Revive Your Curly Ponytail Extension | How To Make Your Synthetic Ponytail Extension Like New Again

Good morning i was literally in the middle of recording a completely different video for this weekend, but my friend impulsively asked me to go to the bad bunny concert with her because she couldn't find anybody else to go with. So i'm just gon na go sit at bad bunny and not know absolutely any of the words i used to really like bad bunny. I used to know all the words, but now i'm dating a white guy. I just washed my hair um, but i wanted to get on here and hang out with you guys, because i am going to try. I have two ponytail extensions and one of them is curly, but um it's she's a mess. I wanted to try to revive my curly ponytail extension. Typically, you should do this 24 hours ahead of time and i'm about nine hours from like when the concert starts so maybe like seven hours from when i have to leave, but we're gon na make it work. She'S been through a lot she's been to clubs, she's been to bars, she's had drinks in her hair, so we're just gon na try to wash her because i've literally never washed it before um, which is probably my first issue, and then i'm going to try to Revive the curls on it. I was looking up youtube videos on how to do that. That'S kind of what gave me this idea, because i couldn't find literally anything on how to do this. Hopefully this works. I mean if it works, i'm gon na post this. So if you're watching this, it works so stick around to the end and check it out. Welcome to my bathroom, no, i don't have any toilet paper. Nor do i have any toilet paper in this entire house. My life is in shambles, so we're just gon na we're just gon na move right on all right. So i have this ponytail extension. It'S just like a straight one. I tried to braid it and wear my hair in a cute little braid, but it just looked ugly any time i tried so i just gave up and it's still braided, but i was keeping it in the same bag as my curled one, and i feel like That probably wasn't a very good idea. All right, i'm afraid, i'm afraid to show you guys because you're going to be like click. Are you ready here? She is i'm gon na literally. This is what it used to look like. I hope this works, but again, if you're here it worked if you're watching this video and i uploaded it - it's because it works so stick around, but right now right now. Sarah has no idea. If it works so, oh afraid, oh afraid, do they make synthetic hair shampoo? Yes, am i going to use synthetic hair shampoo? No, i told y'all. This was an impulse thing, so i don't have synthetic hair shampoo. So i'm using just my regular shampoo i've used. I i've always just used regular shampoo on my extensions. I haven't washed my ponytail extensions, but i did have clip in extensions and i always just use regular shampoo and that always works fine for me so um. This is what we're going to do, and i'm going to wash this with. I can't decide if i should do it with cold water or warm water. All of you, hair people out there - probably freaking screaming um, but i'm gon na i'm gon na wash with cold water, because cold water is what closes natural, hair, follicles and hopefully i know she doesn't have hair follicles, but hopefully it helps a little bit. So i'm going to wash the cold water, i'm thinking i should have i'm thinking. I might i'm thinking. I should have brushed this first, but i don't know if you should brush it because it was a curly one. I don't know we'll see what happens. I shampooed it and i rinsed it and i repeated and now i'm going to condition it with the same brand conditioner that i shampoo with so i'm hoping that the conditioner will kind of smooth it out and i will comb it with the conditioner in. But i think it's fixing it a little bit, so i don't know we'll see once again do i have the proper equipment? My answer is: no. You should use a wig brush if you have one. I don't have one so i'm just using this comb and i'm going to do it over the bathtub. So i don't get water all over my house, but look. It already looks like it looks better, i'm a little nervous to comb it just because i don't want to make it like up and ratty, but there's some parts in here that are still a little ratchet um. I did try to comb through most of it with my fingers, while i was washing it so um just a tip for that as well. I think that really helped this person like pulling out of this okay. So maybe i shouldn't comb it i don't know. Oh, it's the right thing to do. Maybe it's better to do it while the water's running on it. So it looks pretty good, so i'm just gon na hang it like that. I feel like i should put something in it: um just to help it curl back. I mean obviously it's it's pretty good, so i have this monet air dry cream for effortless heatless styling shout out to my girl, sam. You should buy it from her because she sells it and she's killing it and she's got really good products so um. It says it helps tame, soften and style. Your hair, without the need for styling, so i wouldn't try to put this in here - could be a major mistake, but um i don't have curly hair, so i don't have stuff for curly hair. So you know what this whole video of all you curly hair people, are just watching me roast me in the comments like give me a better way to do this. I would love to know how to actually be doing this effectively, but i'm going to twist some pieces that don't look great all right. Well, i guess we're just gon na let her dry now i'll see you guys in a couple hours, i'm back to check on her. This looks pretty good hold on still a little wet, but it looks pretty good, so i would say success. I definitely give credit to the monet air dry cream. It gave me a really nice. Like finished non-frizzy. Look, it's still a little wet, but i think it'll be good by the time she gets here. I still have a few hours until i'm actually gon na put it in so by some grace of god. That actually worked, as i just literally told you four seconds ago, um so yeah so uh. All i did was take that storm of a mess and uh shampooed it twice and then conditioned it, combed it with the conditioner in and then let the water run through it. While i continue to comb out literally, all the curls, i think, combing it out, is what really helped the curls come back, because there was just like a lot of like craziness happening, so once i combed it out, it really brought the curls back and then i Put that air dry monet cream in the extension, i will leave sam's link for her monet shop down below so that you can go get that air dry cream. I think it works really well in my natural hair, and it worked really well on the extension as well, so definitely recommend that there was like a lot of there's a lot going on. In that extension, there was like a lot of knots, but also like a lot of gross things, so this is also psa to make sure that you're always cleaning your extensions, because that's disgusting to not, i said it earlier, but seriously i mean it like if all Of you hear people come for me like genuinely or all of your hair people, but also all of like you, curly hair people.
