Drawstring ponytails are one of the most common types of hair pieces.. They consist of a stretch cap, a comb at the top and the bottom, and a drawstring which is either off to the side or on the bottom.. Let'S take a look at how these are put. In., The first step is to put the natural hair into a bun. The higher on the head, the more of the natural hair. It will cover.. So if you have a ponytail, that is not quite the same shade you might want to put that a little bit higher on the head.. You are going to take the first top clip and slide it in. Then come down stretch. The cap out find the lower comb and slide that in underneath the bottom., While holding that in you are going to find your drawstring and you are going to pull it tight. Once you have that in place, you are just going to take the excess string wind. It around your fingers and you are going to tuck it underneath that cap. From there all you do is smooth it into place and you are ready to go.

Doctored Locks: That's like saying all wigs look unnatural or extensions look bad. It really depends on how you wear them. I've seen people do really amazing things with drawstring style bases. Drawstrings put a lot less pressure on the scalp than claw clip bases, so they can be worn longer too. Maybe try doing more of an updo style with it to help cover the join and make it look less fakey. :)

elanajoy86: My grandmother is 90 and her hair is very thin now, she wants to cut her hair very short, but I'm afraid it will be a lot of maintenance to make it look nice when it is so thin. She has always had a beautiful bun, it is her signature look, in fact, I can't count on one hand how many times I've seen her hair down. Can these be braided or twisted into a bun, will they even secure on thin hair? If not, what good options does she have?

CHANNEL vibe: I dnt like wearing drawstring pony tails because they look unnatural
