Hey you guys, so i'm coming to show you guys how i got my honey blonde hair. I know a lot of you guys saw my hair on my instagram and on my youtube and i'm wondering how i got this color. So this is that video. I literally did everything at home. These are all the products i used. I will leave links down below to all these products, but here i'm just going to let you guys know kind of what i did to get it, and this is a lot of trial and error. You guys, because i've never bleached my own hair at home. Before i went ahead and put the bleaching powder in a bowl, i did use three scoops and then i went ahead and grabbed the developer and i did a two to one. So i used three scoops of powder. I used six scoops of developer so then i just used my comb to just mix it together. It still was a little lumpy, but it was okay um i just mixed it all together, then i detangled my hair with a wide toothed um comb, and i split my hair into four sections and i first i started using the comb to apply the bleach, but Then i was like nah that's way too much and that's going to take too long, so i ended up just like scooping the bleach out and just putting it um. You know on my hair. I made sure that i only did the ends of my hair first and then i went back and went in and did the roots of my hair. I didn't want to over process the roots and i didn't you know wanted to look too too uneven. I was very, very nervous about it, looking uneven and being over processed at the roots, so i made sure to just do the ends first, now, as you can see, my hair already has bleach on it, but this was a box dye, so it wasn't bleach only It was um a box dye that has the bleach and the developer and the dye all in one step. So um, that's what's at the end of my hair, but that had been growing out for almost like a year. I tend to color my hair every fall. I don't know why in the fall, i just want a change with my hair, so i tend to color my hair in the fall, but this is my first time using actually bleach and powder and developer normally i'll. Just pick a box dye that does you know the bleaching and the coloring all in one step, but i decided to be a little adventurous and do this on my own this time and you guys i messed up so many different times. It came out so uneven, but you know what it's all a trial and error, and i'm here to show you guys everything even my imperfections, even when i'm just trying to do something for the first time you know not. Everything is a tutorial on my channel. Some things are just a trial and error, so this is how i got um so far what i did so far, then i went ahead and um went into the roots and separated the hair and went ahead and added the bleach into the roots. Now what i realized i did in the back was that i did not go all the way into the roots like you can see in the back. My hair is still not completely coated with bleach at the roots. It is coated at the ends and you can see the color is changing at the ends, but at the roots in the back. I don't know what i was thinking about. You guys. I was so concerned that i will over process my roots. I didn't even color the the roots in the back, but i did a much better job in the front because i could see what i was doing also um. I did this late at night, probably like two in the morning, and there was no one to help me, so i literally was just talking on the phone and doing this because i just got impulsive at night. So this is what i did and um yeah. I tried to fix a lot of the mistakes, not everything got fixed, but i definitely tried to fix a lot of my mistakes, so here um, you know i pretty much was done and i just went back and tried to just add bleach where i could, but I was kind of running out of bleach at that point and um i just was like scraping the bowl at that point. You guys so um. I just went back and tried to add a little bleach and then i put my timer on for 20 minutes and i went ahead and put a processing cap on and let it sit for 20 minutes so after 20 minutes was up. This is what it was. Looking like you guys and i was pressed to go ahead and take the clips down and take the hair down and kind of look at it um, but i also knew 20 minutes was up. So it was time for me to get this um bleach. Out of my hair, but i could definitely see like where i was kind of missing some spots. So what i ended up doing was separating the hair out and just looking at it to see like what i could do to try to even some of it out. So what i ended up doing was mixing up more bleach and i ended up just slathering, some of it in the places that i could see. But clearly i still missed a big chunk in the back that i couldn't see. That'S still black. So after i went ahead and washed everything out, i went ahead and added my cholesterol, because i really wanted to be sure that i was putting moisture back into my hair after i stripped it. But then, as i started, adding the product in i could see like. I was missing so many spots were still black in my hair and it was so even i was like okay. What can i do so? I went ahead and added the cholesterol everywhere, because i still wanted to condition my hair and just you know coat it with a good, deep conditioner. And then i decided to use the leftover mixture that i had to go ahead and bleach. The areas that were still black because, more than anything, i want to be able to pull my hair up into a ponytail and for it all to be the same. Color like i can't pull my hair into a ponytail and there be spots of black everywhere. So my most biggest concern was pulling my hair into a ponytail and making sure that my hair at least looked even in a ponytail or if i separated my hair into a middle part. So i made sure to just hit those spots that were like kind of ruining what my hair would look like if i pulled it up. I know this looks crazy and i know this is not the way to do this, but you know i'm not a professional. So i just did the best that i could you guys and yeah don't try this at home. This is not a tutorial, i'm just showing y'all the crazy ways that i have to do my hair at home alone. Um, you know with no help. I would definitely not suggest suggest doing this when you're at home by yourself at least, do it like if your roommate is home, if your child is home, so at least they can see what you're doing um anyway. I left that on for another 20 minutes, i washed it all out. I did the cholesterol treatment again i washed and