How To Put Your Wig In A Ponytail!

Hey guys, it is Laura, and today I'm going to be showing you guys how I got my way into a ponytail. So a lot of the time. It'S a myth that, oh, you can't put your ring into a ponytail, but you definitely can and I'm going to show you how today so um. This is how it will look in the end. I'M just going to take it down right now and show you how how I accomplish this, so I just have my um wig in a or my natural hair in a wig liner cap underneath and that helps hold the way into place, um yeah. So here's kind of crazy right now um just brush it out, alright. So what you're going to do this is optional, but it's definitely a help. If you have a chin strap, which is basically a little thing, you can use to help style your wig and it just helps hold it into place. So I'm going to use that today you just clip it on the edges of your hair and it just goes under your chin and then helps keep the wig in place as you style it. So it looks a little goofy, but it's a very helpful alright. So, first, what I'm going to do is. I definitely recommend, if you're, going to pull your way back, that you're to make it look. Natural is always have layered pieces in the front. I had these cut in because this piece was all one length which definitely wasn't going to work for me, because if I need to poke back yeah, I need to have some something to frame my face to have it look natural. So first I'm going to pick one I'm going to leave out and then pull out the hair around around that all right bring that back and then on this side, I'm going to choose what I want to leave out so leave out these front layers here and Then swoop the rest back, so just keep kind of brushing back the hair that you're gon na bring back go to this side, swish it back um. Excuse me putting your wig in a ponytail definitely takes more time and effort than just throwing your own hair up, but it's definitely worth it in the end, I am a nursing student, and so I will be having to go into hospitals to do clinicals and they Require that you pull your hair back, if it's you know long, and so at first I freaked out, I was like oh my gosh. How am I gon na? How am I gon na pull my wig back because I'd never really had luck, putting my wig in a ponytail so um, sorry that was my phone. If you heard that um, so you just keep so this is really great to find out that you actually can so just keep sweeping it back until I get to the bottom, then I take all of that hair and I just bring it up to meet my Ponytail, okay, this this part takes a little work to get it to look right. Just keep keep trying so just to bring the whole ponytail up unless you want to just do a low ponytail, but you certainly can but to do like a mid midway. Ponytail just bring that hair up to meet it. You can adjust it later, just keep bringing that up, just keep slipping it up and up until you get at the place, you want your ponytail um and then just look at the front, see what you need to keep sweeping back. You know whatever and then even if it doesn't look perfect tie your ponytail off and you want to tie it quite snugly right. Alright, pull it down in the back. If it slipped up a little bit and then I'm going to grab a hand mirror and I'm going to check what it looks like in the back, alright looks pretty good. It looks a little bit puffy, which just is something you're going to have to deal with. So what I could, what you do can do is take a clip and just kind of clip back there to kind of help hold some of that hair down um. So it's not bad. Just like this. Let me set this ridiculous chinstrap off, but it's not horrible. How it is it's a little bit you can see here at the edges a little bit. Look so still a little bit Wiggy, but, like you, could you could get away with it, but just to make even more natural. Take a headband like I have just like a sports headband here. If you're wanting for a more dressy look, you can go for a more dressy headband, but like for nursing. This would be typically what I would wear bring it up around your hair that covers if the wig shows it all at the bottom, though, the back excuse me that covers any of that alright and yeah. That, basically, is how we check the back. How I put my wig into a ponytail, it is possible to happen to do that. Um and it looks natural and also it's very great - to be able to put your hair up if you're going on a hike, get it off your. You know. If you're going to be more active, get it off your your neck and it feels great it feels natural. My wig feels very secure. If you have a good fit for a wig, it's not going to slip off. I you know, I feel very confident. You know swinging my head around. It doesn't feel like that heaviness back there is going to pull it off, because this is a very well fitted, wig, um, so yeah. This is how I put my wig into a ponytail. It will look like I'm not looking at the camera because I'm having to look at myself to do my hair, so I apologize for that.
