Hey guys, it is kiki here welcome and welcome back to my channel. If you are new here once you subscribe, you then become a member of the pride and that just means we're just all beautiful lioness and lions here embracing our mains. So once you subscribe, you join the pride and y'all in today's video. We are going to be styling some clip in but, as you all know, i do have locks. I'Ve had locks for 17 months now wow. That is crazy to say, because coming from someone with commitment issues, i did not expect myself to get this far anywho. We are going in with better links, clip-ins y'all, if you've been with me for a hot minute. This is my third or fourth time working with betterlink, but oh my gosh. They are absolutely amazing. I am obsessed with their clip-ins, but i want to do something a little different with their clip-ins today, but can we get into the bag a nice satin lined bag inside and out? So that's going to protect your clip-ins at all times. Look at that! Oh gosh! If you're unfamiliar with who better length, is they specialize in making texture clip-ins for natural hair, they're all 100 virgin human hair, and i have the clip-ins that specialize in 4b4c hair textures, which is going to be afro kinky coily? These are in 14 inches. So this is what they're looking like inside the pack. I wanted to stick with something around my length of hair, because what we're going to be attempting to do today is making locks out of these extensions, so um i'm going to do my best, i'm a little nervous. I am a little nervous to be honest, but i want to show y'all what it looks like right out of the packaging. So this is what they look like straight out straight out. The color is like a 1b slash, 2 color, a very natural color. So this is pretty much going to blend with your hair. If you have it your natural hair, color uh, but in my case my locs are jet black. Now, as you can see, there is a color difference, so i'm going to be dyeing this hair jet black before we attempt to turn them into locks. This is definitely my hair type. 4B. 4C. We'Ve got tighter coils at the bottom here, it's so soft, so soft and it comes together and you're just going to cut that open and then we'll get started, i'm going to be using one hair dye today. This is dark and lovely that i just picked up from my local beauty, supply, store and yeah. It is in the color jet black and we're going to be putting that all over here. Once that's done, we will be attempting to make the locks and we should have 10 wefts with different size clip-ins. This is a five clip weft here, oh gosh, it's so soft! I cannot wait to dye these. We got another five clip width. We'Ve got a four foot weft another four clip lift we've got a three clip: weft should have another three clip with yeah. We'Ve got a two clip weft, another one. So that's eight clippings so far and we've got two more two click wheels, but they're a lot closer than the other ones were so as you can see two of these, but it's a lot closer than the previous two like so so. We'Ve got ten clip-ins and you only need one bundle guys. This is a complete bundle, so there's no need to get any more than one set of clip-ins, because this is gon na. Do you justice? Look at how big that is, i'm so excited okay. So, as i said earlier, i'm using this jet black hair dye and i'm gon na set up my desk here. So i don't mess her up and then we're gon na get to dying or oh, that does not sound correct. We are going to start dyeing the hair, so we are about 15 minutes in and this is what they are looking like. They are super dark compared to what they were before. But if you have a natural 1b slash 2 color, then you won't have to color them at all. But the cool thing is: if you do have dye in your hair, you can definitely alter the clip ends to the color of your hair. So it's literally just like your natural hair come on come on, and this is what the hair looks like straight after washing, i didn't put any conditioner on there, because i want it to be as close to my hair texture as possible. Conditioner, i feel like will kind of make it look a lot smoother, but i want a more textured look like my locs. As you can see, now it's pretty much matching the texture or the color of my locs a lot better. Okay, guys we are back. It'S actually a couple of days later and i have been making my clip-ins into locks, so it was a bit of a trial and error because i've never made locks with a crochet hook before, and this is the hook that i use. I use a double crochet needle this one is, i guess that says: seven millimeters. I think that's what that says. Yes, it has two little hooks on here and i have been making locks so i did a trial weft. So this is what we came up with. So yeah they're all completely different sizes, because even though these did not work for me, i still wanted to show it to you, because you can make these clip-ins into locks of any size. So i still wanted to show that to you just in case you have thicker locks than i do or if you want thicker locks, thinner, locks, different methods, because i've tried it all, so i'm gon na show it all to you, okay. So this was my first attempt here i attempted to wrap the lock around itself, wrap the hair around itself with this one. As you can see, it did not look that similar to my hair. Now at the bottom. I do kind of like this little curl that it did because that kind of looks like my hair, but overall i feel like i mean it looks like it, but it's shiny. You see the difference right so kind of like how you wrap a faux loc. That'S what it was so i tried that about three times and i was like okay. This is not the way i'm gon na do it, so i you know tried a different way. So this time i attempted to do like an instant lock, where you use the crochet needle to weave the hair within itself, and that's what i came up with. It was a lot thicker than what i needed it to be. But, as i said, if you have thicker locks, you can definitely create thick locks with these extensions as well, so that was another one there that did not make