New Best* More Flat & Lighter Clip In Extensions Install In-Depth Tutorial | Ft. Idn Hair

Hey girl, welcome back to my channel. My name is Ashley bedek and today we're going natural. Yes, I have my natural hair out. We'Re actually going to be doing clip in extensions today. You guys know. I love me a good lace. I love me a good wig. I love to braid my hair up tuck it away and leave it alone today, you'll be seeing my natural hair and what it looks like in a blowout, but even better. So I did go ahead and wash and condition my hair yesterday. Today I did carpool and no all all of the things with the kids, and so my hair got random. So you're gon na see what it looks like in a bun and how I kind of like re-load it out to kind of like pull it back out and then we'll be teaming up with idn. And I'm going to be showing you how I install tape. In so this was very nostalgic and fun. Before there was lace available on the market. I would use like my old sew-in hair. You know we used to go to the hair stylist and they would like cut your sew in or cut your tracks to like fit. Your head in the sewing, and then we took it out - you had all these chopped up pieces. I was able to discover how to purchase these wig clips from the beauty supply store in the little pack and just add them to those chopped up pieces and I'd make my own tape. Ins and I loved it, as you guys can see from the texture. We are going kinky straight and it does give a very natural Vibe, so you'll see what it looks like um in a ponytail and all of that, but here I'm literally just showing you what it looks like blown out. I didn't press the length of my hair. I did press the top just a little bit um to tame it, but like the rest of my hair back here, for example like this - is my god-given hair right here and you guys can see this is the length and then, if you compare it to a Piece of the extension you can see, this is Ashley's Hair and then this is the extension, so it Blends in really really nice. Even when you pull it to the side, you really can't see which pieces are my hair and which pieces are the extensions. So it's going to give for a good like behind the hair moment like so, and this is my favorite way to wear it kind of like out of my face and push back and then here I'll, be able to put it up in ponytails and buns without Further Ado: let's go ahead and jump into the install process subscribe if you haven't already. Ladies, so we are about to get into it wash blow dried, my hair. Yesterday, I've been meaning to do this video for a while, but I really wanted to dye my natural hair jet black first um and that just didn't happen anyways we're here. So I did wash my hair yesterday. It'S raining out, so I just did a wash and a blow out um, but I wanted to show you guys the packaging before we get into my natural hair. This one does come from idn and I believe it's I defined. Naturally, I got it right on the first try fans: this is the packaging here and uh. Let me open it up. Let me go ahead and unbox the metal guys can see. I'Ve already been in here also inside the box, I'm digging in two clips and they gave us this brush and they also gave us a rat tail comb. Okay, so this is real, Remy hair. This is what it looks like. This is how it comes packaged. I did get two bundles I'll, have the details and the specs on this in the description box, but these are real 100 Remy hair, and this is literally the best quality. So they should last you a year plus, depending on like how often you're wearing them. If you're wearing them all the time, they should last a year, if you're wearing them just here and there they should definitely still go beyond that year. Okay, so these are the wefts here now forgive the crimping. Of course they were packaged in a box, but they are absolutely beautiful. This is Kiki straight hair, so let's hope it matches my hair perfectly again. I was going to dye my hair jet black, but I'm kind of happy. I did it because um they are a natural brown color and I did get I'm not sure they call it the color like wefts or bundles, but I got two packs Link in the description box. Please please please be feel free to check out the description box and you'll find a direct link to the ones that I have and then you'll also find um like all the specs on specific. Typically what I I haven't, what you see here, I'm sorry. My kids are in the background, so when you open it up, okay, so you open it up and they're already pre-cut pieces, and then they do have the clips on them. So this piece here was the first piece I took off and it has one two three four five Clips so you'll be able to take it around and like go from ear to ear. Oh and it actually fits your ear. I used to wear clip-ins like OG days before lace was a thing and so you'll be able to snap it in and there's enough Clips here to keep it really secure so that it's not like hanging or that it doesn't like slide or slip out. Let'S see what the second piece looks like, so the second piece is definitely shorter than the first piece. This is the first piece and then this is the second piece you get like this more in