Hi guys welcome back to my channel so for today's video i'm going to show you a ponytail extension that i found off of ebay. I have been looking for one for so long. I'Ve checked on amazon, but they're really expensive and they look kind of tacky. But i managed to find one on ebay for just 13 australian. Now the listing does say it is human hair. I have unpacked it i'll show you what it looks like when it came in the package. So, as you can see it just came in plastic wrapped in more plastic, so it didn't have a logo of a brand or anything or a kind of net for the hair to be in so think of that what you will, i don't have a lot of Experience with hair extensions, so i'm not going to be able to tell what's human hair and what's not just like that, i understand i could put some heat onto the extension to see if it melts, but i also don't really want to clean up my hair straightener. So we're going to look at the extension and try to determine for ourself, it does say human hair in the listing. But again it is 13, so if they can charge human hair for 13, i'm kind of scared whose hair it is so anyway, i'm going to get into the video show you what the extension looks like and put it in for you guys. So this is the extension i took it directly out of the packaging. I believe i got this in the color dark brown. There were actually two options for length, so the straight hair, i believe, was 23 inches and then curly hair was 17 inches. So you could pick one of those. I just picked the straight hair, which is 23 inches. So i don't know if you've ever looked at extensions online, but they always tell you. Oh, this extension is only 20 bucks and you're like great, and then you click on it and then that's because it's 12 inch extension or 16 inch and then you go down to like, let's say 22 inch and then it becomes like 100 and something dollars. So that's what i thought would happen with this one that this one was only 13. This must be just like 12 inches, but so i was a little confused when i saw that the only option was 23 inches and it was 13. So i'm really impressed with the length of it like normal human hair, remy, hair mixes. The hair does feel soft, but the ends feel a little bit more dry and i do have human hair extensions which, when you fill the ends, you can kind of tell it's human hair, but just from the looks of the shine, it does have that sort of Synthetic look but, as i said, i'm not a hairstylist, i wouldn't have any clue until i were to straighten this and again a lot of remy hair does come really shiny, so you just need to give it a few washes, and then it just becomes a lot More natural looking and it does have that bend in the hair from where i got it out of the package. So if i were to wear this in public, i would probably wash it first to get rid of that shine and to get rid of this bend. So, as you can see, it's just got the one clip it doesn't open and close. It just sticks into your bun for some grip and there's a few different kinds of these, but you put your hair into a bun and then this bit covers over your bun and then we've got the clip and then we've got velcro, which has hair on it. And then we'll wrap that around the bun to kind of blend it in a lot easier. But so far i haven't had any fallout of hair. Oh yeah, i have okay, so i haven't had too much fallout of hair there's a little bit in my lap, but i have been playing with this. So that's expected and again, if you were to wash it, i think a lot of those loose hairs would come out. So if you were going to wear this in public that'd be good, so you're not shouting on everyone. Just from looking at this, i think it looks really really soft. I love the feel of it, but it does look a little bit fake to me, especially next to my real human hair, which i know isn't very shiny and nice, but you can kind of tell what's fake and what's not yeah putting this next to this definitely Makes me not think it's human, so i got dark brown which, when i look in person, that's like a perfect blend, but on the camera right in front of the sunlight and ring light, it does look a little bit light. But anyway, i'm gon na pop my hair up and show you how to do this, and i have my trusty brush here. So the ponytail does go over a bun, which means you could do a high bun or a low bun to have a high ponytail or a low ponytail. So i might try both for you, but ideally i would like a high ponytail. That'S a bit loose as low ponytails. Make me. Look a bit like a colonial man, slash middle ages, prince i'm hoping with a higher burn i'll, look a bit more like ariana grande. So that's in a bun! I do have a lot of hair, so it might be a bit thicker going around compared to how it might on other people's hair. But i don't know people with thicker hair than me. So that's just to take into consideration. I'M just going to show you from the front, but i'll get in a lot closer. So what i'm going to do is i'm just going to kind of bend that so that clips out, so that when i flip it this way, i can stick it right in there. I hope you can see this, but i'm just going to pop that clip right into the base of my hair, just where that bun is, then i'm just going