Genie Ponytail Beginner Friendly No Glue | Tayb

Okay, so hey guys welcome back to my channel, so today I'm gon na be doing a genie ponytail on myself for the first time. I'Ve never done a point until in my hair before I don't know why I just got like random Mike boots of confidence that I could just do it on my own. No I'm gon na try this out today. It'S day, I don't even know how many days I've been in quarantine, but I'm just like my hair, I'm just over it. Looking like a minute, I had like a half up half down ponytail, but I went to Mexico and it got wet. It was like two minutes and I was just tired of it: stop pissing, so dang it. I was freaking tired of it. So I just took my hair down last night. I watched you last night. I just pressed it out as much as I could and so yeah we're just about to get right into the video. Hopefully this comes out really nice. Hopefully you guys. Can you know? Do it too, because I know I know y'all. I know everyone is just over. Like you're not having her hair done, I getting her lashes done, cuz I'm over it, so I'm trying to do something to get it. You know myself together. So hopefully this comes out nice and you guys can you know, do the same thing, I'm doing I'm gon na be using my brand of hair, my so here extensions and lashes and stuff like that, so I'm just gon na use one bundle because I don't. I don't want a thick genie opponent, especially because it's not that long, it's only 20 inches. So I don't want it to be like super thick, but oh yeah. So that's what we're doing so! I'M just gon na voiceover and we're just gon na get right into the video. So alright, so let's get started, I'm gon na go ahead and just pull out my little baby hairs here that I'm gon na use to lay my edges on the side y'all, I'm so nervous, like you can't tell, but I'm like I'm like shaking right now. Okay, so now I'm just gon na go ahead and start molding, my ponytail, I guess I don't was a little all over the places. I didn't really know where to start, but I ended up having these when I got to be Joe, because I didn't have any more of the got to be free spray left and of course all of these supply stores are closed. So I had to use what I had at home, but got to be super. I would have definitely worked like way better for this hairstyle, so yeah, so now, I'm just holding it out putting it up into a ponytail. The best way that I possibly can. This was a struggle for me because I am like not good at putting my hair in ponytails, because they're always like uneven and lopsided so yeah, I'm just hoping that it comes out as even as possible. So once I finally get it is even as it looks to me, I guess I went ahead and grabbed another ponytail holder, because I actually wanted to like stack it up twice. If that makes sense, I wanted it to look like a little bit higher. So as I wrap the ponytail around my hair, I went up and up if that makes sense. Hopefully this is making sense. I hope it makes sense so now my ponytail has like a little bit of like you know, height to it. If that makes sense, I'm gon na try not to say if that makes sense anymore. Okay, um all right, I'm gon na go ahead and start braiding. My a ponytail it took me a couple tries to get this right, I'm really not the best at braiding, so it was a little difficult for me, but um get this right, I'm really not the best at braiding. So it was a little difficult for me, but um. We need my head over to the side like this, which is easier for me to braid my hair. I couldn't break my hair with my head, like sitting straight up, braiding it behind my head. If that makes sense, um dang it - I just said it but anyways yeah, so tilting my head over to the side worked best for me yeah once I got all the way down to the end of the braid. I just took a little rubber band like this and tied it around the end of my ponytail. I mean the end of my braid just to lock it in place so that it doesn't come under, go ahead and throw this out there. Your crews on my left arm. It'S my birth control. If you're a girl, you already know what the deal is. No need to go into detail about that anyway. It'S moving on so now, I'm just taking a rubber band, and I'm gon na try to explain this to the best way that I possibly can I'm taking the very end of the track and I'm pulling like an inch of hair out of it and I'm wrapping The rubber band around the track, leaving that little piece of hair out. I really hope this is making sense like it took me a minute to get it and I'm sorry it's not in the camera. I was a really struggling trying to get like the piece of hair through the rubber band, but, as you can see, it's just tied around the end or the track with the little like inch of hair is left on the track. That'S like sticking out. I hope this isn't making sense y'all, I'm I'm just the worst at explaining things. As you can see here, I'm literally struggling. I just couldn't get it to go at first, so you're, probably gon na struggle a little bit at first, but just keep keep doing it. Keep playing with it you'll eventually get it that's kind of how I got it to work as well, but yeah once I finally did get it to work. I just took my fingers through it and I wrapped it around the end of my braid. So this is just in case if the state does come, unraveled which it probably shouldn't it probably won't, and so that the whole ponytail does not just come falling off of my