Young desert - hey guys, it's jimmy p and welcome back to my channel before we get into this video already know, got ta go ahead and hit that subscribe button down below hit that bell button right next to it and, of course, go follow me on all my Social media at jinyp underscore so today, as you can tell we are going to be doing a braided ponytail tutorial. Okay, now listen, y'all know i am not a hairstylist, but i'm always looking for ways to do my hair by myself on the go. Really quick, really cute and affordable. Is i don't know what y'all already know i like affordable, stuff? Okay, so today this video is going to be sponsored by kara love, hair products. So i don't know y'all remember, but i did a review on care love before but they're with their maintenance kit. This time i'm doing a review on their keratin kit, so the carrots and kit is strictly for people that straighten their hair or have straight hair. So um, i just went in with their step one process, and that is just the shampoo and i just went ahead and shampooed my hair per usual and of course i already know i do have a coupon code for you guys. You can use the code jimmy15. I will put it on the screen and down in the description box down below also in the description box. It will be all of the links you possibly could need for everything in this video and everything that i use. Okay, so make sure you go check that out. Okay, so pause um. So this is the keratin lotion that i'm going into. So this is step number two, so um. Basically, this like package is strictly for, like people with straight hair or people that straighten their hair. Like frequently, i may be straightening my hair, maybe once a month i'm not really a person that straightens my head, usually not even once a month, probably like once every two to three months. I don't really straighten my hair like that, but i wanted to do a ponytail today, so i was okay um. You know i got ta straighten my hair. If i wanna, you know, lay it sleek back or whatever, but um, but this is for people that have like straight hair. Basically, so i'm just doing the directions, so it can be more clear to y'all. I have kinky hair. I don't really put that much heat to my hair. Honestly, i really just get my roots because i don't like heat to my hair. I had heat damage before so he, like you know just flat under my hair, has never been a thing for me um. I went a year one time without flat ironing my hair so and i really don't even blow dry. My hair, i usually just keep it up in this and let it air dry and then go ahead and braid my hair down and put my wig on, but because this is for straight hair. So the first step, of course, is the um. The purifying shampoo, which i know i already said so, the second and one i know i already said this, but the purifying shampoo one thing that i love about care, love shampoos. They get your hair very clean, very clean. When i'm trying to listen, i'm trying to tell y'all like it make your hair feel like squeaky clean, like baby girl. Every ounce of dirt that was on your hair would be gone if you messing with the kerala purifying shampoo, okay, so um that so this is the straightening one and i also have the other one. I think yeah. This is the moisturizing shampoo. So this is another one of their products, um more so for people with you know that you know, i think it's for like damaged hair, i'm not sure, but it's another one that i feel like would be a lot better for girls with my textured hair, such As kinky curly hair um, but for this one, specifically it's for straight hair, i think what i'm getting from this. So let me just put the directions, see how i can understand what i'm saying so the directions are after you shampoo, your hair. You know. Usually we go into shampoo and then we deep condition, then we condition all that good stuff right with this one after you shampoo your hair. They want you to dry out your hair up to a hundred percent divide your hair into four sections and start applying the keratin lotion, which is this um from the nape of the neck and work upwards through the sections one at a time always using a comb To uniformly spread product, they want you to blow dry with the help of a brush the same way as a blow dry surface. They want you to divide the hair into four sections and start from the nape of the neck flat ironing small portions of hair. At a time for five to ten times until the hair is shining, then they want you to rinse the hair with water, no shampoo to wash away all of the excess product. So the only issue with that is well. No, not the only issue. One issue with that is um baby girl. I have kinky hair, i'm not getting a comb through my hair. Well, i can but child blow dry. You want me to blow and i could not put no conditioner - that ain't gon na work. Like my hair, i just don't have the texture of hair for that so um, you know blow drying my hair, a hundred percent and then applying and trying to get the comb through it. That is just a disaster waiting to happen, um and then, on top of that they want you to divide the hair into four sections and start from the nape of the neck flat ironing small portions of hair at a time um for five to ten times until The hair is shiny, so another thing about that is, i don't usually go over my hair more than two times just because again, heat damage is just not really my thing um and i don't know so, then they after you flat iron, it they want you to Rinse, your hair with water to get rid of the excess shampoo, so basically, i'm gon na have to flat on my hair two times and just because of the type of you know, textured hair that i have. This does not work for me, but i feel like it would definitely work for somebody that has naturally straight hair. I may be wrong, but this is what i'm getting from this um, so i don't think i'm going to be using the keratin lotion um. Let me see yeah, it smells like all the rest of their products. It always smells really clean, like it always says, like you know, something has like a really clean smell