to pop the velcro around my hair. I don't know how i'm going to do this without the velcro gridden all caught up i'll, just keep it separate all right. So, oh okay, so my clips in there it's coming a bit loose. So i'm just going to quickly put the velcro on and then worry about, wrapping it around after so that's that's wrapped around the bun looks great feels a little bit bumpy with the velcro in there. I must admit so. I'M just going to wrap this bit of hair around. I think i've caught some of the other hair. Oh no, i've lost the end. Don'T make this easy, so that's it in it's a little bumpy, i'm not gon na lie. I do think that is because of the velcro. I might be able to do it again and do it a bit tighter and that might make it lay a little bit more seamlessly. It'S also it's a lot of hair in terms of length, but not so much in thickness. So you can see my buns right there. Oh that's coming apart, and then that's meant to just go over like that. I'M going to start again because this is a disaster who knew this would be so hard. This bit here is all velcro and then that bit is the bit that attaches so we're just going to put that around the bun like that and then that's going to wrap around they make it look so easy in the videos. Don'T they all right, i'm just going to do this bun again, so i'm going to try and do this bun as tight as i possibly can, because i do have a lot of hair and i feel like that might be an issue. So i'm going to try to do a tight little bun so that the ponytail doesn't have a lot to go around all right. Let'S try this one more time because i'm getting fed up okay, so i'm gon na pop that clip securely at the bottom of my bun just here, so that clip's gone into there and then i have this velcro bit. So what i need to do is i need to get this bit here. Remember that one strand of the velcro on it - and i just need to wrap it around the bun it just it doesn't want to stick around the bun, that's just too wide for it. All right that looks a bit more promising. Oh, i think i've grabbed some natural hair again. Oh, i forgot bobby pin that feels a lot more secure this time. So i do think i've done it properly. I don't think you can see the velcro as much this time. I think i did a better job at wrapping. The hair around the issue was was that the velcro didn't want to easily go around the bun. I had to pull it to push it around. So just bear that in mind. If you have a lot of hair, if you don't have a lot of hair, then this is probably the best invention for you. If you do, it's kind of like you've, just put cheap fake hair on top of a bun for a photo. I think this would look amazing. You could do your high ponytail and take some great photos, but for actual practical use, i don't think it's that great. I do really like the look of it, i think, for videos and photos. It looks great in person. I do think my mates would just be like what are you doing? It'S not a lot of hair, as i said before, it's a lot of hair in length, but not so much in actual thickness. I would like a bit more just to fill in these sort of gaps here and cover my bun a bit more see when i look at it like this, i do think it looks really good look. It is a lot of hair. It'S 23 inches. If you have really short hair or you just want a really high ponytail, just a little bit more thickness than your normal hair, then i do think this is a great option does get quite tangled, very easily, which also kind of suggests to me it might be Synthetic all right, the shedding is a little bad. So in comparison, that's how long it goes on my back for a pretty high standard ponytail. So i will just show you what it looks like from the back. So that's it from the side. It is very ariana grande disc, and i do love that volume. It looks good, that's it from the back again, it's very shiny and it does have the dent. So hopefully washing could get that out. You can't really see the bun too much. I do think it does a good job of covering it. It'S just probably not the best coverage if you were to wear it in public. I feel like every time i move these ends just get all tangled again and then i have to brush it and just more hair comes out. So that's pretty frustrating but look it's 13. I can't even complain if it's not human hair, i'm not surprised. I wouldn't want to be buying human hair for 13. To be honest, you get what you pay for, if you're just looking for something for an ariana grande concert or festival or photos or a night out or it's dark, then this is perfect, but an everyday ponytail. You'Re, better off just a stick of your brands like zala and just don't get ebay extensions. It does have a bit of a weird little thing there. So i don't know what that is, i'm pretty happy. I'M gon na put it on a low ponytail as well to kind of show you how to do a low, sleek, ponytail pin and then just find that little wrap it and unwrap it. I don't know all right now that we've been working with the ponytail for a while, it's safe to say the shedding is pretty horrendous. Don'T do it on bed sheets that you like pretty much, so i'm just going to put it here again, just making as tight of a bun as possible, so that you've got a