Joints now is going us along with dermatologist dr. Sonia Batra, and thank you both for being, and I know this is not something that's easy for you to share with everyone, and I know even being here on stage is difficult, but if I were to ask you To remove your wig is that something you would be comfortable doing yep. I got comfortable with it minutes ago and I want to ask you how it feels for you to bear this to the world. Well, definitely, I'm making it known broader than it's ever been before, but I know it's something that needs to be done and that's why I'm gon na, let you take it away cuz. I know you went through a lot with what gon na sling for some answers. I know it's been such a frustrating and difficult process, but I do have some really interesting and good news, because I know it was very confusing as to what was going on and while you had been told you have the scarring process where the hair does not Grow back actually, the biopsies. I did really showed the non scarring more temporary treatable process, which is alopecia areata and the thing about alopecia areata is it's more of an autoimmune condition. So, for reasons we don't really understand, your immune system is recognizing your own hair follicles, and so that's why you're getting these round patches, where the hair just seems to be falling out and is missing, but there's not really under the microscope or in person. True scarring, where the follicles have been destroyed or lost, which is actually a tremendous source of hope. So what are what are the next steps for Glynnis, so the next steps are to calm down the inflammation so under the microscope. What you see is this almost like a swarm of bees for you of all these inflammatory cells that are attacking these follicles and causing them to fall out. So all of things that we go from here are either products. You apply to the scalp to dispel the inflammation less you've tried, but could continue in a really consistent way, the injections of steroids, which also help to disperse that inflammation, but need to be done at regular intervals, every four to six weeks so that, as the inflammation Comes down and the hair starts to recover, it has a chance. It doesn't just fall out again so really consistent, follow up with that and then really excitingly there's some new oral medications that have a lot of promise with alopecia areata and have been in the clinical studies and are coming out. So, there's a lot of hope and a lot of research in this area. Thank you. That'S good, to hear against, there's definitely some hope there and I think your case highlights a lot of frustrations that people can have out there. You may have one or two opinions. If you're still confused, it is okay to get in another opinion. Dr. bachi has provided you with that in some answers, but now it's time to help you get that hair back. So we have a surprise for you. We'Ve been dr. Peter Maloof from Dermatology Associates of DFW heard. Your story wants to help. He wants to meet you in person for a consultation he's going to develop a plan, start giving you monthly injection treatments free of charge for the next year. You'Ve been looking for, and he feels strongly that by doing this it will help halt the hair loss, but you also will have it start to grow back and dr. Batra. I know that you're excited and you feel like there is really a time to be hopeful for here absolutely yeah and - and I think I know as a mom one of your biggest concerns. We'Ve all seen this bond between you and your daughter was whether or not this is something that she would actually inherit and have to deal with, and so one of the other really nice hopeful things about Ella peach areata is that while there is a genetic component And I know your dad had an experience with it in the past. It'S it's really a number of factors, so there's no certainty that she would even expect this. I would want her to follow her thyroid just because that is more familial and something that we watch for, but on the bright side, it's a much more hopeful prognosis for her as well. I'M so glad to hear that good news, and I'm very hopeful for you that will definitely reduce my stress level, okay and we're so happy. You could come here and share your story. Thank you for bravely doing that. Midori. Thank you as well. You

Monstera Nichole: Hair doesn't define you. She's still absolutely beautiful.

Lois Gordon: The removal of the wig was not necessary it was shaming her they could have done pictures and not have her removing the wig

Esther Jamack: Kudos to this woman for being so brave so that others can get hope.

Sheridan Ruth: Even for health professionals and the scientific community, this type of approach is very necessary. Being human, asking about feelings and about people's journeys is very valuable. Thank you so much for sharing this type of content, because I know many people that suffer from this disease seek for knowledge and community in this platform.

Leila LaughsAlot: I just want to hug her she's so lovely ❤

Cassi Currie: This is a beautiful woman. Someone dear to me went through this as a preteen. It doesn’t matter your age, this is a social challenge. Awesome to know something will work for her.

Mariah Hall: Sending love and prayers for her to recover! God bless her! ❤️

MinaCookie: I don't know why but her face is adorable

Valerie Zushin: Love how these doctors offer free treatment for only the people who go on the show. So many are suffering like this , me included and I can’t afford treatment.

