Oh okay, so we are about to take this old crusty dry musty, headband wig! I got from amazon about a year ago and bring this thing back to life. Okay, just look at this. I didn't bring it down. Okay, anytime! I needed to run to the store. Didn'T feel like doing my hair in between hairstyles or just yeah. Look at this look at the nape area. It'S just so matted and nappy, but don't worry, we're gon na hook it i'm going to be using the avanti silicone mix. It'S the bamboo extract and vitamin enriched um, it's for brittle and dull hair. This hair is definitely brittle and dull. I have the shampoo and the conditioner first thing: we're going to do is fill up our sink with lukewarm water and then we're going to fully submerge the wig from the ends. All the way up to the cap make sure all of it gets in there and gets nice and wet. As you can see, it's pretty dirty and look how stiff it is y'all, it's so stiff, but yeah. This is a bunch of dirt product build up as well as some of the dye coming off of the wig. This is about my third or fourth time, washing it um. It was a good purchase. It is good hair, but the process that they use you can tell that they definitely dyed it, and most of that dye is coming off with the wash. So i'm just taking the shampoo i'm putting it all over and i'm just running my hands up and down the hair. Do not try to finger comb it with the shampoo on it or anything like that, because you will start pulling some of the hairs out, which is not good for any wig make sure you also get the inside of the cap, because that's where your hair, sweat Grease dandruff gets in and you want to just make sure the whole wig is clean. There'S no point in washing the hair with a dirty cat. So again i'm running my hands up and down just to get it good and clean and now to rinse it. I'M going to fill this sink up again with lukewarm water and i'm just going to dip the hair in and out to get that soap off. As you can see, it's still pretty dirty here, i'm just squeezing out all the excess water and when you squeeze it out, you want to make sure you start at the cap and squeeze pretty tightly, because that cap can hold a lot of water now. For a second rinse, i'm going to fill up the sink with warm water again, just to make sure i got all of that initial shampoo and dirt out before i do a second wash now for the second wash i'm going to fill up the sink with lukewarm Water and i'm going to add the shampoo directly into the water, i'm going to submerge the wig right in that water and i'm just going to let that sit for about two to three minutes. Now we are going to rinse all of the shampoo out. Usually, i just run it under the water until the water runs completely clear, free of suds and free of dirt or any coloring at all. But for the sake of this video, i want y'all to see how the water is supposed to look. So i'm doing it. This way, as you can see, there's not a lot of suds, but some of that dye is still coming off, but the water other than that it's pretty clean. Now i'm going to take a big lap of this conditioner and add it right into some warm water. Swish it around in there make sure it's nice and diluted and then i'm going to submerge the wig completely covered with this conditioner water and i'm going to let this sit for 20 minutes. So 20 minutes is over and, as you can see, the hair is not as stiff as it was when we were washing it. It has nice slip. I'M going to add a little bit more of this conditioner to my problem areas, which is that matted nape of the neck before i start trying to detangle it i'll put that on there really heavily, because i don't want it to be hard to detangle. And now i'm going to take this don't hurt brush. Yes, that's what i call it i'm going to try to detangle this, but the space that i gave myself between the sink and the camera. Just wasn't enough. It wasn't the right angle for me to do what i needed to do so yeah new plan. Most of this got detangled off camera, but i started with the ends and i slowly worked my way up towards the roots. Take your time. This is that nape area that was really really nappy and, as you can see, we made a lot of progress with it. This is the front everything is all detangled, i'm just going to do one more pass through before we start to rinse out this conditioner, but, as you can see in the brush, a lot of the hair from the nape area came out from it. Just being so. Matted, but this is how it looked with the conditioner on it. Look how silky look, how shiny and healthy this hair look. It looks nothing like how it did when we first started again. This is my third or fourth time, washing it and no, i did not get this much shedding with the other washes, but because i waited so long to wash it this go around and i just gave up on caring about. It is why so much came out, and it was just so tangled in that nape area like that here, i'm just dipping the hair in and out of some clean water to kind of rinse off that conditioner. Look. How pretty this hair looks y'all and, as you can see in the water, some of the dye is still coming off. So once it's all rinsed out, i just go ahead and lay it on the towel just to get any excess water that'll come off of it. I do not towel dry it at all. I just lay it right on there and let it drip. Then i take this breathable mannequin stand and i put the hair on there to air dry overnight. Next, i'm going to take this denman brush and i'm just going to smooth out all of the curls to make it nice and smooth so that way when it dries, it's no frizz. Okay, so here is what it looks like after it's dry and y'all. It is giving me moana bob y'all just know that it's not going to stay like this once you put it on, it's definitely going to start frizzing up a little bit, but i got something that can take care of it. Look at that just look at those juicy silky curls. This is what it looks like now in the sun. When i first got it, it was like a natural black like a 1b kind of color, and now it's this brownish color so cute. Now i'm going to use some of this garnier fructis, sleek and shine. This is an anti-frizz serum and this works wonders it's been around for so long and it smells so good. I absolutely love it. I track every path i make. Every road leads back to the place. I know i just love this headband wig. It is so versatile. You can have endless hairstyles with this one wig, i'm going to start wearing it again as much as i was wearing it before. I even like the new color that it gives. Hopefully, if i wear my hair out with it, it blends, but it's just so cute if you like this video, go ahead and give it a thumbs up, and if you like the content, please don't forget to subscribe. I have much more like this and more coming soon, thanks for watching