head. This is just to secure the track. This is just secure the hair, so I'm just wrapping it around the end of my brain once I get it to my liking. I then start wrapping the hair around that piece, like so the end of the braid. I'M wrapping the hair around the end of the braid. Basically, that's all I'm doing and as I'm just wrapping it around, I'm just slowly just moving up the braid. That'S all it really is. You could go in and use like needle and thread and, like you know, as you get so far up, you start threading. You know thread through the braid to keep it in place. I didn't really want to do all that. I don't like the right needle and thread. I I'm just not really that good at like braving. I'M, like I said, I'm really not good at hair that well, so I just have to do this to the best of my ability, so I'm gon na secure it once I get all the way up to the top. So, for me, it's secured at the bottom and it's gon na be secured at the top. That'S good enough for me also using thread just makes it harder when I want to take the ponytail off, but that's that I don't want this to be like a struggle for me. I just kind of want it just to be like a quick, easy hairstyle that I can just do so, as you guys can see here, I'm literally just wrapping the hair around the braid, I'm just slowly moving up! That'S all this really is so I can't fast forward it anymore. Unfortunately, so we're just gon na sit here and wait until I get to the top okay, so we're almost here to the top. So now it's super like self-explanatory. Now, as you can literally see, I'm just wrapping the track around and around and around once I get it all the way to the end of where, like the gray hair tie, is I just want to make sure that I have that piece covered up so that You can't see that but yeah, so I'm getting really excited this point because I'm like OOP my hair's coming out cute like I couldn't see the vision it's clear. I know how is it's not to come out, so I'm almost done wrapping the ponytail wrapping the rest of the hair around the braid okay. So now I've gotten to the top of the ponytail and the best way that I could secure this ponytail was just tying a hair tie around it and then just securing the tracks. Inside of the hair tie, like I said, I'm not very good at using you tool and thread, you could have used needle and thread and it would have worked a lot better. I'M just like I said I don't do hair, so I just didn't want to complicate this any more for myself. So, after that, I went ahead and secured it again with a bobby pin just some little extra pieces that I just thought were sticking out, and I just kind of wanted to secure it again. So once I got that to work, it took me a minute, but once I got it to work. Finally, I took a piece of hair from the back of my ponytail and I just wrapped it around, covering up the tracks and the pieces of hair that were showing earlier. I said that the got to be free spray would work best for this, and this is one of those times when I would have loved to have the free spray on hand. That'S what I was have used to secure the hair, but I had to use two got to be gel, ended up having to go back in later and use some foaming spray to kind of like secure it a little bit more. But the free spray would have definitely worked for this hairstyle a lot better as long as with molding the ponytail. So this point, as you can see, I got it to work it's in place, I'm like who. Finally, it's done so now, I'm looking for my edge brush right now, I'm like look you feelin myself right here, I'm like I'm, not there yet cuz. My edges aren't laid, but I know once I lay my edges: it's going to be over. So I'm just like kind of like trying to prepare myself for that, so yeah, I'm just laying my edges right here, I'm using they got to be gel, like I said I would have usually used, got to be free spray, but I'm out and apparently beauty supply Stores are non-essential businesses, which I don't even want to go all into that because it's you know whatever, but the resupply stores are closed, so I'm just having to use what I have right now so got to be jobs just using that to lay my edges. Okay y'all, so my edges are laid at this point. I'M just like yes, like period period, I girls cute period, I'm loving it, I'm feeling myself right now. Yes, this came out honestly a lot better than what I thought it was. I'M a really feel myself right here: yeah, because my hair is so freakin cute, but anyways it came out really really good. I'M very pleased with how it looks. I'M definitely gon na. Do this look again because practice really makes perfect but yeah this video. Hopefully that was helpful. Hopefully it like doesn't look like on camera, because it's actually very cute in person and I'm kind of sad now, I'm not going anywhere, but I don't know like I don't know. I just feel a little bit better walking around my house now. My hair is, like you know, there's something done to it so um I like it a lot. I think it came out really really cute like y'all. Don'T understand like I don't do hair. Oh, I don't do I'll. Do hair like this. So the fact that I just somehow got this to come out - I don't know but um, I, like it laughs, really cute. I only used one 20-inch bundle from my hair collection and it was giving me really really good legs like a lot longer than what I thought it was gon na be honestly but um yeah. I like a lot.