it. You are focusing on me baby, okay, yeah. That was another one that didn't make it so then i was like okay, i need to use less hair, so these two i use less hair and i was liking how they looked and as you can see, this looks a lot more. Like my hair, the crochet kind of takes away the shininess a little bit of the extension as if you were to twist it, so i really ultimately liked how these looked compared to these. These are a little bit too shiny for me, but yeah so y'all this process being that i'm new to crocheting it took forever. So i kind of started doing it. This way. These took a while to do like a couple days and i actually tore my finger up trying to do it. So please be careful. That is what my finger looks. Like my thumb, i don't know if you can see, but it's kind of tore up. I can't feel anything i didn't feel it. It didn't penetrate like lower than the surface level, but it you still need to be careful if you're gon na do this method, but this is the ultimate overall that i went with. I tried to make them small enough. This is me doing the instant lot method on a couple. Then it started taking a while and some of them weren't coming out like i wanted to like this, is more wavy. As you can see, so i ended up coming up with another solution, so i still liked how these look so i'm gon na use these, as you can see they blend pretty well, so to change it up to look a little bit more textured. I'Ve got a little bit of different textures going on in my locs, so i wanted to do a little bit different. So i was like, what's going to give me that texture that i'm looking for and i'm like, you started your own locs with two strand twists. So how about you two strand twist? It then go behind that and then crochet to kind of create the rougher. Look as if they've been matted - and this is what i came up with. You can still see the twist pattern just a little bit, but i feel like. Ultimately, this is the one that blends with my hair the most compared to i mean i think the instant the smaller instant lock did, but that was taken entirely too long. Oh, my god that was taking so long, so i was like i got. Ta come up with something else. Blueberry was like. You have been on that for a long time. I don't know, but listen. It'S gon na be bomb when it comes out, but this is what i ultimately came out with. So i'm gon na show you how i got it this way over time. They will, you know, start to look even more matted and whatnot, so i'm very excited about that. I actually need to clip the ends and i'm going to attempt to define them like my curls on the ends. But first let me show you how i did this. I'M going to attempt to show you how i got my lashes away and just to secure everything i put it up under my mirror, so we can get a better view, but i've already done this regular two strand twists here: they're like three two strand twists right. So what i'm doing is kind of taking this tool and just weaving it in and out of this twist and it's gon na make it appear more matured, i'm just gon na go in and out as long as i can and like i said this does take Time it sounds kind of rough, but we, you know just making a more locked look instead of a twist look and then, as i'm doing this, i just kind of roll it around itself. Okay and after i'm done with it, i'm just gon na like roll it around itself. Try and like get some of those loose hairs to wrap around the lock and, as you can see, that looks more like a lock than this does and this kind of mimics. My natural hair - i like this effect because it kind of gives you like the bunching look. I'Ve got a lot, a couple of blocks that were like bunching during my locking process, so that just looks more natural to me. I don't feel like my locks are cylindrical as this one. This is like from someone who retwists to me, so i love the effect that this one gives and yeah. That'S how i did it. It took a while, but as you can see, this is my lock. Now this is a regular twist. You can definitely do twists with this if you have loose natural hair, which i've seen and it looks absolutely gorgeous, but i have yet to see anyone do locks out of these extensions and i was like well. This is a perfect time for me to try so i'm gon na finish this one and then we're gon na get to installing. So we can see what they look like, but this is what they are looking like. I curled the ends all of the ends with gel, as you can see, they curled up very nicely, but yes, let's put them on so first, i'm just gon na start by putting my locks in a ponytail, so i'm gon na go in with this double width. Double clip weft here, and these are my ends after they are drying up. I use got to be glue gel the ones that i use on my edges. You know so that way they can have a hole to it, pop it out and secure it in like that, okay, we got a little little come on come on. How is it looking, though, is it looking natural, it kind of is guys. I definitely could have. Did them a little bit smaller and i think i may dye him again dying back black again, but i think this is a look. Can we get into the volume y'all? My locks were this thick and i've got good density of thickness, but i just want more - and i think these are going to give that to me yeah. They need to be a little bit darker, but it's all right. I don't think my dye took as well. It'S okay, it's okay! I parted another, two rows over. What i just did. We got a lot of volume happening and, as you can see, this is what we're looking like so far, and i want to focus more of the clip-ins toward the back of my head. Rather than the top, but look at how we're looking right now baby, if you was passing me on the street yo, i didn't think i could do it. I didn't think i could do it yo. This is giving walks yo. This is getting locked right now, i'm getting a little too excited, let's keep moving, so we have a five clip weft now, some of these you know this was like my starter set right here, where i figured out what i wanted to do, but then i switched It to the two strand method, so some of these are a little bit bigger