How many of you have ever tried to put a ponytail into your wig, but you've just completely abandoned the idea, because you can't seem to make it look natural and it looks just way too wiggy. Well, i'm amanda with chaquel, and i'm here to give you a really quick tutorial on how to put your wig into a ponytail. So it doesn't look like this. In case you were wondering this is not okay, so the first thing you're going to want to do is brush out your wigs so that it is free of any knots and it's really easy to work with once you've done that you can go ahead and put It on your head, once your wig is on your head, you're, going to want to pull your hair back as if you were doing a low ponytail. However, because this is a wig, we do not want to make this hairline detectable. So we need to keep it over our ears as soon as we pull it behind our ears and especially if you don't have any hair growth of your own, it's going to show that you are wearing a wig, so keep it over top of your ears. As you pull it back into a low pony all right, so once it's pulled back in this low pony, you can see that it still does not look quite right. You'Re going to notice, especially that when i turn around the nape of my neck has creeped up a bit and that again is going to give away that you were wearing a wig. So what i do before i secure anything is i pull down at the nape of my neck while holding my ponytail, so i pulled down the nape of my neck, so it's in a more natural position after i've done that i'm going to look at the front Of my wig now the front of my wig just to make it a little bit more natural to hide the hairline. I often like to pull out just a couple pieces to make it a little bit wispy and again to hide the hairline a bit more. All right so, once i have my nape pulled down and my pieces pulled out, i'm going to secure it with an elastic once i've secured it, i'm going to pull up my hair and tighten it as i do that. However, again the nape of my neck is going to creep up. So again, i need to tug down at the nape of my neck as i do that i'm going to pull at the hair at the back to make it kind of bump out just a little bit so that it kind of covers the hairline at the back And one more time, i'm going to pull at my hair to lift it up a bit to give it a bit more volume, and just like that now i have a ponytail that looks pretty natural. If you find pieces have started to come out that you don't want out, i just secure it with a bobby pin. The great part if you're wearing a longer wig, is that it's going to have lots of body and it's going to cover the back of your hairline. If you have a shorter wig and you're trying to do a ponytail or you're just feeling really self-conscious still, and you want to ease your way into doing a ponytail, then i suggest you do a headband that wraps all the way around your head, because if you Do that the base of your headband is going to cover where your skin meets your hairline at the nape of your neck? I hope this was helpful for you and i'm wishing you so much luck as you try. Your next ponytail on your wig have a great day you guys bye. I
