels really polished and on duty.