than my locks, which is okay. All of my locks are not the same size and i'm okay with that. I actually don't mind it uh, because the perimeter of my head going from here to the back they're a lot thinner than the rest, because uh my hair is just finer in those areas. So and then, when i go back in and daddy is black again, i used a different dye than what i used on my actual hair. So maybe that's why or maybe i didn't let it sit long enough, but we're going in here. Yo, okay, tell me these don't look like locks y'all. Let me know if they don't cause y'all across my dreams a little bit, but it's all right. Look at this volume! Y'All! Listen! If lionel was this thick, you wouldn't be able to tell me nothing: hey y'all. I, of course, do not recommend doing this on freshly retied or freshly retwisted hair uh, because you don't want to damage your your parts. You don't want to rip your hair out. You don't want to do nothing like that. So it's best to do this on new growth. I feel i'm so glad i curled these ends because it is giving the look now see yeah. Some of these are a lot thicker over here, but it's all right. We gon na layer some more down boom. Yo. Sorry babe, i'm just really hyped. This is giving me a voluminous. This is what i want my locs to look like thickness wise and you know they're they're thick, but they're, not this thick and i've seen people with micro locs, whose hair just gets this thick. I wish, but it's all right, i'm still loving the journey. Okay, y'all okay, moment of truth. Let'S see how everything looks down. We gon na rock it with a middle part hold on hold on y'all. This is giving the look that i was envisioning when i started this process of making these into locks. The fact that my hair is this voluminous i'm going to put a comparison video here, so you can see how voluminous she has gotten and y'all. There'S no pain. Y'All sideshot, here's the back sean. Can you tell where the locks are, because i can't i can't i can't. Can you well that's one of them because it's still drying. So don't that's that don't count but guys guys guys y'all. I literally thought this was gon na. Be a fail for me because i've never made locks before and it came out so good, listen! If my actual hair can get to this thickness, it's a wrap babe. This came out so great bae. I can't oh, my gosh. Okay. I need to get your reaction. He approved he said it looks really great and he's one to keep it real with me. If he does not like something he's gon na, let me know and the fact that he signed off we're good to go. But let's get into my thoughts, we already know what my thoughts are: um, baby y'all know: i've worked with betterlink before several times. I love them. They have amazing quality hair, and today i just showed myself that you can make locks with their extensions 100 virgin human hair. You can turn them into locks guys. If you have micro locks, you can do micro locks and even remember, if you have traditional locks, you can make a traditional lock out of it. Like i am obsessed now, i wanted to go for more volume as opposed to length, so i chose 14 inches and this was perfect. This is absolutely perfect because i like the length that i'm at now it gave a little length in the back just a little bit more, which i am enjoying. Actually, but yes, i wanted more volume and i think it did just excellent with that. You can get longer lengths, of course, but i wanted to keep it at 14 inches for these extensions, because i don't see them, do you but guys. Oh my gosh, you can literally do anything with these cliffings. You can bleach them. I'Ve seen people bleach these clip-ins. You can dye them as i did. You can dye them black they're, literally as if the hair was on your head, so you can i'm pretty sure you would straighten it, but i wouldn't recommend doing that with the type 4 hair, because you can, you know, get a separate yaki clip in they're straighter. So it's like a straight natural texture, so with those you can one curl them. I'Ve done that before, like i love better length, absolutely love them and they continue to amaze me every time i work with them like this is absolutely gorgeous and it was such a smart move to go back in and curl the ends. I kid you not because they were looking a little bit straighter and i'm like hold it. You know some of my ends are locked and curl them up. The got ta be glue, gel took to it just fine, like whatever you do is perfect. There was a little bit of shedding because i had to uh comb the extensions out a little bit before i put the twist in, but after i went after that, it was it was. It was gravy. The whole process was great. It was actually pretty fun to see it transform into what i did, and you know i still have three clip-ins remaining, but if i went anymore it would have just been extremely too much. So this is perfect. Guys, like you literally, don't need more than one bundle. One bundle comes with 10 clip-ins. One bundle is enough for your head. If you get more than that, you're doing too much it's overkill, you know. Unless you want to get a separate texture, you know to have different, looks that's perfect, but for one look one bundle. That'S all you need super affordable. You guys, i'm gon na leave a discount code in the description box for you to save money when you purchase these clip-ins y'all will not be disappointed. I am so hyped right now. I have no cons like what. What negative can you say about this now, if you're going to turn them into locks, it does take a little bit of time. So just keep that in mind, it takes a little time but y'all. It is so worth it so worth it. I'Ve never seen anyone do this before. If you have, let me know, i can't let me know how y'all feel about these clip is in the comments. Let me know how you thought i did by turning them into locks. Would you try this technique for yourself? Let me know everything in the comments below. Thank you guys for watching. Thank you so much to betterlink for sponsoring this video and i look forward to seeing y'all in the next one bye. You

