How To: Diy Drawstring Ponytail | As Low As $5 | Kinky Curly Hair From Thekeyisme Haircollection

Hey: what's up y'all, it's your girl, the kids me - and i am back again with another video and this video i'm going to be showing you exactly how to create your own drawstring, ponytail, so easy and so cost efficient than the fact that you can do it From the comfort of your own home, so right here, as you can see, i'm just going to show you the actual base hair net that you're going to need for your drawstring ponytail. The one that i have is in the size, large, and i did get it in the circular canvas now they do have it in square and in a smaller size. However, to me, i feel, like the large gives you more space on your actual um on your actual ponytail to add more tracks. So that's why i went with the large, as you can see here, i'm just showing you elastic with the drawstring and just showing you how much is able to go. I found these on amazon. I'M definitely going to put all the information down below. I believe it's three dollars. I think i did get the pack of three for seven dollars and it also gave you eclipse. I love the fact that they didn't include the clips already on the net, because it'll be easier for you to go ahead and sew the tracks on now. For me, i am going to be using a sewing machine. So you'll see me here see me here. Putting the actual net on my wig block and i'm going to show you exactly how i make my measurement so that once i go over to the sewing machine, i now have a clean cut line and it have clean cut direction on where the tracks should lay. So here you'll see me take out my measuring tape and i'm pretty much going to draw a line for every inch. All of this i'm going to put in the description box for you purchased on amazon. Of course, amazon is my best friend, so i'm sure it's yours as well, but i'm just going to go ahead and draw my guidelines that way. It makes it easier for you if you are a beginner, whether you're doing it on a sewing machine or your hand stitching. I promise you. This is going to make everything go by so much smoothly. Well, the hair that i'm going to be using is going to be some kinky curly hair from my hair collection. The key is me, hair collection. It really doesn't matter what type of hair you use you could be using old tracks say you have like a wig or something that you just want to take apart, and you want to still use the hair because it's version hair and it lasts forever. You could definitely use that hair to make this ponytail any type of synthetic hair that you may buy from your beauty supply store. This is your ponytail says you can pretty much do anything you want to do with it, but i love the fact that when we, when you're able to create something yourself, especially especially when you're able to create something yourself, it saves you so much time and money To me, i've had a few people. Ask me: do i have any sewing classes? Unfortunately, i don't so. I would like to give you as much information as i can right here. You'Ll see me showing you the needles that i use for my sewing machine. These needles are going to work so much better than the ones that the sewing machine comes with because they're thicker, as well as the presser footer. I use a open, presser foot, as you can see here it is. It is a lot wider. That way, i can actually see my tracks under it when i am sewing everything together. So here you'll see me just to me when i have the one inch space in between the actual tracks. I like to go ahead and double my wefts. So that's what i always start with first so here you just see me doubling my wefts before i actually put the wefts on the ponytail here. You just want to go ahead and line your track up with that first guideline and just keep lining it up. You want to go ahead and start sewing. Make sure that you back make sure that you back stitch back stitching is going to ensure that your tracks aren't going anywhere. Sis definitely make sure you backstitch, as you can see, i think i went back and forth. Maybe like three times on the ends, and it's pretty much just that simple - i mean i'll go ahead and put down in the description box the settings that i have um my sewing machine on. I also put another video down in the description box as well of another video that i did making wigs on my sewing machine. Just so you can see this video and then see another one. I promise you, the concept is still the same. You do want to make sure that, with this drawstring ponytail, you do not sew too close to the edge on both sides, because you don't want to sew down that elastic under the neck. Take it away. Take it away, feeling too good to me chilling all day. All in your space is where i wan na be here in this room. What did you do? I just you always make, i'm not sure about most people. I know most people do not like to cut their bundles. For me, i haven't found a technique or a way with the sewing machine to not cut the bundles so at any every end of the track. I do cut the bundles down and then i backstitch, if anybody come up with a method to where you get the flatness, that you need when it comes to a wig or anything hair related um on a sewing machine. Definitely let me know because i know when i used to hand stitch. I was able to fold the tracks over all that i crave when you're away nights are sleepless. Do we need space yeah? Maybe your brain or your my weakness, giving we take the love that we make it's my favorite drug i've been hanging by myself asking for help, but nothing seems to work. You always make me feel like okay. I just can't stop thinking about you you're. The reason i can't get out of you so, as you can see, this is going to complete the look. It is one thing that i will say is that i wish i would have instead of going in with one inch. Maybe like switched it up. Maybe half an inch than an inch and then another half inch, because i actually wanted to add another half a bundle on here. This is just one full bundle, but i would actually like to put like another half just to make it more fuller and i did go ahead and add the combs off camera and i'm just showing you exactly what the straw string ponytail looks like. I am going to go ahead and put it on for you, so you can see exactly what it looks like. I absolutely love it and again. This hair that i have on my website is 100 version here. Just keep in mind. If you don't go the route with 100 virgin hair - and you were to pick up some synthetic bundles from your hair store, just keep in mind that you may not be able to manipulate them as much as you would if it was 100 virgin hair with the Hair that i have from my site, i can dye this hair. I can straighten this hair. I can pretty much do whatever. I would like to do with this hair. As you can see here, i did go ahead and define the curls and it made the curls pop also for the ponytail. You do want to make sure you at least take a little bit of the hair and wrap it around just so you can conceal the outs, the outer part of the elastic bands, so yeah.