Dinah Anorh: I suffer from this every year now, and this year I decided to not cutoff my hair totally. I can understand how she feels

True Grit: My heart goes out to this lady. I had alopecia, only my hair fell out sporadically in circles the size of a silver dollar. It was horrible. There are products like Ookisa and Keranique that have a scalp spray to be used with a shampoo/conditioner that work pretty well in getting your hair back. You can also use a topical steroid, but you don't want to take that long term. My alopecia stuck around on and off for about 7 years. It thankfully, seems to have gone away completely. BTW, its pretty suck for that 'doctor' to publicly shame her.

SnoohB: Y’all are TRASH for having her take her wig off . Blessings to this beautiful lady!

BetterThanEmril: I’m 25 and have actually been having this problem since I was 16. There was just this area on my head that was thin and my parents even accused me of cutting my hair when I never did. It’s not so very noticeable unless you really look at the scalp but I’m worried it could get worse as I get older

Cynthia Ellis: She is a lovely lady. I wish her the best.

Ketki Acharya: This is probably the symptom of 'Alopecia', which is usually caused due to high levels of stress leading to constant circular bald patches. That's why ppl need to relax for a few mins each day taking out time for their own inner peace. Hope she gets well soon. God bless her

Felicia Nelson Davis: This is so amazing ! I'm happy for her , but I wish I could be as lucky. I've been through over 18 surgeries, on my body and 1 year ago I had a spinal stimulator implanted. Now my hair is falling out in the top and I've never different from allopecia or anything like that I have always had a good head of hair . I'm devastated and my hair I treasure as well as my body! I need help but until then I will seek ways to stimulate growth the best I can . Thanks for sharing the story!

Kaitlyn Broome: I'm so appy for her that she's getting treatment for hair loss and it's good that she came to the public to get help because after all that waiting for a cure she finally got won so I'm happy for her and i wish her the best of luck

Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation: Wow! What a great way to create more awareness for alopecia!

Red Tip Tattoos: That happened to me when i was a teen, I got a haircut and got a pimple in the back of my head. That turned into a bald spot then it kept growing evenly. It was a bacteria i got because barber used dirty tools. It took 2 years for my hair to grow back, that happened back in 1997, is 2021 and still haven’t seen a barber since then. Learned to cut my hair myself.

serious: She still such a pretty lady even without the wig... I hate that we feel like our beauty is tied to our hair, but even I have that problem

carol newlands: She's a gorgeous woman...I struggled with Alopecia for years!!! 25 years of $$$,doctors products...use minoxidal BUT!!!a holistic diet and mediataion..and natural products..I have a full head of hair..I even used experimental drugs in the past that are now legal..NOTHING was covered by insurance...no one knows how devastating it can be..I was 17 when it started..now at 65..I have a ton of hair...she can too!!!

Miss Jabeen: As an alopaecia areatta patient myself, I find her so courageous to have removed her wig on tv

C K: I got small patches of those before when I was a stock broker. It can be caused by high level of stress. That’s why live happy and simple to be beautiful.

Ashley Humphrey: I have candida which causes leaky gut and I believe it caused alepica areata. It's a gut issue. What you put into your body is soo sooo soooo important.

Justin Cox: Hey, shes got better hair than me! Still looks beautiful. I just recently came down with this this year and I am rapidly loosing hair on face and scalp

Amanda Carr: This lady is so pretty and beautiful hope her hair has grown back to restore her personal confidence though, Pray God blesses her immensely x10 fold ❤

clear as water: There are so many black women going bald with alopecia it's an epidemic. Just noticed it like the past 8 year's.

Sheryl Smith: I wish you can do a full segment on hair loss and alopecia. It's is very hard women off color.

Jen-LNicole: Very late to this video, but i disliked them validating all they did and what she's going threw by extending that suggestion/question if she "feels brave/ok enough to remove her wig" Pictures say 1,000 words. Her courage however, was speechless and yes she is gorgeous with or without! Such high standards held and placed on hair for both females and males.

Tanya: Any updates on the year after treatment ?

Radiant Robin: Beautiful lady. Glad that she has a?solution now.

Love Infinity: Beautiful woman! Brave!

