Hi guys, my rows still here from fashion still NYC and welcome back to my channel, do not forget to give me a thumbs up and subscribe if you love fashion, beauty, lifestyle and travel, when we can travel again content, this is a really fun video. Today, I've been getting so many questions about how I do my slicked back low bun and then my slicked-back ponytail. Look that I thought I would do a full, dedicated video just to the topic, and I'm super excited that this video isn't partnership with Moroccan oil. I have always wanted to work with Moroccan oil. I actually use their products. You would have seen me use them in previous blogs, while I'm like doing my hair super happy that this video is sponsored by Moroccan oil. All the products that you need will be listed down below in the description box, so without further ado. Let'S get started, but first let me show you my outfit, because it's a cute one, alright guys so. First up, I'm wearing my new favorite earrings from the gilded stone. I featured them in a previous video. You guys the jewelry is just so amazing if you love statement, jewelry jewelry, that no one else will have like very avant-garde. Jewelry definitely check out the gilded stone and then I'm wearing my favorite H & M linen button-up shirt. It does come back and stop in and out by the hmmm website. So if it's available, you know where you can find it and I'm wearing this brand new skirt that I just got in from revolve. It'S actually the songs of style collection. I live for a fringe moment, just in case you're wondering this is a size medium and it fits perfectly. I absolutely love the pattern on it. It'S very kind of like avant-garde kind of old-school, satin material. I love this little. Wood buckle there and a little sash. It'S so good, I'm in love with this girl for the shoes I just went with dolce vita raffia sandals. These are super comfortable, very affordable. You guys know I live for a feel that heel is everything you would have seen these in my spring and summer shoe collection, video. So if you want to see my shoes definitely check out that video, so that is my outfit for today and now without further ado Pharrell this time, let's get into how I achieve my slicked-back ponytail using products from Moroccan oil. So, first up, I'm not gon na type, my hair, because it becomes like a war. When you tell somebody where you think your hair texture is and then based on them just looking through a screen there, they can pinpoint what they think your hair type is. Let'S just say my hair is quite Lee, it doesn't curl it coils and the coils are fairly tight. I usually wear my hair in a slick back bun or either. I do a twist out both require a lot of product, and so I usually wash my hair every week and a half, if not every week to start I wash my hair with the Moroccan oil hydrating, shampoo and conditioner, and you may have even seen me use This before previously in like a vlog, but I absolutely love this shampoo and conditioner. It is color, safe, paraben, free and you guys the smell. It smells so good, like Moroccan oil, just smells heavenly in the summer and in the spring months my hair is just super dry and because my hair isn't actually jet-black, it just looks dry even with even when it's like hydrated, and so I love hydrating shampoos like This that put the moisture back into my hair, even though I'm cleansing out built-up or leftover products I feel like after I shampoo my hair. My scalp is super clean. There'S, no irritation on my scalp. I have super sensitive scalp, so I can't use a lot of things that have a lot of fragrance or things like that, but I have no issues with this and then the conditioner. What I love about this conditioner is that it just makes my curls pop Ethan pop-pop-pop pop-pop-pop. I also love that my hair looks shiny, like it doesn't. Look as dull as it like is in real life, because my hair is a very kind of like lighter brown and another great thing about this conditioner is it helps to detangle. It provides your hair with enough slip that you can easily detangle it with your hands. Love these Moroccan oil hydrating, shampoo and conditioner the business. So after I shampoo and conditioned my hair and my hair is nice and hydrated. It'S super fluffy. My curls are defined. I go in with this boar bristle brush from a rocket oil and what I love about this brush. Is it like really catches your hair? Okay, I mean it catches it and it holds it and it puts it where it needs to go, and I also love this super sharp tip on it because I use it to create my middle part. Sometimes I'll do a side part, and I also use it when I'm going in, to do my baby hairs as well, because sometimes you want to do some baby hairs. I mean why not they're cute today, I didn't like my very barely-there baby hairs with this super cool boar, bristle teasing brush, and I loved actually doing this when my hair is still wet because it makes like handling my hair a lot easier if it's dry. I literally have to go in and like wet my entire hair in order to get it into the style. My hair is very thick when it dries it's super thick and the shrinkage is real, and so it's easier for me to manipulate my hair when it's wet. I got create my part with my brush here, whether it's a middle part or a side part I go in with this styling gel from Moroccan oil. It'S a shaping gel with argan oil that creates sleep and structure. It looks with a strong hold. Add shine creates PC definition for both wet and dry styles, and that is what you need. You need