Snatched & Highly Favored "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."Proverbs 31:25

Your body is Sharmell. Welcome back to my channel in today's video. I'M going to show you guys how I do this sleep, low, ponytail, using very minimum heat on my natural hair and I'm also gon na be featuring Jenna collections, new snatch and wrap ponytail. So definitely watch the in. If you want to see how I get this look, so the key to getting a very sleek ponytail is to start off with clean, moisturized hair. So I washed and conditioned and moisturizing my hair off-camera, and then I put it into four braids just to start air drying. I like to have my hair air dry for a little bit and to moisturized I use the Rose aroma therapy set from Jenna collection. They have a leave-in and a hair oil and then, as a heat protectant, I'm using this beyond the zone turn up the heat, Flatiron heat protected. So, like I mentioned, I let my hair air dry as much as possible. Again, I want to reduce some of the heat. I have noticed a little heat damage in my hair over the last few months, so I'm working on cutting back on the heat on my head. However, for a low sleek ponytail, especially if you're using straight hair, you will have to add a little heat. If you don't want it to wave up too much, so I am going in with my blow dryer on a minimum setting minimum heat setting just to make sure that my hair is completely dry. And I like to let it air dry for a little at first. Because when I go in with the blow-dryer, I don't have to do it for very long, because the majority of my hair is already dry. So now I'm just gon na repeat those same steps on the rest of my hair sprays and he protected and then blow-dry it until my hair is completely dry and so now, once I'm done blow-drying, I'm just running my fingers through just to make sure that all Of my hair is dry and there aren't any damp spots. If you have any moisture once you add product, your hair will start to wave up. So I'm going to do a middle part. So I'm just taking my rat tail comb and I'm going to part my hair down the middle and then I'm going to section off two halves in the front of my hair and then pin it out of the way. And once I get my front pinned out the way, I'm gon na start working on the back of my head, so I'm going to be using this even edge control, as well as the style factor edge booster edge control. So I'm not using gel. I'M gon na use edge controls because they give me a sleeker hold and any gel will just make my hair wave right back up. So I'm gon na take those two products and rub it through my hands and I'm just gon na start smoothing my that back section of my hair into a low ponytail and I'm gon na use a hard bristle brush to smooth it down. So you will get some waves, but it's not as wavy as it would be. If I use like eco style gel or something - and so then you should have something like this - and so here is where the heat comes in, I'm going to actually flat iron, the top half of my hair, using a medium heat setting. I am using this baby bliss Flatiron and I'm just gon na. Do a soft press on my hair. Just one pass and that's pretty much it yeah before when I would do sleek ponytails, I would Flatiron my entire head and honestly, it's really not that necessary. Unless you just want to, but especially because my hair is getting longer now, I just find it unnecessary to Flatiron my entire heading, and so this method allows me to still get that sleek look, but you know I just don't have to put as much heat on My head, and so now I'm gon na start working that section I just Flatiron, smoothing it back into my ponytail, so I'm gon na use some more of those edge controls and just start to smooth it on neck. Now, if you want this even sleeker, I would recommend taking a hot comb to your roots. I did not just because again I'm cutting back on heat, so you will see my hair wave a little bit at the roots, because again I can't get my roots completely with my Flatiron, so you know it still has a tad bit of waviness to it. However, it's still very sleek and a lot straighter. It would be if I just tried to smooth my hair in its natural state straight back. So this is how it looks and then I'm going to repeat those exact same steps on the other half of my head and so once I do that, I'm just going to do my edges. Y'All know I like baby hair. I know everybody don't like it, but I do so. I will continue to do my baby here and that's what I'm doing now and then after I get that late. How I like it, I'm just going to take my scarf and tie my hair down and let it sit. While I do my makeup - and I know some people like to use hairspray for their ponytails - that's an option too, but I just haven't felt it to be. I just it hasn't worked for me, so I like to use the edge control and yeah, I feel like I get a better hold than just using hairspray. Today'S video is sponsored by Jana collection. They recently launched their new snap and wrap ponytail line, and it's as simple as the name. You can install this ponytail within a matter of seconds by wrapping it around the base of your bun. The hair is marketed as tangle, free and a dove soft premium. Synthetic fibers that mimic the appearance and feel of human hair, the hair comes in a range of colors, as you guys can see, and it also comes in two limps, 24 inches and 32 inches as well as it comes in two different textures. It comes in a standard straight and then a yaki straight, so I have three ponytails that I'm going to show you guys they're, both Andy yaki. This first one is the 32 inch ponytail and it's in the color 1b 30s. So it's like ombre and here's the construction of the ponytail. So it's like a lace piece, whit, hair wefts. It has a comb at the top to attach the ponytail and then, as you see in the corner, it has that velcro strap. So it's super easy and really quick to install I'm just going to start by making my bun a little smaller and then I'm going to take the ponytail. I'M gon na take the comb and stick it at the base of my natural hair bun. Then I'm going to take that strap with the velcro and I'm just going to wrap it around like it's literally snatch in wrap and once you start wrapping, the velcro band will automatically stick and then you just take that excess hair and wrap it around. To hide that little velcro band, although this hair is synthetic, you can still add heat of 136 degrees. I didn't find it necessary to add heat, because, honestly, the hair comes out. The packs super duper straight. The hair is marketed as tangle free. I did experience a little tangling, however, again is synthetic hair and this ponytail is really really long, so it's kind of expected in a way for these ponytails retail for under $ 10. So, while they're not perfect, they are definitely good ponytails to have in your closet. Just for the sake of the price, so now I'm just going to show you guys the 1b ponytail again. This is an yaki again, but it's in a shorter length. This is the 24 inch ponytail and I'm just doing the same thing. Applying the comb at the base of my bun and then I'm just going to wrap it around and secure it and yay. I really really love this black ponytail like it was just so easy to install the color was perfect yeah. This is definitely one of my new go-to ponytails. Now I will say that I wear this ponytail alright and I didn't have any issues. However, it doesn't feel as secure as like a drawstring ponytail or like if you're taking a bundle and wrapping around. So that's something. I had to get used to again it didn't fall off, but it just didn't have that tight feeling that I'm used to wearing when it comes to ponytail. But you know I'm not tripping, it was low tension on my hair, so it worked out so again. This is the snatch and wrap ponytail from Jenny collection and be purchased at your local Beauty, Supply or online retailers, and it retails for under $ 10. So it's definitely a steal and guys. I love this look. So, thank you all for watching, don't forget to Like share comment and subscribe and definitely check out Jenna collection. They always have very affordable hair pieces. So, thanks again and I'll see you all next time and bye.
