Sleek High Ponytail Tutorial || Type 4 Natural, Thick, Curly, Coily Hair

Hey you guys welcome to my channel today's video is gon na meet all about this pop and look over here coming to you guys, with baby hair sleek hair ponytail, curly hair. Today'S video is for everyone who has really really coarse, thick kinky hair, I'm coming to you with a video that is literally gon na help you out so much so I'm starting off with stretched hair. I used heat to stretch my hair, but I'm gon na make a video on how you can stretch your hair, a heatless, so you can still achieve this style. Even if you don't want to use any heat. I just got a trim. You guys, and it's been like 3 and a half years since I've gotten a trend, so I was really really feel like my hair in this video, as you can also you guys in case my voice sounds weird: I'm just getting over a cold, so bear with Me so the first thing I do is I separate my hair into two, and I do this because if I joined my hair in one ponytail, it's just my hair is too full and it'll look bumpy and I'm just never gon na get it as smooth. As I want it to be, so if your is as full as mine that I suggest that you actually separate your hair into two ponytails and then combine it into one, here's, what you're going to need you're going to need some got to be you're gon na Need some shell and your edge control and just a bunch of brushes and coins. So the first thing I use is my heart, personal brush and I just brush all around the circumference of my hair. I work with one pony at a time. First product I use is my eco styler gel, and I use this basically to just smoothen all around the circumference of my hair and just get those baby hairs to be as smooth as I can get it to be. You'Re not really trying to get your hair to sleep just yet you're, basically focusing on just making sure that your hair is smooth. So I do this for the first pony and then I repeat the same process for the one at the back. So after we're done all that, you are left with two ponytails which you're going to want to combine into one. So I just grabbed an elastic and I basically just wrap it around the two ponies. And now you have the base for your ponytail. Oh, my gosh guys this already looks so cute Wow. Look how smooth it is, but anyways guys next thing you want to do is just separate your hair into four. I do this because I just want the ponytail to lay as flat as possible, like you, don't want your ponytail to look like you know as a hump. It has to look like it's literally growing from your scalp, so I braid my hair into four and then after that I just want it, and this is so funny cuz. I look like a spider, but basically I wrap it round and round and round until I have like a nice circular bud and then I grab an elastic, and I just I guess, tie the one in place now, it's time for your edge control. I use the ebon ultra hold edge control you guys this edge control is a lifesaver. I cannot recommend it enough, go get yourselves one. I got it to my local Beauty, Supply Warehouse. So basically, what I do is I rub it in between my hands and I just smooth in my hair backwards grab some more gel smooth, not upwards as well, not backwards, my bad guys upwards. So I do all that so that I'm getting like the sleepiness like I'm getting ready to no snatch those engines sweet bone things so yeah. I do that and I brush it if you guys noticed that sometimes when you're doing your hair, there's just like a weird part next year, a bun that isn't quite smooth or sleep. So what I do is, I use my educational brush and I just put some edge control on it. I focus on that area. It'S not everything was connected, like you, don't have like straily hairs there. So next up, I grab my soft brush to make sure that everything is connected, as you can see guys like you're brushing your hair and every chance you got so here's the funny part so, like I said I want that part around my bun to be nice. So I use the back of my edge control brush and literally like push it down when I press it down. So everything looks nice and sneak. You guys need to be creative with your hair, and I literally tried this out for this video and honestly, I'm gon na keep doing that so yeah guys. This is what we have so far without the scarf guys without I forgot to record how I use my spare the basically I'm used to scars. I focus one on the front of my hair and I focus one at the back. It'S looking so cute, I'm so happy about, and now I'm gon na show you guys how I do my edges. So whatever I have a high ponytail look I like to keep my edges slightly minimal because I just feel like I spent so much time on the ponytail. You might as well focus on the ponytail like white. So basically, I'm just doing sweeps if you guys want a more detailed tutorial, I could definitely create one for you. I think the most important part that I want you guys to take from this is that I like to make sure that my head is symmetrical. So I try my best to make sure that each edge on each side of my face starts and ends the same way. It'S like the same amount of edges like cuz. It'S a whole math analytical thing here. Oh it's time for the got to you guys about to being locks, and everything for me like this is what you need when you know you're going at the beach put on some got to leave because it just locks it all it like. You just make sure it's not going anywhere. It'S like you, use it to secure your wigs, like it just secures everything we'll top it really lightly. On my edges, like I said just to make sure that it doesn't move this heat, it's not playing with you, so I put on my scarf and I set my edges in place at this point. I'M lazy so maybe 5 minutes 10 minutes. Sometimes 4 5 minute works. Just let me put you on this. Ponytail is the ish. Oh, my gosh, you guys see it the curls, it has weight clippings, it has a drawstring. It is amazing, each time that I use it. I just spray it a little and slightly wet it. As you can see, our edges are here to stay they're, not going anywhere so the side with the drawstring. The way clip with the drawstring is the back. So I just hook that part at the back of my bun and I hope to talk wit, clip at the top of my bun and I pull the drawstring tight. So after that's done, I'm just adjusting the ponytail, so I can get it as nice as I wanted to, but here's the part you guys need to focus on there's a gap that the pony actually creates with your hair. So I just grabbed a few pieces from the back and I just wrapped that around my bun and secure it with a bobby pin. So you guys now after this up, we just have one more thing. Just one more we're gon na hide that drawstring at the back and you repeating the same process, so you basically just wrap it around and you secure that with a bobby pin.