Smol Melon: Forget the hair! Gurl you are beautiful even without hair!!

Mica 1990: I thank this lady she is saving hundreds of women...

_sadgirl_: smh why did they ask her to remove the wig when she's clearly uncomfortable

Eva Diva: Not happy with you DOCTORS! The slides were enough! No need to have her do something that was clearly extremely uncomfortable for this beautiful lady

Henry Kapono: That was cruel. You guys seem so heartless while she was feeling shame. Think about people feelings next time.

Ev B: She’s beautiful with hair or without I hope she doing great . They kinda disrespected her asking her to take off her wig but that’s just my opinion

Stephano X: “I know your hair gives you crippling social anxiety... so can you take off your wig and expose your balding head to the world”

Shelby Burdette: She’s beautiful either way love her smile

Valerie Williams: Amen!!!To This!! Teaching!!! And by a young!!! Person!!!….. Which make it a whole lot better for young people to relate I now know hsv 1&2 can be cured permanently thank you Dr Oseghale Sunday Herbal Home

psjuxuen: Shes so beautiful!! That is a real woman... Thank you.

Dixlexxik: I have the same thing ... i had a spot in my beard for almost 2 years and on my head aswell but it all came back .. i got a couple of health problem and everything is all cause of auto imune

P Lecky: Luckily she doesn't have the Cicatricial /scarring Alopecia. That's never seems to get addressed.

hotties3v3n: Beautiful mother and daughter! Those features are so beautiful they could rock a bald head with no problems!!stunning.

amie a: Mother and daughter are so beautiful!

Nutan online study: She looks so beautiful in that wig. She slays that wig.

Jaya Lakshmi: I also suffering from alopecia it is really scary

Mother Of All Messes♊️: What does it mean when it feels like an headeach but just particularly in the area the hair has thin ?

Cherrie Holder: Shame on y’all for having her remove her wig! Same results could have happened without putting that shame pressure on her

Mendy Peters: where can I watch full episodes of the doctors?

Mesa3077Boogie: Wish this was the case for my hair loss

USA234: Take probiotics(MUST have) and b vitamins, iron and other vitamins. Do also hair mask with green tea infuse oil or dry mint infused oil(dry gun powder green tea infused on avacado oil or any other high quality oil for about a week). Apply oil on scalp and leave overnight.(do 3 times a week). It worked on my dogs, so it works!

Riley Tavares: I have the same problem, same spot and it feels like a burning sensation and I’m losing a lot of hair my hair is my power I do not want to cut it

deshaloveable: It was absolutely no reason for him to ask her to remove her wig, smh

Chmoca Cole: Very brave lady, but I believe you have to start from the inside out! Turmeric, eating clean ect. and reducing stress.

Ikarus Miller: its very scary being a women and having early hair loss.

monay monay: Shes really beautiful her daughter looks just like her like looking into a mirror. I get why they asked her to remove her wig to show that wearing a wig isnt about wanting to be white or look white but that you have some condition with your hair. I have short hair it stop growing and i been wearing wigs and didnt know the top of my head all the hair has fallen out im worried because i want braids but i dont know if they will be able to or if the braid will fall out. I also know the hair falling out is because im extremly stressed out

Rose Laure: I always waiting for a miracle to see my hair growth because I'm tired to wear a wig all my life

Pardeep Chopra: I will follow all you said . I want to share my personal experience here. A friend of mine told me about products of PLANET AYURVEDA and their amazing results and i tried it also . Results really amazed me. THANKS TO THE TEAM

extrememelonspillage yesyesyesyes: I feel this ladies pain all I can ssy to other women's experience this is to go Jesus he can heal anything

