22" Ponytail Hair Extension | How To

Hi everyone welcome back so in today's video i'm going to be showing you how i get my ponytail to go from this to this. So my hair is slightly green on the ends and that's because during the first lockdown i decided to dye my hair blue and when i went to have it color corrected um three attempts later and it still needs one more. Try i'm going to show you guys how i wear a clipping ponytail extension and even with green ends on my hair. So if you guys are interested, then let's jump straight into today's video okay. So a few things that you're going to need is a smoothing brush or just like a regular bristle brush. This is from the beauty works times, molly may, and i think it's really well really. Well, i just think it works really well for smoothing out your hair. Also, some hairspray, which is going to help your hair sort of sit nice and flat to the scalp and not have any flyaways or anything like that. I also have some like rogue hairs here that like to stick out, so the hairspray will help with that as well and then a bubble or even a scrunchie. I like to use a scrunchie because it gives my hair a bit more of a tighter hold, as opposed to like a normal bobble and then, of course, some hair grapes. I'Ve just got these from superdrug. You can buy them anywhere. They'Re, like i think, a pound and then, of course, the actual ponytail itself, so this ponytail is from roots hair extensions. So this is the 22 inch powerpoint and mine's in the shade ash medium brown, and there is also a comb here. Can we just take a second to look at like this little cute bag that it's coming and it's with their hanger as well? Imagine you just like clip it into your wardrobe and a little hair drop. So i'm going to open this up really quickly and then i'm going to slide it out of the top, and then this is what the ponytail looks like. So it does come on its own little hanger as well. So it's super easy and neat when it comes out of the bag. I'M just going to give it a quick comb through so you're, probably wondering why there's like a random curly piece, and that is so that it can wrap around sort of where your hair bubble is. So it just helps it with it being a little bit. Curly and as you look at it, you'll notice that there's a few different lengths to it, and this is just going to help so that when it's up on your head, it's not going to be like one blunt cut. If that makes sense, it is just going to float nice and easy, so i'm just going to take my hair out of this bubble that it's in so what i like to do is sort of scrape my hair back if that makes sense, so i'm going gon Na use my hands, can you see this like already just little tufty bits everywhere, so i'm just gon na use my hands to sort of gather all my hair up, i'm not using muscles for this one and then i'm gon na take my smoothing brush and just Start sort of shape the hair into how i want it and to put it as high on my head as i want it as well. So to do this, i'm actually gon na flip my head upside down, because it's a lot easier that way and all i'm gon na do is just keep brushing the hair through. So there's no lumps or bumps and then tie it really quickly with the scrunchie. So i'm gon na put it quite high up just because obviously the ponytail does have a bit of weight to it. You can wear it at the nape of your neck, but i feel like, if you to wear it in the center of your head there, when you look forward, not only you're, not gon na see it, but it's also gon na, like sort of drag down a Little bit as well, so i'm just gon na tie this quite high up onto the top of my head and i have thin hair as well. So if you, if you've, got hair, that's like thicker than mine, i'd recommend a scrunchie as well or even a few hair bubbles should do the trick, but even with thin hair. I do like to have more sort of hold, so i'm trying to tighten that the best i can and then i'm going to take my hairspray and just spray it where any sort of flyaways would be so i'm going to spray sort of from my ear. All the way around to the other side of my ear and then smooth it out with the brush. So now you should look like an egghead and then this is where the actual ponytail comes in. So i'm just going to unclip it really quickly from its little hanger, and then it has this velcro just along the top here and then it also has a little clip and this little clip is basically going to sit in the center of your ponytail. Just underneath, where we've placed the bobble, so what i like to do is this little bit here that we're going to be wrapping around the ponytail. I like to gather this in my hand, and then it's not going to get tangled up in anything else and then looking forward into the mirror. I'M going to find where the beginning of the ponytail is and then just push that straight in and then with the left bit of the velcro, we're going to tuck that underneath the ponytail and around the bubble and then the same with the right hand side. So i'm going to let this bit go now and then i'm going to take the velcro sort of connect it to the left hand, side and then i'm going to lift the actual ponytail up so that doesn't get caught in the velcro. And then i'm going to secure this as tight as i can and then once we've wrapped that round a few times i like to leave sort of like an inch out so that when i grip it, it's not gon na my arms look so muscle and gross. So that when i clip it, it's not gon na sort of slide out of the grips. So i'm gon na take a few of these grips and i'm just gon na place one in for now to secure it and then with the second one. I'M gon na sort of go over that first grip, so that it sort of crosses over and then it won't move anywhere. And then here we have a big ponytail. So, as you can see, even though, like i was saying at the beginning, there is like a green tinge in my hair. You cannot see that green tinge whatsoever, no matter how much i move my hair or anything like that. It'S completely covered up, so mine is sitting just sort of like on the crown of my head so that when i turn to the side, you can see it and you can see it from the front a little bit as well. But this is how the ponytail looks, so i'm actually just going to take that comb and comb it through really quickly as well. This combs really nice and smooth, and it doesn't tug at the hair either and then here we have the 22 inch power pony gives me ariana grande vibes as well, and she's like and molly may vibes. I feel like molly mayer's, always got a big ass ponytail.