something with a strong hold, but still flexibility, and I love this Moroccan oil styling gel, mainly because it's clear it goes on clear. It dries clear: it's not flaky. That also adds a little bit of shine to your hair, which is what I want, because I don't have jet-black hair. It makes my hair look a lot darker. I actually put it around my hair edges all the way around and then I go in with my brush and I just kind of brushed everything to a point right here in the back. I then go back in with my brush, making sure that I'm getting everything down on the sides and then up in the back and then I take my little hair tie and I just put my hair into a low ponytail, and this is the hair tie. I like to use it's nothing that can catch on to your hair, because my hair is very oily and curly. It can turn a wrap around this and break off if it's like a rubber band, or something like that, I wouldn't recommend using that. I would recommend using something like this: that's very light on your hair. I just go around and around and around until I have a ponytail now you can either go ahead and like put it in a little ball with this or you can leave the hair out, which is normally what I do. I then go in with one of my favorite products from the Moroccan oil line, which is the Moroccan oil treatment from all hair types. I absolutely love this oil. It smells amazing if you put this in your hair and walk past someone they're gon na know this. I take a little bit of this oil and I saturate my left out portion of my ponytail and I work it through all of the curls, because I want to make sure I'm protecting that hair and then what I do is I just two strands twist. All the hair that's left out, you can also braid it, and then I take that and I wrap it around the ponytail base and usually you can either bobby pin it down or you can kind of slide it under one of the little laps of your hair Ties now at this point you're almost done, I mean you really are, but the thing is especially if you have very curly coily four-ish don't come for me because I said porous hair. You are gon na want to lay this down somehow because it's still kind of wet there are parts that can still kind of curl up and it won't be cohesive. So what you can do and what I like to do, if I'm like doing this look and then I have to go out quickly. Of course, I'm not going anywhere now, but pre bc kovat before kovetz i'll use some kind of setting or smoothing lotion, and in this case I will be using the Moroccan oil smoothing here, it's more of like a creamy consistency and it's for unruly and frizzy hair. It'S a smooth, blow-dry, essential for instant control. What tends to happen is for me, my little edges here likes to start curling or even little bits here like to like raise up, and so what I like to do is put a little bit of this smoothing lotion on like so, and then I will take My Moroccan oil blow dryer and smooth and blow-dry at the same time loving this smart styling infrared, hair dryer from Moroccan oil. It is like super cool like it's so smart, it's super, chic and delicate. This is probably the best blow dryer I've ever had, and the great thing about this blow dryer is that they use far infrared light, which heats the hair gently from width in reducing thermal exposure. I don't like to use a lot of very hot heavy heat on my hair. I rarely ever do, and so the fact that this heat share from within is amazing. It works really quickly to to dry your hair and kind of solidify everything, so that your ponytail looks nice, crisp and professional. Now, if lo drying is not your style, that's fine! If I have more time, I probably won't use the blow dryer. I will just take one of my silk or satin heads first, and I will tie it around mainly here around the base. This part is the part that tends to like to stand up on its own, so I will wrap my hair around that area pretty tightly and just kind of go about my day, leaving that on anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes and then after taking that off. It'S nice and dry once you have taken off your headscarf or you have done with blow-drying your hair and everything is nice and laid to perfection. I like to finish with this. It is the glamour shine finish for all hair types. It enhances shine and protects your hair, and you guys I cannot even explain how good this smells and I love that it comes in a spray tube as well. So what I like to do is spray a little in my hand, rub my hands together and then just go through and slicked back just like that, and what that does, that instantly gives your hair shine. So if your hair is not jet-black or a darker black, it's going to look like after you put this on, which just means that it'll look a little bit more healthy, a little bit more shiny, a little bit more glossy. But it's not heavy and it doesn't drip and last but not least, if you would like these, like very dainty, barely they're baby hairs, I like to use the Moroccan oil molding cream. Now this molding cream, it has a flexible, hold and a matte finish, which is great because a lot of the gels they don't have a matte finish. They have like a shiny finish and then he ends up dripping into your makeup, which is kind of counterproductive. So I like to go with molding creams. Instead, this room from Moroccan oil smells divine. Okay, it smells so good. So you just need to take like that much! You don't even need a lot. You put it right there on your edges and then you can use to the edge of like your brush or whatever you use, to lay your baby