greg: Apart from hair follicle killing procedures like chemically induced straightening, corn rows, ponytails and anything that physically stresses hair follicles, how many black women might have prevented or even have reversed hair loss if in addition to having their scalp evaluated by a dermatologist, they also had their inner chemistry evaluated by an endocrinologist? Estrogen, testosterone, DHT, cortisol, progesterone, iron levels and a complete thyroid exam could reveal long standing imbalances that could cause male (androgenic) and/or other hair loss drivers. Reversing hair loss, possibly for good, may take as little as safely tweaking hormone levels and/or using prescribed oral and/or topical drugs like Dutasteride, minoxidil and betamethasone, prepared by an accredited compounding pharmacy. Furthermore, throughout 2019, one could search [ 2020 hair loss ], and find deep science hair regrowth solutions virtually on the cusp of clinical trials from UCLA, U. Texas, Columbia U. in NY, Manchester U in the UK, and at least two med schools in Japan. In fact, Dr. Angela Christiano from Columbia Univ and Dr. Raul Paus's Manchester Univ study showed that the hair follicle growth (anagen) cycle can be prolonged when follicle odor receptors sense the presence of the sandlewood synthetic Sandalore. And Japan’s Shiseido has leased Canada’s Replicel’s cost-effective stem cell-based procedure to literally command the scalp to produce new follicles to replace dead ones. But why haven't any of these discoveries been even half way through the human trial phases by now? In a market driven economy, the best way to realize acceptance and mass production of a new product is for its developers to perceive a strong, quantified and sustained demand for it. Talk shows are nice but talk is cheap, and after decades of it how much has it really helped? Therefore, with their tremendous purchasing power, black women and all people need to DIRECTLY approach these biotech companies and medical schools with their expectations and their dollars. Why should people suffer lifetimes of indignity and self-loathing from hair loss when we can be the leading impetus for fast tracking genuine cures for all types of hair loss? Make THE END OF HAIR LOSS & REGENERATION HAPPEN IN 2021!

music music: simply they still don't know why it is happening and there is no cure!

Miranda Frost: What causes the auto immune diseases and can u treat the disease or tell us what causes them?

Me: PLEASE BRING MORE AWARENESS TO HAIR LOSS AND WOMEN’S HAIR LOSS. PLEASE. I GET THIS IS A BUSINESS BUT PLEASE ALLOW BETTER OPTIONS.

L Woods: Why have her to remove her wig on national television? Why not....shown pictures of her condition? How embarrassing!

Grab Myass: she's so attractive long hair or short

mica onyx: Too bad the good doctor didn't tell her to STOP putting the toxic chemicals also known as a perm on her hair. Maybe they should have checked her for parasites, or virus, vitamin and mineral deficiency and on and on. Our bodies don't just decide one day it's going to try to kill us. A autoimmune disease although common these days if definitely NOT normal.

Brandon Sanchez: She should have tried the carnivore diet, it’s a great way to lower inflammation

Erman ccc: One of the best cures for alopecia areata is garlic, slice it in half scratch the spot of alopecia a bit to get it a little bleeding, then you slice the garlic in half and grease it on the alopecia spot, i had my hair back after 3 months, 4 years ago i had alopecia and now i have it again just used the same cure again.

samira sadiq: Her daughter is sooo pretty!

Miss MLB: She is as lovely woman!!

USA234: Guys and gals BE your OWN investigators! Unfortunately high education is not a sign of knowledge!

Carolina Leaman: The black hair industry is a billions and billions of dollar industry. These hairdressers know what causes common alopecia in black hair. Its the reactions to chemicals, pulling, twisting, dying. I have seen little girls have their hair pulled so tight in beads that they even wear them all night in bed. My son is a hairdresser and he says that every single hair has a bulblet and once its damaged it can die. I don't believe that every black lady I see with wide parts and hair loss share a genetic component. Its the industry. This problem isn't seen in Africa unless the same hair styles are invoked.

Blair Rix: you look amazing and beautiful which ever way you want to look. Just wanted you to know.

Brenda Harvey: Those shots hurt for weeks then it's time for the next shot.

Routinnee: 0:40 I promise I’m not an asshole but that guy is very funny

K. Rich: Why they have that lady take off her wig??? cmon now, she's clearly emotional, seems like they sprung it on her last minute. They wrong for that

Carina Aysha: ARGAN Rain product arrived exactly as advertised and I have to say that this seller is very very motivated and wants to do well. This gives me more confidence in knowing he takes care in what he does. The hair color is good, the product is good,

JJ Neilan: I knew right away when I saw the title that it was alopecia areata

Noname Noname: All these lady doctors are really cute.

Totoy Bato: All the explanation but there's no cure it's just that

Officialxx.Jordyn: I should not be talking about how I hate mair because it’s short

Vengeful Goddess: Stop putting chemical's in your hair