conditioned my hair with the apogee product, and then it was time to blow dry. So i went ahead and grabbed my sleekit um heat protector. This one is from l'oreal i'll leave links down below to all the products i used in this video you guys um and you'll be able to just shop those links right down below. I went ahead and grabbed my yellow bird blow dryer. This is my favorite blow. Dryer, it gets so hot. It cuts your blow drying time in half, especially when you're blow drying by yourself. You just want something: that's going to get the job done right and get the job done fast, so i love this blow dryer. For that reason, um just remember like to achieve a good silk press and a good blowout and flat iron. You have to start with a good blow dry like if your blow dry is not right. Your flat iron process and your silk press process is just going to be a hot mess, so you want to make sure you're using the right products and you want to make sure you're using the right hot tools. So the products that i use in this video really really help me to achieve the silk press and the blowout that i achieve, and on top of that, you always want to remember. You want to start with healthy hair if your hair is experiencing any type of damage, any type of breakage any type of challenges. You probably don't want to start on. You know bleaching and you know pressing your hair. You probably want to give it a chance to get back healthy, but you know for me my hair is in a good place right now, so i was like okay, let's go ahead and give it a try, so i will link all the products down below that. I use in this video to achieve this silk price and to achieve this color. So i'm using my glee may pressure precision rat tail comb and i'm using my babyliss one inch flat irons. These are my favorite um products to use when i am flat ironing my hair. I also use my glee may silk serum. You only need to use three pumps on either side of your head to go ahead and get that beautiful, silk. Look that doesn't weigh your hair down. It'S a very weightless serum. I don't know why. I didn't show it, but i was probably just moving and talking on the phone. But yes, so you just want to go ahead and hit the root, and then you just want to slowly bring your flat iron down. I see a lot of people flat iron, their hair and they feel like they have to go back over and over and over the hair, and i think that happens because you're not moving slowly down the shaft. So i kind of didn't want to speed this up too much to kind of show you guys how slowly i move down my hair and that's how my hair um, you know, gets nice and straight without having to go over and over and over each section. Multiple times, so you can kind of see that you know i miss some spots and some areas are literally still black, but what i told myself is i'm gon na try to correct those issues the next time i go ahead and color my hair again, because i'm Definitely going to bleach my hair again, i ultimately wanted it to be ginger. I was going to just bleach it to a high enough shade to get to ginger, so this was really just supposed to be an interim color, but i ended up liking. This color and i ended up not going to ginger at all. I ended up keeping this color, but this wasn't the plan. The plan was to bleach my hair, give it like a week after the bleaching process to just rest and then color it to ginger, and you know that would be the ultimate product of what i was trying to achieve. But when i got this blonde, i actually liked it, and i was like you know what i'ma just keep it as this blind for a while. We will so somehow, when i um bleach my hair. Somehow the front ended up with like this light streak of blonde. In the front - and i didn't even plan for that - but i think it came out really nice, like i don't know where this light streak of blonde came from, i didn't intentionally do that, but, like i kind of like how the front is very much so highlighted, And then you know everything else is like this warmer honey, with shades of like chocolate and brown y'all. I don't know what i was doing, but it ended up coming out: okay, um. Obviously, i'm gon na correct some of the issues that i did have, but for the most part i was like wow. I cannot believe i actually bleached my hair by myself at home and my hair didn't fall out. Y'All, like my hair, was good, and this is the first time i've ever colored my hair well, not ever, but this is the first time i've ever bleached my hair with actual powder and developer. So i was like wow this. This actually worked, i'm i'm so shook. So this is the end result you guys i went ahead and also curled it as well, but i was just so happy with the color um yeah. This is the lightest. I'Ve been in a long time. I typically do like chocolate brown, but this is the lightest. I'Ve been in a while, and i was actually really really happy with it, so i went ahead and grabbed my conair um. Oh, this isn't kinda my salon, um hot tools, uh curling iron. I grabbed that and um. This one is the biggest one they sell. I think it's the inch and a half - and i just put big barrel curls in my hair and then i just finger combed them out and then used a wide tooth comb, and that was pretty much it you guys. So i just went ahead and finger combed. The curls out and that's pretty much all i did you guys. I know this was kind of a long video, but i just wanted to show you guys what i did, how i achieved this color. I know a lot of people were super shook when they saw this on the gram. They were like wait a minute. Is this a wig or is this your hair and it looks like you colored your hair and i'm like? Yes, i did. The video is coming. I definitely bleached my 4c natural hair and got it to this honey, blonde, shade and yeah. Let me know what you guys think: have you guys ever bleached your hair at home? Let me know how i could do this a little better. Next time um yeah, i'm gon na, let you guys see how my curl pattern holds up um with me. Maintaining this color. I think my curl pattern is fine, though you guys, like i'm, not too worried, because i don't have any other chemical in my hair. I don't have a relaxer, so this bleach is really all it is and it seems like it's doing just fine, and i did this weeks and weeks ago. So all right, you guys make sure you subscribe share this video with a friend share this video with a blonde hair lover share this video with your mama peace. You
