Low Sleek Ponytail: How To Slick Down Thick Curly Natural Hair

Finally, here's my video on how I achieved my low sleek ponytail. Xoxo

Hey guys, if you want to see how I got this really sleek ponytail, then go ahead and keep on watching I'll, be using the curls cream, peel a whipped, curl cream as a leave-in and as you can see, I separated my hair into two parts. Just so that it's easier to work with so my hair was damp, but I want it to be wet, so I'm spritzing it with water and then adding the product and this product. I actually really like it. It smells like frosting or something it smells so good, and it makes my hair soft it's not extremely thick of a product but um. It does make my hair soft defined and easy to work with, for the first time I'll be using the curls blueberry blitz, curl control jelly, and this had a really lightweight consistency. It smelled just like blueberries, and it gave me a pretty good definition. The only thing I would recommend is to do this on extremely wet hair and to do it in smaller sections, because this back section it didn't feel as moisturized until it actually dried and then also it did get a little bit tangled. So that would be my only recommendation other than that it did um give me you know the definition for my curls, so I just brushed that back part into a ponytail. It was super easy and um yeah, I'm just going to work on the top half making sure to completely soaked it in water, so that I don't have the same problem as I did with the back section of my hair and then I'll be using the curls Whipped curl cream. On my hair, like I said, it's a really lightweight product um, but it does give you super good definition and makes your hair soft and smell really good. So you can pick both of these curls products up from Target now, this time around using the blueberry bliss jelly. It actually worked really well on the top half of my hair and I'm pretty sure it's because my top half was really wet and it was smaller sections. So I will be trying this product out again for a wash and go just so I can really see whether or not it works for me. I forgot to show you, but I did add a layer of jojoba oil onto my hair on the back and the top just so that you know I can seal in my moisture and I'm loving, jojoba oil right now. So after that, I take my ponytail out and I quickly spritz my hair with water, and I do this really fast, because I don't want my hair to curl up, especially in the middle. So after I do that, I gather my hair into a into like a ponytail, as if I'm going to put it into a ponytail, and I start to lay it down with my brush, also just to tame the middle of my hair. Since that's the part that likes likes to thicken up, I just went in with my wide tooth comb and like combed it out combed, all the kinks out, so that it laid nice and flat. Now this ecostyler gel is a reason. I'M able to lay my hair down and get it super sleek. I use eco salad for all of my sleek Styles and to lay my edges and stuff, I'm just going to pretty much add globs of this all over my hair, so that it can lay down. Eco styler has a hard heavy type of hold like it weighs down your hair, which is a really good for this type of look so yet just apply that all over your hair and then after that, you guys will just see me pretty much brush it. With my hard bristle brush, um fix my baby hairs and that's it. I also wanted to point out that usually I would just probably use like a leave-in and the eco styler gel, but I really wanted to try that curls Joey, but you can moisturize your hair. However, you want, you can just use gel and oil a leave-in and gel. It'S all up to you now, of course, I had to leave out a little bit of baby hairs. You don't have to go overboard with the style, just something really simple, and after that you are just going to smooth your hair into a tight ponytail um, and it was really easy to get my hair in a ponytail. My hair laid it really flat. But of course, that last little loop - oh my gosh, like it, was a struggle now this was my first time doing it, but I did apply a bandana on to my hair for like five to ten minutes, just so that it could really make my hair super Sleek - and these are happy final results - you guys my hair is super slick like it's never been the slick bird ponytail, I'm pretty sure working in two different sections, looking down the bottom first and then working with the top really just helped. My hair lay really nice and flat in the back and that eco styler just laid my hair so good. My ponytail is a really curly umm and after my hair dried you guys, it did not have a hard hold at all. So I don't know what mixture of products like what product made it soft but yeah. I had a really soft hold once my hair was completely dry but yeah you guys. This is how I got my sleek ponytail. I was so in love with it and if you tie it up at night, it will last a good few days, so go ahead. Alight, comment, share and subscribe. If you enjoyed this tutorial and I'll see you guys in my next video bye,

Lovely video :-) I have a question My hair is lately breaking off, i dont know what the hell is happening, and i have a feeling its cause i've "overused" coconut oil, i have low porosity, and my hair isnt the thickest/ type 3C, every time i use heavy or thick products my hair hates it, it takes long time before it sinks into my hair and i just feel like im shedding loads of hair, but when i use thin products it works better. so now im trying to see if the coconut oil is the problem, im going one month without, and the problem is that all my hair products has coconut innit :( do u have any suggestion of good lightweight styler/butter, shampoo and conditioner with no coconut oil?
