Hi, I'm Quantico sparks owner of new expression, salon and spa, and today's segment will be layered hairstyles for african-american women, so step one is going to be a consultation with my client to determine what kind of layers she would like today. If we're going to do short layers or long layers and also to determine if we will be doing some framing around her face, step, number two is going to be sectioning off the hair. This is going to allow me to help with keeping the length in the very bottom of her hair and around her face so that I can have the layers in the top part of her hair so that she can maintain the length and still see the layers. So that they can be very defined, our third step is going to be actually cutting and holding our hair in the right position so that she can receive the layers in the way and and then the areas of the head that she would like. We also during this time, we'll do some texturizing and a little bit of point cutting just to make sure that we can get the achieved. Look so that it flows nice and natural.
