Hey guys, Darren Murray, welcome back to my channel in a today's video. We are gon na be doing at this cute little curly, ponytail and yeah. I'M not gon na try her too much we're just gon na jump right in so, as you guys can see, my hair is already washed conditioned deep conditioned all that stuff. I blow-dried it before I even started anything and of course I used lots of different heat protectants, and things like that. I will leave them all down in the description box, all the products, everything that I use. It will be down there and then, as you guys, can see right now. What I'm doing is just pressing my hair out. I really wanted my hair to be as like. Silky as it could be, but I wasn't really trying to like super sleek if I it because at the end of the day it was just going in a ponytail anyway - and I probably am NOT gon na keep this in my head for that long. So yeah. My main focus was really just getting my roots straight. So again, as you guys can see, I am using a hot comb and I'm just really going on my roots with the hot comb and then I'm going through my hair with the flat iron and I'm gon na do like one or two passes with the flat Iron and that's literally it if I was using a like curling or like kinky curly type of hair, I probably wouldn't have gone to these lengths for my hair. I probably would have just kept my hair wet and then used like a hair gel or something and slick my hair back that way, but the curl pattern that I'm using it's curly, however, like the curls, are kind of like soft. They kind of look like how they would look if you'd use like like perm rods or like curlformers, or something like that, like they just look very silky and soft, but still like natural ish. So, that's again why I did press my hair and then I also didn't like press it like super super like bone straight sleek, whatever you want to call it. If I was using like a straighter hair texture, then I probably would have taken a little more time. Getting my hair a little bit straighter so that I didn't have as much of the texture going on but hey whatever I did. What I did for this ponytail, I'm one in a middle part, and so what I'm doing here is just parting. My hair in the middle and then I'm gon na take my style factor, edge, booster and also some hairspray, and I'm just gon na use those two products to slick my hair down and create a lowish ponytail. Looking back at this and looking at my hair now, I probably should have put my hair up a little bit higher just to let it looked a little bit better, but I still think my hair turned out awesome so yeah. So what I'm doing with the edge booster is just using that on my edges, my edges are actually very short and they're broken off. I still have them, but again they're short, so I used quite a bit of this and quite a bit the hairspray just to really make sure that those were real like flat to my head, like stuck to my head and later on. I'M gon na use a wrap strip and I'm just gon na pop that over my edges, just so that, like they don't go nowhere, they still ended up lifting later on in the day, but I just went ahead and put more register on and it was fine. After that, so yes, lots of edge, boosters lots of it, and I also really love using edge booster because it doesn't make my hair like wet and like curl back up my hair literally just stays straight so best thing ever if I were to use, got to Be glued or anything like that, my hair would instantly curl back up, so yeah just stay away from that when you're doing this kind of hairstyle, unless you want a curly, your hair, look, you know what I mean right. You now that my ponytail has been created. What I'm going to do is braid my real hair, so just kind of buried it up and then I'm going to tie it off with a rubber band and then what I'm going to do is take this curly hair that I got off the top of my Head, I don't remember the brand or anything like that, but it is on the screen. So just read it and I'm just gon na take this curly hair and begin this process. So when I started I'll be doing, is taking a rubber band and tying it on to the weft of hair. And then, after that, I'm going to take a bobby, pin and just hook that on to the rubber band thingy that I made and then we're going to do, is take that bubby pin and then pin it on to my hair. So I'm just gon na pin it into the rubber band. That is already at the end of my hair, my braid and just pop that in there and then once that's done, I'm going to start wrapping the hair around my braided ponytail. As I'm doing this, I'm also gon na put in hair pins here and there just to make sure that it's nice and secure and it doesn't go anywhere and another thing that you can do if you're doing this extended ponytail thing is, you could also use rap Strips and put those on to your braided ponytail and then glue the tracks on to that, or you could also use a needle and thread. I'Ve seen that as well on YouTube, but I'm really I'm not gon na wear this. For that long. I just needed it, for I don't know something different. I was sick of hair being in my face so yeah. This is the quick and easy way, and this way you can also reuse the hair. If you want it to this way, there's no like glue on it or like bits of random string or any weird like that. Now, wrapping the hair around this braid is literally the most painful thing ever my arms were hurting so bad. When I was doing this, I mean just ponytails are not easy, everyone thinks ponytails are so easy. They are not. They hurt my arms so much whenever I'm trying to do these - and I just I can't it's too much so I used one and a half packs. Will not packs but one and a half of these little like wefts from the package and I feel like, if maybe you should have used the full two packs. Well, two bundles, but I just didn't but yeah. I guess I wanted my ponytail to be on like the smaller side, but I feel like if it was thicker. It would look better but whatever I'll say that for another day, so after I have the bundles in my hair, I'm now going to take a little piece from the back of my ponytail and first I'm going to smooth it out with my brush and then I'm Going to spray it with my hairspray and then smooth it out again and then start wrapping that around the base of the ponytail. That way it covers the tracks and the weft, and it just gives it like a nicer polished finish after that. I'M gon na take two different products. One is a glossing serum and I'm just going to put that over the ponytail and also my real hair that way. They'Re both shiny and just look really nice and polished, and then the second product that I'm going to use is a healing oil spray and I'm just gon na spray that over my hair as well and again, that's literally just for shine and it smells really really. Nice you and then once that's done, I'm done so. I hope you guys enjoyed this quick little hair tutorial. This is like my favorite hairstyle when, like I want to be lazy and still cute, and also when I don't want to have all that weave and stuff in my face, so yeah hope you guys enjoyed this video. It'S a cute little hairstyle for this summer and you know if you did enjoy this video, then please give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe to my channel okay, I'm I'm going to be pumping out content like you've, never seen before.
