Rihanna Inspired Swoop Ponytail> Malaysian Straight Hair

Hey curlfriends and welcome back In today's video we're recreating Rihanna's 2014 look for the Amfar Gala in Hollywood.. She had this really nice swoop, bang sleek ponytail to the back.. The ponytail was wrapped around itself towards the back. Today, I'm using the Beauty Forever Hair.. This is their Malaysian hair.. I have in an entire unit.. I created a wig with their hair.. This is a 14'' closure with 3 bundles of 16, 18 and 20''. Let'S get started., So I went ahead and applied my wig., I put a small wig cap. Underneath. Im going to go ahead and create the side part.. This side part is going to be a curved side part because I wanted to give that nice swooped effect for the bang in the front.. As far as the bang I'm going to go ahead and just comb all of the hair forward., I'm going to direct it forward to start applying our heat protectant., I'm using this Macadamia heat protectant spray.. I just sprayed a little bit on there.. I'M just going to go ahead and pass the flat iron on my hair just a few times to make sure that it's super straight.. It doesn't have to be bone straight.. But you want your hair to be nice and as flat as possible, so that when you go in with your mousse or styler of choice, it will lay the hair down nice and flat. Be sure to focus on the ends of the hair as they need to Be as straight as possible for that ponytail., I'm just running through really quickly, just some really fast passes.. I just want to make sure that the hair is nice and straight., Like I said, not bone straight, but silky straight., I'm just going in with my soft bristle brush to lay the hairs in place.. The flat iron helps to separate the hairs along that parting so that it lays nice and flat. I'm able to mold and shape my hair. How I want it to be without a lot of fly, aways getting in my way., I'm using this Dollar Store Salon. Selectives Anti Frizz Curl Sculpting, mousse ya'll.. It was literally $ 1.. You don't need anything super expensive.. I am sharing with you guys some really affordable, tutorials lately.. I went ahead and just put a little bit along the hairline just to lay down all of that hair. Nice and flat. - I just pulled out a little bit of hair right above the ears and I'm just going to use my eyebrow archer to go ahead and shave down this hair. Just a tad bit.. I wanted to thin out those strands because they need to look just like the sideburns that Rihanna had on the red carpet., I'm going back in with my foaming mousse to flay down the hairs of course., I'm laying everything down nice and flat, starting from where my Part is and working my way, down., You don't want to add too much mousse to cause any kind of crunch or buildup on it, but you do want the hair to lay down nice and sleek.. I just tucked the swoop bang right behind my ears really loosely, because I wanted to have some nice give in the front a nice loose swoop in the front., I'm just using this soft bristle brush to make sure that everything is nice and flat and into this Low ponytail in the nape. Grabbing a Goody hair elastic, I'm just putting this into a really low ponytail right in the middle of the nape and following up with even more mousse you guys.. I wanted this to be nice and sleek exactly how Rihanna had it. Her hair was laid ya'll.. If it's your first time doing a bang swoop ponytail., You might want to redo it a couple of times until you get it perfected so that you don't have any loose hairs., I'm just going back in to shorten out these side burns to make them a lot More shorter and thinner., I'm pretty much just angling, my razor at a small little angle, so that I'm not cutting directly into the hair.. I want to shave it down really lightly.. I just went in with some Eco Styler gel for my edges to lay down the edges that are showing.. Here is my ponytail.. I took out a small little piece from the left side and I'm just wrapping it around the Goody hair elastic and pinning that strand into place.. That'S pretty much it. This look is super sleek and classy, and it doesn't really call for much product.. I hope you guys enjoyed the look.. Let me know in the comments below: did we slay it or nah.?
