Sleek Ponytail Tutorial With Extension - Angel & Coco

This has been requested for so long and I just want to say I'm so sorry that it's taking me so long to do. I'Ve literally been like weave and then I'd be like not having weed for just a couple of days. So I didn't get around to doing the tutorial, but it's finally here for you guys it is my sleek ponytail tutorial. This is honestly my favorite hairstyle every occasion. It'S perfect. I'Ve got this chill or it's an event is so sleek, elegant, classy and it's just an easy, everyday hair tutorial on to see how I achieve this look then keep on watching okay, so the two products I'm going to be using are the argan oil, perfect edges Extra hold edge control and then, on top of that I go in with the got to be ultra blue. So let's start this tutorial. The first thing that you're going to need is a bristle brush. I personally use a boar bristle brush and what you want to do is make sure that the brush is really hard. I see a lot of the boar, bristle, brushes and they're like so soft, and it's like it's really not like licking anything and it will do like the top layer, but it doesn't really give you that, like full slick effect, so as you can see, my hair Has like a little bit of product in it right now, just because I had to go out earlier, I needed to like tame my edges a little bit, but I washed it yesterday. So there's like just oil. I'Ve just put loads of hair oil because my hair's been getting really dry with like heat damage and stuff like that. So when I don't have weave in I try to like oil, my hair, so they thought it. It looks really oily but is actually just hydrating. So I always used to have ants on my hair and I am gon na start by putting my hair up to the height of the ponytail that you want it. So I'm gon na go for a reasonably high ponytail. I normally do not too high but high enough, so now that my ponytail is at the height that I want it, I'm just gon na secure it with one hair band. I'M gon na start by taking the cream of nature, Argonaut edge, control and edge control is really different from like hair gels as it like really does hold it down me personally. If I use a hair down on my hair, it will just go curly again and I haven't relaxed my hair or anything. I just straighten my hair, so I try to use products that aren't like to water base, as hair gels will just completely make my hair grow Carly a bit like 10 minutes. So I take the edge control and I do use a lot, if I'm honest, because I, like my hair to be really slick and I'm gon na go ahead and apply that let show you what it looks like so much better. So, depending on your hair texture, you may want to use less or more. I have quite fine hair, but my hair is naturally really curly, so I also have like very short edges, so I do feel like I need quite a lot of product to like hold it in place and then make sure that you bring the edge control around The back simply silly thing, because you don't want like the front of your hair slicked and the back is looking like wild, so once i've gone in with the edge control, it doesn't hit me long because, honestly, i put on so much I'm gon na take the Boar bristle brush, which is really really strong, and I'm gon na sleek, my hair up just to get it and what I will say is if you have curly hair that you can slip up and it will look as if your hair straight and you're wanting to Add like a straight ponytail, then don't bother straightening up hair like don't bother doing the sort of heat damage to it, because it's just unnecessary, but with my hair, because it's so like a naturally curly as soon as like I try and slick it up from kylie. Like you can see waves like proper waves, so next, I'm going in with a got to be ultra blue. This stuff is a rock it's actually for like, and people use it on their edges to put that wigs down bar. This is like so perfect for a really sleek ponytail execute and I'm gon na go and apply that. But this time I do apply this product a little bit more, more sparing. This is like as much as I brush it with this, but then, when you want that, like smooth, sleek, sleek sleek, look a toothbrush is the key any toothbrush. But I like this one reach, because it's hard and I just go over it - say that it really baby personally and don't worry about your edges at the very front, because I'm gon na do a little bit with that. Now I'm gon na show you what I do to my baby. As you can see, I don't have like loads of edges, but I do feel like it just finishes off the look when you do a little bit, so I'm just going to be taking the edge control for this, because you don't really want to be like trying To do them, because you might do your edges and you might wanna let change it and like the halter glued will kill you. So don't do that and what I do with the gel is. I just drive the little edges that I have down cause. This is a giant once my edges, I told you that are too beautiful strong. That is what I do and then for the front part, I don't have like a lot of small edges at the front, so I just drag like a little bit down from like each side, and I leave like a bit of like my hair in the middle. Just where my head, actually is that's just like with I love with our edges, but at the same time I feel like with edges just adds a cool bit of filet ba-baby decide. I want to be doing baby what you can do, which would have been clever. What you didn't do is like, when you're sticking your hair, maybe like leave out your edges, you know, so you don't have to like scrape them down like that, be pretty all the time. Just sound like fun, you get the better. Let me show you what it looks like so much better. Now, I'm gon na go ahead and this is the trick. Like I don't know, as you can see, I don't have much, but I go ahead and I had my ponytail extension. I have a real hair. Ponytail extensions: you can get real heroin, synthetic ones, repair shops online stuff like that. I will link below where I got mine from the Instagram page, but I'm not sure if they still do them. I'M not sure if it's up and running I've had this for so long, it's real hair, so I would recommend real hair. I wish it shampoo and condition it straighten it and it's like bad. It'S lasted me so long. The only thing is the lace hairs like to have torn a little bit, but it doesn't matter. This is a Kip on ponytail. You can't get drawstring ones. I would definitely recommend these ones, so you have like the clips and you have what you clip it on the ponytail and then you have an extra bit of hair that you wrap around the ponytail to make it look natural, make it look sleep. So what I'm gon na do is I personally prefer to keep my hair in a ponytail. I used to put my hair into a bun, but it almost gives you like an extra like added volume to the ponytail, not like the hugest fan off. So I keep my hair in a ponytail, but the plus side, if you straighten your hair, so it will look like you know it will blend into the ponytail. If you do decide to keep your hair curly, which, if you can that's great because it's just like a heat-protective style and you don't need to damage or have no reason, if you, if you can what I would do, is I would twist my hair into a Bun, I would hair, pin it and then I would attach it to the bun, but I'm showing you why I personally do so for the purpose of this video. What I do is I leave my hair in a ponytail and I'm going to clip it on so you're, going to take the clip to the band in your ponytail and we're going to clip it underneath the band literally once or in VAM, and then what you're Going to do is you're going to take the wraparound thingy, make sure that's nice and brush. So it looks sleek and you wrap it around and you've tuck the band under and it's velcro. So I'm going to try and show you it's gon na velcro like that and then what you do. Is you literally just you literally they're gon na take this extra piece that they give you and you're gon na wrap it around the root of the ponytail. Just to secure it, and it also just hides the fact that you've clipped it on you wrap this around and it's like blazer people will wrap this around in their natural hair anyway, so it just it just makes it look a lot more sleek and it also Hides where you've combed it in and then you're going to take a hair slide. I'M going to use two just to make sure it's a researcher and you're going to hair slide the little piece of hair that you've wrapped around just to make sure that it stays in place, doesn't move around anywhere and doesn't comment on cuz. I can't even lie. I have had a couple of occasions where my ponytail has not. It won't fall off if you have lied it but, as I said like, I never confine hair, slides, okay and, as you can see, my hair is in straightened, like amazingly perfectly underneath, but what I basically do is I put my hair into the middle of it And because it's wrapped around, it gets hidden within the ponytail. If I was like really being that crazy perfectionist, then I would straighten my hair a little bit me about, like my has already damaged, not no need so yeah. That is the finished look.
