Easy + Cute Ponytail Style For Short 4C Natural Hair( Protective Style)- Ft Betterlength

You all are staying safe in this Corona crisis so for today guys I'm going to be doing like a really cute, simple natural hair, protective style and it's gon na be a ponytail. But it's going to be, like you know, a little something-something at the front like I saw this picture on Instagram and I wanted to try my hand at recreating the style, even though I'm not using like a similar ponytail. I just really liked the braid that was at the friend, so I'm here trying to recreate it um. My hair is fresh freshly washed. If I can talk, my hair is freshly washed and I bloat it out yeah and I didn't really add anything to my hair except some leave-in conditioner. So what you're gon na do is part your hair in half like you, want to leave a half out, because that's the part that you're going to be doing a little decorative braids. Then I went in guys with some wild growth oil from my scalp, because my hair was dry and since I washed it - and I blew it out - it was like extra dry, so you're, just gon na part, your hair and that's the partying, like I literally parted One on the side and a mini braid beside it, and then I did like a diagonal. It'S that I have enough. That'S the word, but I did like a slant sort up part. So we're gon na have two big braids a little braid and then everything else will be in a ponytail like it's really pretty easy. As long as you just like get the concept of like the partying and your parts. Don'T have to be exactly like mine, but you know it can be somewhat close and I'm going in with the magic fingers. That'S the jail for braiders, and I use that when I'm making braids or if I'm doing ponytails like it really helps with flyaways. And it's like a product I really like, so I'm just gon na go in and braid the hair and the guys today's video is brought to you in collaboration with better land and y'all know. I worked with better land on like three occasions or so three to four occasions and guys, I'm literally like revamping a old ponytail like I got this ponytail from them. Like I don't know some months ago, I don't know, but it's a afro kinky curly ponytail and it's a 16 inch, it's a drawstring and guys it really really kept up to par like if that made any sense. It'S still in like good condition. So I'm just revamping it and I'm just showing you what it looks like like months later and yeah or first braid is somewhat complete. So after that first braid you're just going to go in and do a big braid on the side and then other big braid. That'S like slant and then you're gon na bring everything up in a ponytail like this is like really simple, the braiding and like the parting of the braid, really just spices, everything up, but this is pretty simple like I think you can do this and if you Can'T like braid, I think, like you, could do like flat twist instead and it would still look cute, but this is like a really quick and cute protective style, I'm literally just going in with the shinin gem, and I am going to just part the hair put It in between just so when I do the braid my hair is flat because you know I have 4c or it be whatever y'all want to call it. I have type 4 hair, so it's really thick. So I have to go in between my hair and add product. This makes the hair flat and pretty smooth. This is like my, which you might call it. My little secret is what I do to get my hair, like really laid after I'm satisfied that the product is in the entire, like hair, I'm just gon na go and make the little baby hears that I want, and then I'm gon na, like detangle the hair And then go in and start braiding like using product like this, sometimes make the hair like harder to braid. I did kind of over use a product. I tend to use a lot of product, sometimes but like yeah. If you can like manage to braid your hair without using the product and that's fine, but this is what I find that works from my hair and yeah. You see. I keep going back and like pulling out the braids because the hair was so slippery, but in the end I got it. I figured it out, but you know what works on my hair might not work for your hair, so you really have to like just try and experiment with different things and figure out your hair and what works for you. We all might have like type for natural hair, but something that works for me does not work for you necessarily because we all have different kind of like hair characteristics. Does that make any sense? I don't know but - or here are all like individuals, you know, so it all depends. So after I'm like satisfied with, like my edges, I'm gon na go in and do that final braid. After doing that final braid, then I'm gon na just start my ponytail. So I'm gon na go in between the hair. Do that final braid and then I'm gon na go in with the product and get the ponytail together and y'all know how I get my hair late. Already we parted section, my section, you add some product to the roots and you comb. You call me comb through and then you just put it in the direction that you want your hair to go and you just literally like smooth everything out. That'S literally the key for a sleek ponytail on type 4 hair like sectioning sectioning, is your best friend and smoothing as you go along. So now that the braiding is out of the way we're gon na go in to do the actual ponytail guys and I'm going in with a styler factor, this is their pomade, their hair pomade because I didn't have any edge booster. So I'm using the hair pomade and I'm just using that to help with my ponytail. So today, the only products that I used were the magic finger shining gym and the staff factor edge. Booster, hair, pomade and again as a hair that I will be using, is from federally length it's their 16 inch, drawstring ponytail and it's in the a pro kinky, curly texture and guys. I'M gon na tie that up and yeah we're gon na go into applying or ponytail, and that's what the ponytail looks like come to it like two clips and two combs and a drawstring and guys I'm using the can to define and shine custard. And I literally just soaked the ponytail at water. I fast order that fast forward that part, but I soaked the ponytail with water and then I just went in with a can to define and shine custard and guys. Do you see how popping the curls are? Like? My hair looks amazing, like at the pony's here, looks like it's fresh out of the package, but it's old honey. I'Ve had this for months and look at how amazing that looks. It looks so real like it looks so natural. So this is like the finished result and I'm really really loving my hair make sure to leave me a like.
