How To: Sleek Goddess Braided Ponytail On Short 4C Hair

Hey what is up you guys and welcome back to my channel? Yes, your girl is back with another hair video before we get into this video. I do want to say thank you. Thank you. Thank you to all my subscribers all my supporters. Anybody who's been watching. My videos, because it's coming up to a year that i've actually been on youtube and just been rocking out with this thing and it's truly been a journey, and i appreciate everybody who has tapped in and watched my video and love the content that i'm putting out There so thank you guys and thank you to all my new subscribers love you guys, but yeah, let's go ahead and get into it and as any other video. This is my first time. Okay, because i like experimenting, i like trying new things. I don't like to do the same things, so my hair is currently it was wet, but i'm gon na go ahead and wet it again. I definitely have to stretch it out a little bit. My hair is growing you guys it's growing a lot so right now. I'M going to go ahead and just spray down my hair, then add some moisturizer to it to make it soft and then add some oil and just mix it all together. Don'T laugh at me for pushing on my glasses you're doing that a lot okay, i don't usually wear my glasses. That'S why i said that you guys will rarely see me wearing my glasses. I mostly just wear my contacts um, it's super late right now and i'm getting ready to go to bed, but i needed to do my hair. That'S the only reason why i'm wearing my glasses right now. Okay, so i think what i want to do is a middle part. I chose the middle part because i really like the way. The middle part looks on me, but you can do a side part or no part at all, and also because my sides are a little bit thin. And so i wanted to be able to cover some of that up the middle to y'all. No and what i'm about to do is i'm gon na go ahead and just section off my hair little by little, so i'm making ponytails using rubber bands so i'll make a small ponytail in the back. So basically you're going to be sectioning off your hair and i actually use this technique in another video. I'M going to leave the link to that at the top of this video. I'M going to start off with this small ponytail and i'm going to do another ponytail and bring it all together. Another ponytail bring it all together, another ponytail bring it all together and that's how we're gon na do it? Okay, so if you don't fully understand make sure you check out my other video, i'm gon na use a little bit of jam, not too much. I don't like using too much gel or jam in my hair. You guys take my lip brush. Take my little rubber bands snatch this up real quick. I took two at a time: two: rubber bands. Okay, you take one just know: it's gon na break: okay, okay, just that little one was a lot of work. We'Re gon na go ahead and section off some more hair and bring it down to that same ponytail. Bring it all down together. Just makes it easier to make sure that your ponytail is flat. Your hair is sleek, so if your hair is like mine as far as texture and length, you want to make sure you definitely do this, because if you don't - and you just try to bring all your hair together at once in a ponytail, it's not going to Happen, i'm telling you it's not going to happen. It'S not going to be flat, it's not going to lay, but doing it. This way is going to ensure that it does lay down and, like i said before, i don't like using a lot of jam or gel on my hair, so it may look like i'm not using much at all, but as i get to the top, you guys Will see that i'm using more and more holy this middle, maybe some extra oil, some normal, your hair. You need an extra love: okay, okay, a little bit more if i'm getting more here all right! So now it's time to finish off the last section of my hair, but first i need to make sure that this part is straight now for the top part of my hair. I'M only going to do one side at a time, so i'm not going to try to bring them both both sides down to the ponytail. I'M only going to do one side bring one side down to the ponytail in the back and then i'm gon na go ahead and do the other side as well, and then for the top. You guys i'm using my eco style gel and i'm using my gem as well. Now the top part of my hair was the most difficult to do one, because it's not that long and two, because it's not that it's not all the way stretched out. It'S not all the way stretched out, but i didn't want to blow dry. My hair, i didn't want to put no heat on my hair, didn't want to straighten it. None of that so i just had to brush down my hair and just get it as flat as i could for any areas that weren't laying down. I just went in and added bobby pins now, it's time to focus on my edges. Well, i'm mostly focused on my sideburns, i'm not going to swoop any edges, i'm just going to swoop my sideburns and that's it. I'M gon na go ahead and put my scarf on now that i am pretty much done. I want my hair to lay down flat. All right so now that i got my scarf on i'm going to go ahead and sleep on it and then in the morning i'm going to come back to see how it looks and go ahead and finish off this video. So i can give you all the final look. Now. I'Ve only had about three to four hours of sleep, meaning that i've only let my hair dry for for about three to four hours, and i've only had the scarf on for about three to four hours. I had to be up to catch a flight the next morning, and so i needed to make sure i had to finish off this video for y'all now here i have my braiding hair and i am using the calkaline braiding hair and you guys can see that Some of the hair is wavy and that's because some of it was braided to give it because my hair isn't straightened and i wanted to match and resemble my hair as much as possible. And now i am leaving out just a small piece of hair, because that piece of hair is what i'm going to be using to wrap around my braid. And now i'm having to section off three pieces of hair as well. Because i need three pieces to be able to braid now i'm taking my curly hair, and these will be the pieces that i will be adding into the braid as well as what will be at the end of my braid. And so i took the hair and i cut it in half because i didn't need it to be super long, and so i wanted short pieces to be added into the braid, and i believe this is the free stress and the water wave curl type that i Am using, and so you guys can see that i'm just adding the hair as i braid down now as i get closer to the bottom of the braid, i'm going to make sure that i add more of the curly hair pieces and i'm just going to continue To braid down once i'm done with that, i'm going to add a rubber band to the bottom, just to keep it all in place. And then i'm also going to take some more of the curly hair pieces, because i want to make sure that it is as thick as possible and that it just all matches - and just i don't know you can you can add as many curly hair pieces as You want um, it's all up to you, you don't have to if you don't want to, but i decided to add more because i wanted it to be a little bit more thicker at the bottom, and so that's exactly what i did, and so i just took The hair and added in using a rubber band that was already attached to the hair at the bottom. Now it's time to go ahead and attach the braid to my hair, using the binder that was attached to it and now that that's attached i'm going to go ahead and wrap around the piece that was left out. I am then going to add some got to be glue hairspray to the piece as i'm wrapping it around just to make sure that it stays intact and that it doesn't come loose. Then i'm going to go ahead and add some bobby pins to the ponytail to make sure that it is secured, because i do not want my ponytail to come out at all once that was done now, i'm going to go ahead and fix up my edges once Again, just to make sure that it is laying down flat, it is how i want it to be i'm going to go ahead and fix up my sideburns and swoop them up again, and this was the final step to the final look.