hairs to get your hair just how you want it, and it's gon na stay like that, because this molding cream Has a really good hold, even though it's a flexible hold, it's a better hold than any other, like Jill, I've ever used for my edges, and it also smells good there's no flaking of it either, which can also be an issue when you use like a gel And it has a matte finish, so it's not gon na be dripping down your face halfway through the day, which is great, and so this is what I use to create my very barely there little wispy baby hairs now at that point, your privately done, if you Just put your hair in like a little low, bun you're done. That'S it! That'S all you needed to do, but if you wants to try this ponytail look, I'm gon na give me the formal one on everything you need to achieve. This look all right guys. So, let's start with this hair look I get so many questions about like where I got the ponytail. If the ponytail came like that, if I made the ponytail what kind of hair that it I use, it doesn't really matter what hair you use. But the hair that I use is the batik reggae braids 24 inches longer length and I usually get the color 1b or two so that it matches my hair. I also put it down below, but it doesn't really matter as long as you use reggae braid, hair. Havana, hair, marley, hair, any kind of hair. That'S very big and thick like this - is the hair that you want. You don't want anything bone straight. It'S not gon na work. The longer length is better as well. If you can get the 24, because when you create this ponytail, you have to stretch out all of the hair and then in the middle you're, going to create a knot with a hair tie like this. And so you want it to be long enough. That on either side, you're gon na have enough hair, so just lay the hair all out straight and right in the middle of the hair. You'Re, just gon na take a hair tie like this and you're just gon na wrap and make like a little knot like that. But the end that's hanging is the end: that's going to go around your little ball there or your low bun. So, if you're confused on how to make the night, it's super easy, and I hope with me using this brush to demonstrate, I can make it easier for you. So literally you put this around the hair like so you just put one under like so, and you pull it so that it looks like that literally that's it, and this little in is the end. That'S going to go around your ball and this end is going to bring all that hair together very tight. Now it's going to take your hair awhile to get this big. Usually, when it comes out the pack, it's just a little fluffy, but you have to keep wearing it and wearing it and wearing it for the ponytail to get bigger and bigger and bigger. That'S just the nature of reggae braids havana, marley type of hair. It takes a while for it to get this big. This ponytail is actually so old. I'Ve had it for at least four months, it's kind of on its last leg, to be honest, but I love how the more you wear it, the bigger it gets. So what I like to do to refresh my ponytail after each wear or before I put it in and install it, I will go ahead and spray it down with a little bit more of this glimmer shine Moroccan oil, finishing spray, and then I just kind of Run my fingers through it so like fluff, it up make sure all of the hair is in place and then what I like to do is tilt my head down the end. That'S like this left from the hair. I put it around the base so that this goes all the way around your little bun, and then I just flip the hair over it once it's flipped over, I kind of fluff it out a little bit to make sure it's even on both sides. At this point, your low bun should be under the hair and then I'll take a few strands of hair from the left side. Spray it down with a little shine, run it through, and then I will wrap it under the base of my low bun, and I will just keep wrapping this around and around and around until you feel like it's covered the hair there and then I'll just slide. It under the hair tight and then I will come over to the right side and I will take a few more pieces of hair spray. It down a little again with the Moroccan oil oil glimmer shine, and then I will wrap it. The opposite way of the first way, so this is kind of anchoring the first setup here and I'll go around and around and around make sure that the base or my little bun ball is covered fully by the hair and then I'll just use, maybe like one Or two bobby pins to make sure that hair doesn't come up and that's it. You can take a little bit more glimmer, shine spray it through fluff it up, and that is how I get my low ponytail slicked back. Look with all of these amazing Moroccan oil products, so this is definitely one of my favorite hairstyles, my low ponytail, as well as my low bun. It just keeps me from having to like do my hair every single day. My hair is natural and I do love a good twist out, but honestly, a twist out only lasts for like two or three days and who has the time, even though we're at home, I'm still working everyday, and I literally just do not have the time to Do a twist out every three days is just it's not for me all of my natural gals out there y'all know what I'm talking about. So I hope that this tutorial was helpful for you guys. Let me know if you try it. Please drop it in the comments. Let me know how it goes and again, a very special thanks to Moroccan oil for sponsoring this video. All of these products can be found down below in the description box, so definitely give them a try. Alright guys. Thank you.