the big one, so they're all going to be like different lengths. So that way, um you know you need the longest piece in the back and then this is the third piece. And then this is the fourth piece, and then you have one small piece, and so the three smallest pieces are like this one. This one, this one and then this one now this is my natural hair and again I have not been taking care of it. It was doing really well and thriving. You guys already know when I postpartum with each of my kids, my hair during pregnancy, postpartum just literally went crazy. It was so beautiful, so long so luscious. I have naturally thin hair and it's also fine. So by Thin I mean I really don't have like a lot of strings of hair like girls with thick hairdo and then fine, because the strings that I do have or the strands rather are the individual actual strands are like very thin. So I have All Odds Against me when it comes to natural hair um, which is what it's just a lot of times easier for me to keep it in a ponytail or a bun or underneath wigs okay. So this is the texture shot of the hair. After doing just one or two heat passes on the hair, and then this is my hair blown out, so you guys can see with my hair blown out it actually Blends really well, so I'm just going to go ahead and just re-blow dry, my hair to kind Of like pull it out from it being um rained on this morning and then also from it being in a bun foreign, so the Clips open and close they're much stronger than like the hair combs that are in wigs um, like at the nape. These are a little bit or a lot bit a lot bit different they're like strong clips, so they open and close sorry, my little girl's coming in, so I'm gon na just open them. This is the biggest track that they offer and so it's um. It goes from ear to ear, so I'm gon na go ahead and apply it, as you guys can see how full the clips are just one and look how much thickness and fullness I had. I wish my hair was this thick. I feel like this. One clip is like the fullness of my entire head of hair, so I did it a little bit backwards. The bottom one or the first time I put it in - was the second longest one in the bundle um. This is actually the longest one. So the first one came with, I believe it was four clips and you guys see this one has one two three four five Clips, so this one is longer, but I like this one for the second row, because it's gon na go from ear to ear straight Across a little bit more - and this is what it looks like with two one thing I'll say is when it comes to attaching those clips to your hair. If you attach it it's kind of like when you do like a ponytail, you put the bobby pins in. If it feels like a piece is like uncomfortable or like it's like pulling or like it, just hurts: go ahead and open it up and re-attach it, because that pain or that discomfort is not gon na go away with time. It'S just going to be a nag. So you'd rather fix it, while you're still there, okay, so one thing I was going to go and do one lower, but I do want to be able to put it in a ponytail. So I think we are as low as it gets, and this is what it looks like it's holding it up. Of course, you'd have to go in and finesse and make sure everything is right and covered, but I wouldn't go any lower unless I'm going to just wear the hair straight down. I think we have maybe three or four pieces left in that one bundle. This is the third piece inside that um bundle, so we're gon na do. Is I'm gon na go ahead and attach this one and then from here I'm going to part the hair out or style it? How I want to actually wear it. Thank you, okay. So this is what we're working with and you guys can see when I pull it down here itself Blends, but it will be nice to have a little bit more fullness here. So again we have this piece here and I think this is going to be the perfect length to um part out and like attach right here to kind of like pull some of that fullness to the top. But we want to make sure that we can number one put it in a ponytail if we want to and number two, but we have another. So I'm gon na go ahead and straighten this one out and apply it and then we're going to remove the other one from that second bundle and apply it to the opposite side. And then we're going to see if we want to like kind of like add a little bit of heat to our hair, to make everything perfectly Bland and just look like a really nice install. Let'S take that other small piece and repeat that top last step. So, let's kind of feel where I have this one kind of try to match, as close as I can to the same parting, also I kind of like it to not to be like a uniformed like. I don't necessarily feel the need to have a comb on hand to like do a professional part. I kind of like it when it um you just kind of like use your fingers to separate and find where you want it to go. Also, your placement is um. Can be very, very um how you said strategic, like you, can strategically place them to like complement your hair. For example, I have a big forehead and a sparse hairline. So if I want to add a little bit more fullness and like cover, you can sort of put it in to go