Hey y'all welcome or welcome back to my channel. My name is alexandria. Today, i'm going to show y'all how i got this sleek ponytail, so i'm starting off on very dirty hair. It'S been about two weeks since i've gotten my hair done or blown out in a little slight press, i'm gon na do a middle part, and since my scalp is a little crusty, i did put some oil in there um. You know i'm saying fix that up. Real quick um i took some of my edge booster and give me a very precise crisp part, make sure y'all comb that edge control through because it'll look real yucky like y'all, see it did it to my hair, but we fixed it. So i'm going to start off with the back of my hair and i used a lot of got to be glued hairspray and i just sprayed it all. On my section, i used my hands to smooth the spray out, and then i took my brush the one with the like really hard bristles, and i use that to just smooth everything out. So, of course, i have to use a blow dryer. I did not have to have it on the highest setting just the highest below setting and like the lowest heat setting, and i just did the same thing in every single section making sure to sleek my hair straight to the back. I found that using my comb helped me kind of control, the hair better. I use my blow dryer just to set it all in place. So at the front i just did like a little swoop type of situation. I do have very fine edges very thin edges to whatever you want to call it. It took a while to do this part um. I tried to be, i just made sure to take my time and to put the hair exactly where i needed it to lay, and then i did use some edge control on my edges. I would say the front is like the most tedious just because you have to make sure the hair is laying right as y'all can see. It took a lot to lay my hair, how i needed it to lay. I think it's because i have such a big head, so you know we finally got it together, y'all. We finally got it exactly where we needed it gon na spray, our little spray, our freeze, hold spray, go ahead and draw that bad boy into place. To make sure everything is nice and sleek. I just use my rat tail comb combed everything down into place y'all. This was, i would say, it's not a hard hairstyle, but it's definitely not an easy hairstyle either. I would say this part is the. I would say this part like the sleeping your hair down. That'S probably like the easy part. The hard part is making sure that your ponytail is in the very center of the back of your head after you get done with everything, but we're not even there yet. So we're just going to swoop that hair straight down, and so this is what i was talking about y'all. This is why you want to really make sure you comb that edge control all the way through your hair or you'll, be scratching it off your scalp, like i just had to do. Of course i have to go in and do a little swoopy swoop with my edges. It really just makes the whole style look very polished and put together, i braided my hair straight down. I braided my ponytail and then i put a rubber band at the end and then i like twisted the end up so like technically, it's not like hanging. It'S like gon na be wrapped up in this black. I don't even know what this stuff is. Um called. I just know i have a lot of it, the black stuff that they like use on your edges or whatever, but this is my hair y'all honestly, i don't know why i got 30 inches. It ended up being 30 inches. Oh well, um. I could not find the exact same color that matched my hair, so i think i got like a 1b or two, and i mean it's: it's gon na work today, it's gon na have to work and yeah y'all. This hair was like twelve dollars, so this is like a little weekend style. I wasn't planning on wearing this no longer than three days. I ended up wearing it for four or five days, so i'm going to take my hair glue and instead of putting it on the track, i'm just going to put it on my actual ponytail and i'm going to keep it in one spot just to keep from Getting all messy and then i'm going to wrap the trap around until i reach the top of the ponytail or like the base of the ponytail, i should say i did um. This is fast forwarded like in double time. I think, but y'all take y'all's time. Um right here i would say just be very careful - don't get glue everywhere, because that stuff is sticky super sticky. So i took a small piece of hair and i used that to wrap around the ponytail to cover that last track, as well as the rubber band. I really hope y'all can see like the camera wasn't focusing and it was like dark and i don't know what was going on, but i hope you all can see that and then i used some got to be blue spray. Just to keep that you know piece in place because i did not put any glue um on that little piece of hair to hold it, and this is what this is, how it turned out y'all. I really love this look. I would definitely do it again um, but i'm not going to straighten my hair just to get a ponytail like this, so only on straightened hair. Whenever i decide to do that, but this is the look. I hope this video was helpful. Let me know if y'all liked it and y'all. This is what i was actually dancing too. Don'T forget to hit that subscribe button, and thank you so much for watching. I will see y'all in the next one.
