Super Defined Curly Ponytail

You, my name, is Kayla cake and welcome to my channel, so today I'm doing a video on how I got my curly ponytail and she's so cute. This is basically how I got my curls super defined yah. My hair is never like this before. Okay, let me just let me just say that okay guy seemed a thumbnail. She was looking rough before and now we here, we in there like swimwear. So this is basically how I got my curly ponytail, I'm really proud of myself. I actually came up with this on Christmas. I'M not saying I came up with the methods, but I just randomly did this like routine of products and techniques on Christmas and my ponytail came. I was so good and I was like I just I don't know. I took like techniques from other videos that I've seen even products from my curly hair haul and it didn't came out so good, so definitely check on my curly hair haul as well, and I hope you guys enjoyed this video make sure you hit that subscribe button. I just feel like you, okay, let's get into the video y'all alright, so I'm just starting off with umm co-wash hair. I just used like a regular conditioner. It don't really matter which one and usually when I do like natural styles or something I will leave a little bit of a conditioner in there. So I don't really wash it all the way out and also my hair is basically still wet. So now I'm going to detangle it alright. So now I'm brushing it up in the direction that I want to place. My ponytail, you can literally use anything I'm actually using this demo brush just because I'm gon na use it a little bit later, but you can use whatever brush. You want to brush your hair up all right. So what ponytail about right here? I'Ve noticed that when I don't smooth my hair up all the way my ponytail isn't as long so when I smooth it out really really really good. I get the most length in my ponytail and it just looks longer I like having a long plait though so I'm just taking some eco styler gel whoo, that's too much, but just taking some of that is smoothing it on the edges, I'm using the one in The what is this, the yellow and red bottle - and I use a brush like this - just to smooth my hair all right now, the Barmes about to fall off. I'M gon na use a scrunchie and just secure that in place are you do mind, is kind of tight, but not too too too too too, tight because I'll be having time for no headache. Okay, see now I just take my toothbrush and kind of just push. My baby hairs down just to see where I'm gon na put them and stuff. I don't do too many. That'S just never been my style, so we're not gon na. Do too many we're just gon na do like some nice little natural-looking ones. Now I'm just gon na take a little bit more of my gel. I hit those baby hairs. You kind of just lay them down. Also excuses burn mark on my forehead. I burned my forehead, who does that me like what is going on here? So, oh I just I can't so now, I'm gon na take my scarf and I'm a late. I'M a what I'm gon na tie down the ponytail part, I'm sorry the face seeing the baby ears. Mister all right! Now that all the like real strong work is done like I didn't gain about two pounds of muscle now it's on to the points now, so I'm gon na use this spray bar. I got stuff like Amazon and it's one of those continue with spray bottles. So like you're, not you know, like your hand, is just not hurting trying to like continuously pump on pump. This one kind of just like comes out continuously and basically you're, almost doing like a wash and go on your ponytail, okay and then I'm going to take my diamond brush and make sure everything is nice and detangled? Okay. So now I'm gon na take my pillow soft curls by Miss Jessie's and do about like this much alright more. If I need to, but this product has a lot of slip, so I don't usually you have to use a lot, even though I do have a lot of hair, but I usually just start with the little onions build it up as I need it all right. So now that we got her all up in there, I'm gon na use this by Lodge curl. Defining elixir looks like this, and this also I don't need too much, maybe like this is kind of like a styling gel. So maybe this much and this I'm also gon na work, try to get it on every strand. Basically, if you need more, you can do more, but I don't usually like to use a lot cuz. This stuff is expensive. Okay, so we're trying to make it do what they do. Okay, so here's the part where I really get micro super defined and they just it even makes my ponytail a lot bigger, because if I let it dry like this it just I don't know it won't dry correctly. So this is what I do. I basically take the ponytail and whichever piece is kind of fall down, I'm not separating them with my fingers, but whatever falls down like that's what I'm gon na do and I'm gon na shingle it so kind of take it and go like this. I'M also smoothing it at the roots because I don't know if you could tell, but it's a little frizzy at the root here, so I'm just going to kind of like comb through it with my fingernail and then I'm just going to boom shingle like that. So that's what I'm gon na do about this whole ponytail, it's kind of tedious, but it's really worth it, and I mean I'm basically just doing the same thing over my whole ponytail and if I feel like a piece really just does not have any products on It you'll be able to tell cuz you know what your hair feels like with no product on it and with products. I will just take a little bit more of the gel, like literally a little bit like literally a little bit and I'll just put it kind of on the root part because I just want to like not have too much on the end. So it's not crunchy. This gel doesn't really get my hair too crunchy, but I still be taking precautions so just taking my natural clumps and smoothing them out, not creating clumps but just taking the ones in my hair, naturally clumps up and smoothing it with my fingers and boom all right. So now it's just time to let it dry air dry. You can diffuse it if you want to, but I don't like to diffuse because I feel like it takes away from the length. So I'm just gon na let it air dry and once it's about maybe like 80 % dry, I'm gon na like just blow dry like the inside bass, part just so the bass, my ponytail isn't like soaking wet. You know what I'm saying: um but yeah, I'm gon na just let it air dry for probably about an hour so and yeah just leave it along, don't touch it, let it dry and it's like coils and then we're gon na fluff it a little bit all Right so it's basically dry, so I just let it air dry until it was about you know almost dry and then I took the blow dryer and I blowed on very low airflow in, like maybe medium heat, and I just blow-dried the middle, because I hate when, Like the middle of my hair is soaking wet it's just I don't know. I just don't like that, so I just blow-dried the middle on very low airflow, because I didn't want to create unique frizz. I want to create my own frizz or my own volume. So now I'm gon na take this oil. This is the argan oil of Morocco, extra penetrating oil guy, seen this on my channel two thousand times so I'm just gon na take a little bit in my hand, not a lot Roma sees it rub it in my hand and basically, what I'm doing is breaking The cast of the gel - it's not crunchy crunchy, but I do want it a little more fluffy. So I'm not separating the curls, I'm kind of just running my hand down it to break the UM, the cast at the gel left, and sometimes I would do like the little I break it. What this method is called I've seen it somewhere, but basically you just have my hands together. You can run my hair between my hands like this and this. Basically it doesn't disturb the curls at all and it just kind of breaks that cast it's like look at those curls back there. Oh, my goodness, they look so juicy, so you can actually pick your hair if you want to kind of like just in the roots. But honestly, I don't really think I need to like. I think my ponytail is big enough weight. That is it for my curly ponytail tutorial yah. I actually came up with this on Christmas and it was kind of like a spur. The moment thing - and I just was like. Oh my gosh like this this right here like yes, my curls came out so nice and it just looks so good like look at that definition in them curls, but anyway, so hope you guys enjoyed.