it. Definitely just it just gives off this really clean smell. I wish i could use it because i really do want to see what like results it brings, but this is just not the girl for me, okay, but the shampoo. Definitely my favorite, like i'm, i'm literally not giving up on this. This is my baby like this is the shampoo that i used from here on out only because it literally gets your hair so clean, like squeaky, clean y'all like for real, so the third step will be the hair mask. So this is step number three. So with this one um, it says after your hair has been processed with keratin lotion, rinse hair with water and apply the hair mask covering from root to ends allowed to remain between 15 and 20 minutes of style as usual. So um. This i'm guessing would be the um, the the somewhat of a conditioner, basically um. So i i get you know you're supposed to go in with this, but i am going to skip this step and i'm really sorry that i can't show y'all, but your girl, you don't get girl, don't have stray hair baby. Okay, i am very curly. I have like 4c 4b 4c hair okay, so i'm going to go in with the hair mask next and we're going to speed this up. I just want to let y'all know why i was skipping step number two and going straight into step: number: three: okay, okay, so now that i'm done with my little spill, i'm gon na go ahead and with the step three, i told you. I skipped step two and i'm just go ahead in with step three and just start detangling. My hair with the hair mask this hair mask was definitely like really definitely definitely top five. You know what i mean. It was really easy to get the um comb through my hair, which is not normal girl, so i definitely do recommend the hair mask and yeah. Just you know section off my hair comb. It all the way through, as the directions stated pin it up. Put me a little plastic bag over top of my head and go ahead and deep condition for the 10 to 15 minutes as prescribed, okay, all right y'all. So this is after the 10. I think i waited like 15 to 20 minutes, because my hair is so coarse and thick and then i just went ahead and just comb through my hair and as you can see, the curls are so defined and it was just so easy to get the comb Through my hair, so i just went ahead and rinsed that out my hair and we went on to styling the hair, all right, y'all so going into styling my hair first. What i do is section it off and then i go ahead and blow dry each section, and then you know just to get it as straight as possible with the actual blow dryer and then i go ahead and with the flat iron and i start flat ironing. My hair, i only go over my hair, as i said before two times, because i don't need it to be like extremely straight, but i really do need the roots to be straight, so that the ponytail can lay really really flat. So yeah, i'm just going in with that and straightening my hair, so of course to get it even more straightened on the edges at least i always go in with the hot comb as well like getting your edges and your roots straight when you're doing a ponytail Is so necessary y'all because you do not want it to be puffy, you want the ponytail to lay as flat as possible, so i definitely recommend going in with the hot comb for your edges and your roots. I don't take it all the way down, because it's not necessary and i do not want any more heat damage. So i only do my edges and my roots and just go through my head. At least one time got ta get the beady beads girl got ta, get the bbs all right. So now i'm about to go in and style it. So i just take my rat tail comb and i take off some of my little edges. Slash baby hairs, slash adult hairs so that, when i put it in a ponytail, it'll be easier for it to just swoop and make my you know my my baby hairs. Okay, look at that! You see how like sleek, that is and like it's laying real flat yeah girl, that's exactly how you want it to be and before y'all come in my comments i know i it's not perfect, but listen, y'all, okay, i'm not a hair stylist, i'm jimmy p and Jimmy p gon na make it do it to do. Okay, all right y'all. So now i'm going to go in with my got to be glue and just go ahead and do my baby hairs um, you can use whatever edge control. You like i like to switch up my edge control honestly, but with the heat and then y'all, i need something. That'S going to hold so got to be clean. Definitely definitely make sure that my edges are like holding for at least the next two days. Okay, it does flake up after a while, so i don't use it often, but if i needed to hold specifically for like a ponytail girl, that's what i'm gon na use. Okay - and i always go in with the blow dryer, because my hair just always curls up and no matter what product i use. So if i use the blow dryer after putting the got to be glue on it holds it perfectly, so i always put the got to be glue and blow dry got to be glued blow. Dryer. Okay, the baby hairs is swooped. Okay, baby don't play with it. Stay with it, okay, so i went ahead and wrapped up my baby hair, so they can lay down even more and then we go ahead and start braiding into the ponytail. Now listen, i don't know how to teach you how to braid. I ain't even gon na cap y'all, but i don't know like i just i've always knew how to braid my hair. But you know i just go ahead and i use the rubber band method and i wrap the rubber band around the um ponytail base. And then i start braiding in my hair into the fake hair and then i do the feeding method and i just start feeding in the hair into like you know the the braid like midway down, because i want it to be really long. So feeding braids allow your braids to be like extra extra long. So that's why i did the feet in instead so um. I hope this touch on something i don't know. I hope this helped. This was just a really quick, easy hairstyle, probably took about maybe an hour if minus the wash and dry washing and drying and everything it maybe took about 45 minutes so yeah. Thank you all so much for watching this video i hope y'all enjoyed and i will see y'all in my next one. Oh you