headache and your blood circulation is not getting everywhere yeah. I just put it into a bit of a tighter bun this time, just because i know this is going to be quite heavy again doing the same thing except i'll. Show you what it looks like from behind this time. So again, just grabbing this little clip here and digging that just on top of the bun then isolate this bit of velcro, and this has got a bit that needs to stick to so just pull it across as tight as possible to try to get a seamless Bun then wrap this velcro bit around wrapping around bit is like when you save it. I think, because if you don't do it properly, then you'll be able to see the velcro okay, so you can't do a low ponytail. With this it's a bit lopsided. It looks nice, but you can see the entirety of the bun from the side. I think when it's on top it falls a bit better and gives you a bit more coverage. So now you can't do a low ponytail, but at least we tried hey okay. So it's very heavy where it is right now, so that would give me a headache like crazy, so i do think stick to high high ponytails. Obviously you wouldn't have to have it here in your head. You could have it like mid head, it doesn't have to be an ariana grande ponytail, but i do feel like a lot of people that buy these kind of want that look so again i have to brush it. I'Ve never been so grateful to have my hair that doesn't tangle as much as fake faker, all right so thoughts and opinions. I think for 13. This is amazing, like you cannot even complain for 13. It does what it says it does and that's all you could want. The velcro is secure. I'Ll tell you that i didn't feel like it was leaving my head when it was up there. I just felt like it wasn't covering the bun, but i was never concerned that this would fall out my hair, maybe for a festival. It might slip a bit, but you could put 20 bobby pins in hairspray it, and it should be fine - and i do like that. It has this because it covers the bun entirely and the strand to cover the rest of your hair is very thick. So that's great honestly, 23 inches for 13 bucks is unbelievable. I don't think you'd get that anywhere else. Obviously i'm gon na say it's synthetic. I don't know because again the ends do feel a bit rough. It could be human hair. So that's what i'm talking about it could be human hair, that's just very shiny or it could be a mix. I don't know, but it's definitely not all human, but for 13 i wasn't really expecting human hair, even though it said, but yeah, i'm pretty happy with this. Also, i think the color match is pretty good again just be wary that it does shed like crazy and does get tangled very easily. So if you were to wear it in public, don't wear a shirt that will show hair and that is a lot of hair to fall out yeah. So don't wear a shirt, that's going to show hair because this will shed like crazy. I don't have to wash my bed sheets and bring a little portable brush with you, because you're going to have to keep brushing it, because these ends get tangled like crazy and i do like the ends. I like that. It'S not a blunt cut and it's a little bit more jagged. Like my hair, i do think it looks a lot more realistic and again, i do think if you wash this, that would take a lot of the shine out and it would look more realistic and, at the end of the day, you've got your dry shampoo and Everything like that, i would recommend this product because it's 13 but don't buy it thinking, you're gon na get a xyla human hair ponytail at a great price, because you get what you pay for 13. Bucks will get you this and i'm pretty happy with it. For 13, i'm not going to complain, as i said, i'm definitely going to be using this for photos, probably not wear it in public, but it's great to have. I'M definitely hold on to this. Well guys, thank you so much for watching today's video. I really hope that helped you, if you're like me and you're, just looking for a really cheap hair extension ponytail, so that if your hair is a little bit jagged when it's up or it's not a lot of hair when it's up and when you do high Ponytails it kind of lays flat, then that is a good option, but do bear in mind. It might 100 be human hair and it does have a lot of cons. But again you get what you pay for. I didn't expect any more than that. So, for what i got compared to my expectations, i'm really happy yeah i'll, put the link in the description and you should 100 go check it out, because it is it's good to have it's 13. You can't go wrong or you can save up and get a natural human hair one it's up to you, but it's 13 by the time i posted this. My last video would have been posted my deep up haul, with all the nice formal dresses and evening gowns. So after this video, i will probably be doing another hair extension view. I actually bought some human hair ones off of ebay and i'm pretty sure, they're human hair. It'S not a ponytail, it's just your little wefts that go around the back and i also bought a lot of wigs off of depop. So i'm going to do that into a video, so definitely watch out for this anyway. Thank you so much for watching. As always. Don'T forget to like subscribe and comment, and i hope to see you next time.