forward and that way it kind of like will cover my entire hairline um or I can do it sideways to be parallel, and you guys Can see it'll go sideways and so um you can kind of curve them even when it goes back. You want it to be as flat as possible because it doesn't bulk by any means, but you can again manipulate the style based on what you need. So I'm going to kind of find a happy medium to kind of like cover my sides, because I definitely would not want to have to um put so much heat on my natural hair. Okay. So the Inglewood girl and me loves a good baby hair. A lot of good Edge or an adult hair, as some people would call this, so I'm going to use my own product smells so good, and this is the edge control from beatxb.com check it out in the description box, foreign, my baby, my baby, okay babies. So we are done with a look, and this is the hair now personally, because of a big forehead, I prefer to go behind my ears, but I wanted to take some pictures. I wanted to show you guys what it looks like down now. You guys can see where a little bit of the edge control I got on the hair and when it attaches it kind of will make it a little bit stringy. So, for that reason be careful when it does come, so I don't get anything baby hair, because if anything, that probably would be the only reason you can tell where the hair starts. So these are the smaller tracks I feel like. I can put them in there and get closer then I also don't want the hair to be bulky, but it kind of will help to make the hair look a little bit more natural. If I do so again, it's very easy. You don't need to perfectly part. It'S like a to each his own thing, where, if you want to perfectly part it you can, but you just want to make sure it is covering um or is being covered by your hair above you never want to be able to see the tracks so like. If I put that there and I can see the track savings that came up too high - and that means I cannot use it and for reference, this is a piece of my real hair right here. This is my natural real hair. That'S coming out of my scalp and then this is a piece of the extension, so the extensions honestly are not that much longer. This is my texture. You can see how rough it is. You can see how smooth this is. My hair is only maybe an inch shorter, so it definitely is a natural length, so that's going to help it to blend. It just looks like it's a you guys can see how it just looks like a natural growth out um and not too blunt of a cut. I do like having it to be a similar length to my hair and just come in for girth or fullness um, but yeah. Let me go ahead and take some pictures of the hair like this and then I'll show you the hair. It may be one other style, so you guys can see how versatile it is to have the clip-ins okay girls. So I did go ahead and have a little time on Insta. With this look and Vibe, I wanted to share it off so excited to have this Vibe and I love the way this came out. So when idea reached out to me, they offered me kinky straighter. They told me to pick my texture. I did go for kinky straight because I knew that this was an option that would work regardless this mimics African-American hair, the best, if you will, just because again I was - I didn't - have to press out the length of my hair. I was able to wear in a blown out State and it works so I'll be able to put it up into like ponytails and stuff and it just mimics my natural hair. So I'm able to go to gym Pilates around the house, clip it up and put it into all different hairstyles, and it just looks like my hair, but Fuller literally, and it like it's secure like I said it's not, it doesn't feel if you've ever wearing clippings And you know clip-ins feel secure until you get into a fight or something like that like they don't just fall out or anything like that, and then you have this flexibility of taking them out and night and if you're like me, you probably would only wear me Before three or four tracks, three or four long tracks that way it's very easy to like get home, lay stumbling in from the club. You can literally have eyes closed, turning the shower on and it's easy to pop them out and lay them on your counter and then in the morning, put them back in with no issues um. The only downside to clip-ins, especially if you're natural like me, is that when your hair frizz is up um, you will have to go in and like touch up your hair because it's exposed and it's not covered like with a wig. So this is why I opted for the kinky straight and if you want to have a silk press and give like the tape ends or the micro links look or Vibe, you would go with like silky straight. The only demand of those is number one um making sure that your hair is covering, because it's pressed out it's more likely to see the tracks and then to the maintenance of having to add heat to your hair. So highly recommend these. You can even braid them up to add like crimps, for a natural look. They go good in like ponytails and buns, as I mentioned, and even like a little butterfly clippies so highly recommend it's always a great option, but yeah I'm gon na. Let you guys go yeah.
