How To: Sleek Ponytails Using Bundles | Ali Grace Hair

Hi guys and welcome back to my channel, I finally recorded the long awaited ponytail tutorial. Okay, so you can do two ponytails like I have or one singular ponytail. It is completely up to you, so I've already got one done just to save us some time. I wouldn't recommend doing one whole ponytail and you'll see why, later on in the video, so for the hair that I'm using I'm using a Lee grace bundles I'm using their Peruvian straight, I really recommend their hair. You guys the as you guys can see. I'Ve been wearing these ponytails. If you follow me on my other social medias for a very long time, and this hair has been holding up amazing, I don't straighten it. I don't do anything. I literally just put it in and that's that so, like I said, I'm using their Peruvian straight. This is a 22 inch bundle. The other one is a 20 inch, but it's okay um. You won't really notice the length difference, but yeah, as you guys can see, the hair is bouncy. It'S full. The ends are thick. It'S silky. This hair is just so bomb and it's super duper, affordable. Okay, so I like to just keep their bundles around the house for it when I want to do styles like this, and I just use them over and over and over again, so everyone always asks. Does your hair have to be straight for the style? No, it does not have to be straightened, so, as you guys can see, my hair is curly, I'm just combing it out. You just want to get it nice and detangled, because you're gon na slick it up into a ponytail. So whatever is easiest for you to be able to slick your hair into a ponytail, if it's easier for you to straighten your hair, to do that, then it doesn't matter. You can do that. For me it doesn't matter I'm just putting some oil in my hair. So it's moisturized, while it's up in this style or you know, moisturize a little bit some of them so to slick my hair up. I use eco styler, gel and gots to be glued. I mix the two: the eco styler, just isn't strong enough and the guys to be is just too strong, but when I mix them, I get like a perfect balance. It'S perfect, so I just mixed about that. Much together rub it together in my hands and put it on my hair as you're gon na see you don't want to already have your ponytail down because you'll do this. I got gel all in my bundle, but it's okay, you don't even notice but yeah. Usually, I would do each ponytail like at the same time you get me so anyways, so I'm using a hard wave brush these arguments. Brushes I've had this in size in like middle school. It just works on my hair. It'S licks it up really good. So I'm just looking it up and putting it in a ponytail. You want your ponytail to be pretty tight, but not too tight. Okay, because your head will hurt like the middle of your head, where your part is, it will hurt so bad, okay and you'll. Just you, you will go nuts, so don't make it too too. Tight or you're gon na have a headache. Once you've got your hair in your ponytail you're, going to braid the ponytail, so literally you're just gon na make a plat and then once you've got it all the way. Braided to the end, you're gon na take a hair, tie and wrap it around the ends. I know some people like to use like regular rubber bands, but I like regular hair ties. Also, if your hair is short, you guys, you can use braiding hair to make your braids longer okay, so now I'm taking the bundle and I'm getting a needle. It'S already threaded, you only need about this much thread and I'm going to take the needle through the end of the West. What I love about Alley grace hair, is that the wefts are strong because the hair doesn't shed. You guys see. I wear this ponytail. All the time but they're loose enough to where I can get my needle through easily. So now, I'm sticking the needle through the ponytail holder, okay, I'm gon na put this in slow-mo. So you guys can see you again. The needle is going through or under the ponytail holder you see boom there. It is so I'm basically sewing the end of the weft to the hair tie. That is at the end of my braid. Okay, trust me. It makes sense when you do it. I hope that wasn't confusing, then I'm just gon na wrap it around one more time like I'm gon na, do one more knot just to secure it like so as if you were to be like braiding a weft, I mean sewing a weft or whatever wrap it Around splice pull it through and it makes a knot. Okay. So then I'm going to cut the end of the needle off and you know, knot off the thread and just cut the excess set up. But, as you can see like it is attached. Okay, so you're sewing the end of the bundle to your ponytail holder and, like I said this Ally, grace hair. You guys. I'Ve used these bundles for ponytails, probably over 20 times I've got no shedding. I always use the same end when I'm sewing the weft. To my ponytail holders, like they're just so sturdy, the hair is awesome like this is probably some of the best ally, hair I've ever tried. So now I forgot to lay my edges down earlier, which I would suggest you do if you're gon na use the mixture that I did, because your hair will kind of get a little stiff and it'll be hard to lay your edges so anyways, I'm just laying Them down now, I'm using the guts to be glued. I do use that on my edges only because they just get messed up through my makeup and just like I don't know this hair just don't want to stay on my face. So I like to use the gots to be glue for this now back to the ponytail portion, so you've already got your weft connected. What you're gon na do now is literally you guys, you're, just wrapping it around your braids okay and this method to me work so much better than just wrapping a weft around the top of your ponytail, like at the very very top because it gets bulky. You'Ll still see your hair underneath. So when you do this braid method you're getting the left all the way around your entire braid. So if the wind blows you'll never see your hair, it just always looks like the hair. Like the West, you know, so it just always looks good. So I'm literally just wrapping it around. I'M gon na speed this portion up now, because that's all I'm doing and just let you guys watch and you're just moving up as you wrap it around, and you want to do this gradually because it'll give the hair a nice layered. Look, you know, and that way it's not like you know. How can I explain it if you were to wrap it too quickly or like skip a portion, it would like it would look gapi if that makes any sense. It'D still be cute, like no one will notice, but you know and as you're rapping make sure you're running your fingers through the hair like the West is gon na. You know twist up so you have to you, know, constantly pulling everything straight and all of that, but this hair, so silky it doesn't take much so I'll. Let you guys just watch me wrap it until we get to the top and your arms will get sore. Be prepared, okay, so now, once we get up here to the top I'm gon na how to slow the clip down. Well, not slow it down, but it's not going to be sped up, because I need you guys to be able to see how you do the top. So once you start running out of left, you're gon na start to wrap it around your ponytail holder. Like you see, and then this last little bit of weft okay, you see I'm taking the hair okay. Now I'm not wrapping the weft so much anymore, but I have the hair in my hand all right and you want to get enough. That'Ll cover all the previous. You know tracks and you see I'm just wrapping it around the top like so, and I'm trying to keep it nice and flat, so it'll be kind of thick. The more you use your bundles, the thicker, the hair gets, you know, cuz, it's not so silky and straight. So I'm just wrapping it around to cover up all the previous tracks. Like so, and I'm gon na straighten out the hair, you see cuz, it kind of gets wrapped up. Sometimes so you just kinda have to use your fingers and just kind of yeah straighten everything out like that. Then, oh, I don't know what happened then for this last little piece, I'm gon na be taking some gel, I'm using the gots to be glue gel you want to get. I mean kind of a lot, not gon na say a lot a lot but like enough to like really coat the ends of the hair, because it's gon na make it stick and what I'm doing now is I'm getting the rest of this hair, I'm wrapping it Super tight in between like in that little crack it's hard to explain but you'll, know, you'll know when you're doing it and then I take whatever is left over it, and I just rub it on that last little piece of hair up there that we wrapped around And that's it you guys. This is how I would do a single ponytail, the double ponytails. You can do three, four or five. However many ponytails you want to do and that's it. It looks so good. I love using this ally, grace hair for this. You guys their Peruvian straight is so silky. So pretty it's perfect okay, so I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial.
