Hey guys! Today I share with you some easy curly hair tips for making your natural curly ponytail look like you have longer hair and how to get your ponytail super sleek, shinier, and smooth (without adding hair, weave, or extensions)! My regular ponytails usually look really short, lack volume, and look more like a poof (which I definitely rock sometimes). But this video is for those on Instagram who want their hair to look longer and who always ask me on IG how I get my curly ponytails to look so long and sleek. Hey guys, my name is Julianna Palencia, aka Jujubee and today I'm going to show you how I go from this to this elongated ponytail. That'S super big and really easy to do. I want to say really easy for this life pretty easy to do and, as many of you guys know, I recently cut my hair and I still managed to get my curly ponytail to look long with these few steps. When I upload a video, so just keep watching so right here is my hair, as you can tell all out, and this is actually day 7 here. I cannot believe it because usually my washing goes only less like three days and Max and my hair has lasted for seven days. So if you'd like to see an a tutorial of this wash and going on the products I used and make sure you let me know down below so in order to get the most voluminous ponytail, I like to do my ponytails on dry hair. I have done a ponytail tutorial before on wet hair, but I realized that when I do my ponytails on hair, that is what they usually tend to shrink up into like a little tiny ponytail. So, for me to get the most stretched out, look I like to do it on dry, like an old, washing or something so what I'm gon na do is dampen my hair, that is going to be slicked back, so I just recycled an old bottle of product That I had used up and fill that with water, I'm only spraying it on the sections that are gon na be like sweet, but so now that that is done, I would typically like the way that a middle part looks. Oh me: yes, so I'm going to choose to do a middle part for my ponytail and I'm going to add a little bit more water and then next I'm gon na take a leave in this is Carol's daughter's, Coco, cream, estelle leave-in conditioner for their new line And I think it's coming, it should be coming out within the next week or two don't use too much, because your hair is it dripping what so, if you used too much in my state, wait just enough to get your hair kind of slippery and moisturize. After smoothing that - and I'm gon na take this and use that to start trying to get out some of the curls in to smooth my hair now you want to make sure that your hair is pretty wet. When you do this, but not too wet you, don't want to do this on dry hair at all, and I have like little bumps in my hair of the curls popping through, so I'm just taking that and trying to smooth all of that out. You can also use a comb if you like, but she does like a better job. So next I'm going to use the new eco styler goal to lay my edges and to get it really really sleek. Whenever I do a hairstyle like a sleek look, I pretty much always use either an edge control or a gel make sure you get this back portion here or me. That'S the part that curls up the most so now on to the fun part, at least for me, this is the fun part laying my edges now have an edge tutorial, where I show you guys how I lay my I just don't get so many questions on Instagram, in particular about what I use for my edges are holiday them so make sure you check out that tutorial for in-depth instruction in details. So at this point what I would have recommend is to take like a hair scarf and let your edges. While you do the rest of your hair um, that will really help to get it sleek and to keep it from curling up and to get it to set. But I personally don't have a head scarf right now, so I won't be able to do that step right now. I'M just going to move on to the ponytail. Now we're doing a curly ponytail. The position of it is extremely important. You can do a very high up ponytail, which for me will equal like a pouf or something that kind of sticks up like a looks like a pineapple, but it won't typically look very long. Also if you do it too low. For me, it ends up. Looking really really short because I lose a lot of the volume. So for me, I like to do my ponytails kind of right in the middle and a trick that I use it is to use like a ponytail holder, honestly, the looser the better. If you have shorter hair, then you can use shoelace or people cut like a stocking and use that, because it has a lot more stretch, but because my hair is a little bit longer. I just am going to use a ponytail holder like this. You stretch it out of it if you want, and I'm gon na take my hair smooth it out one more time and I'm just going to place the ponytail holder around my hair. If I were a bit too many times, it'll be really tight to my head, but it will get really small, so just wrap it around once and you'll see the difference, Oh mate, so here it goes. If I wrap it around once, as you can see, it's still not like super voluminous, but what I like to do and start pulling that hair away from the ponytail holder and getting it really stretched out. As you can see, it's already stretching out a bit and essentially what's happening is all of the hair that is like in the middle here. Pretty much is it even in the ponytail holder, the only hair that actually like kind of being pulled back as the hair? That'S like right around the ponytail holder, and this is how I make my ponytails like so long as you can see. The hair is like pulled into the ponytail versus just pulling it out and letting it look a lot longer. It'S really simple, but it makes a huge difference like, as you can see, so I'm just going to be the same thing to this side and then start pulling good to the side like this get in as pretty much get in as much hair out of that Ponytail as possible, so here ya go the last thing that I like to do and I'm like this is very, very picky guys I really liked having to find hair. So what I like to do is take any pieces that are like frizzen up like this. One is just kind of dangling there, so I'm going to spray some water on it, it'd take a little bit more leave-in conditioner and smooth it over that just a little bit because you don't want like white hair, because we're not doing this on like fresh first Day, hair or like freshly washed hair, there can tend to be frizzy pieces so, like I said this is like being very, very annoyingly meticulous, but this is just what I like to do so if I said that was the last step, I lied, but the last Step for me is I like to add shine to my hair. We could feel like that artificial shine by adding some oil I'm going to take the main choice. This is the herbal hair tonic and soy milk, deep hydration, serum oil mist, and I'm going to take that like a stream. So this is what I have right now, so I'm just going to take that spray it all over my hair and kind of line it. So here is the fun it's a very simple way to get a elongated and sleep ponytail.