I got the hook a few months ago to tame some of the frizz and loose hairs on my Husband's traditional locs. So I've gotten a little practice in on him, but these small ones I'm trying to make are on a whole different level. I remember themukisa11 showing a twist and rip technique years ago, I may try that also on a few to see what works better for me. Thanks sooo Much for the inspo!

Lost in the DIY Sauce: My mind is it came out so dope!!! Jessane Dumond: Okay yesssssssssssssssssssssss So happy I came across this video because I was scrolling for Sisterlock clip in tutorials. I just brought the bundle and will dye the ends to match my Ombré locks. OMG, thank you!!

Stacey Hollis: You are soooo talented! Do you make them for a fee??? I would definitely pay you to make me some!

Pamela Deneen: Wow , it turn out great love it

Trey C: They look so good!

CAMi Kah Z: Wow! You make me want to commit to a loc journey. Very talented. Also, you're giving off Keke Palmer vibes a bit.

Jacqueline Dixon: Keke! You did that girl! OMG!!! I love it!!!! ❤️

Mikyra Cozart: I decided to made my loc extensions with wefted bundles just like this and it actually going really good, it’s a great method to make locs without spending a lot of money on bulk hair.

Sonja Ford: Absolutely BEAUTIFUL ❤️

Renee Joan: very inspiring! Thanks for the excellent video!

joy webb: Yes u changing the game with these loc clip ins. Beautiful

StartOfTheSeason: This is my texture! I’ll be doing permanent loc extensions with these

vanessa shaw: I’m thinking that rather than making individual locs using loose hair this is a much better method. Not only can you have more control over the consistency in size but the hair is already “anchored” on the weft making it easier to handle. Pure genius!

Dana's life journey gathers: You did that!! Brilliant

Bsongz2: This looks amazing!!!! I love this

Tarsha Newson: You did that sis it looks good

Kueen’s Vibes: Looks pretty good. I’d say interlock your extensions and it’ll blend immaculately…no crochet hook needed... good job sis.

Joy Jackson: You have the patience of Job! But, your results are fantastic!!! Great job!

Jayanna: This would be a great alternative for those who want highlights but don’t want to dye their own hair!!! I love this!!!

Mary Walls: You were great! I can’t believe this was your first time because they came out great!

Charlana’s Corner: That’s awesome! You may want to patent that technique cause I’ve never seen that done with clip ins

Adana: It looks so good!!!

Hidden Curls: Awesome job! Love it!

Hey Its GIEL: AMAZING!! Love it!

Cali Black: Dang girl, you did that!!!

NubianVixenRN: You did that!!! SuPER freaking cute!!!!‍♀️‍♀️

Tinesha S.: Great job sis!!!

marie: I started my loc journey almost a month ago and the only thing I didn't like about them were that they didn't look as full as I wanted them to look, so I'm definitely getting these clip ins . You actually saved me so much time cause I was going to redo them and now I don't have to

Mswhitehead 4life: Great job

Hidden Curls: Your hair is beautiful. I love your hair!

lindacantonlc: Gurl U did thatU created your own clip ons

Naturally Gifted By Oni: Heeeyyy that is an awesome idea! Just a pointer for using the crochet hook, use your pinky as an anchor using your hand on your left hand. You can control the movements better

Philly Jawn Lolo: It's funny cuz I started my loc journey with twists, but recently decided to instant lock my them on top of it. I experienced so much slippage? Unraveling? That they're all essentially curls with interlocked roots I am not amused, so instant lock it is.
