How To Do Large Knotless Braids || Step By Step Box Braids Tutorial

Hey guys welcome back to my channel if you are new here, my name is shanae and in today's video i'll be showing you guys how i achieved these knotless braids on my cousin, i'm using her as my model. So i'm going to go into detail in this video, showing you guys the products i use the hair. I use the type of technique. I use everything like that. So continue watching irish a figure - that's my type so jumping straight into this video i'm going to go ahead and part her hair down the middle straight to the back next i'll be parting out the rows. So that's exactly what you see me doing now. I did five rows in total. There was two rows at the back and then three rows at the top. So i'm starting with doing the rows on one side and then i'll be connecting the rows on the next side. So i'll be parting it through on the next side, you'll see it in just a few seconds, but i part on one side and then i follow up with the parts on the opposite side, so for the back i'll be obviously working with the bottom row first. So i just clip the top row above it away that way. It'S not in my way, and i like to define my part, so i go in with my shine and jam and i use that on the part section, so i spread it on the part and then go ahead with my tail comb. You have to make sure your tail. Comb is a good tail. Comb like it has a tip, it's actually sharp, but not sharp. If you know what i mean, so that's exactly what you see me doing now. It defines the part and obviously you want a crisp part, so we're going to be using the color 425 in the expressions brand. This hair is pre-stretched, so it comes with three bundles in the pack and for each bundle. I split the hair into four equal pieces and i just laid them down on a table so for each piece is basically one braid. So in a pack you basically have 12 braids. So because i like all my braids to be even i just like to separate the hair ahead of time, so what i do is for each braid. I section it out in about six pieces, so i split it in half i'll split it in half again and then i'll make two smaller pieces out of one of them and that's what you see me doing now so, of course i'll be using my ebb and Edge control and i'm just going to apply it all over the bottom row, this row i'll be splitting into two braids, so i'm just combing it through making sure it's smooth and then i'm going to part it down the middle so make sure you comb it through. Like all the way through make sure it's nice and slick, i like starting my feed in with starting the braid and then adding in the smaller piece that i spit into two so i'll, be using this two smaller pieces first and then i'll be feeding in the Rest of the four pieces because, as i said before, i split them into six pieces, there's two smaller pieces and then four regular sized pieces that i add in also. I wanted to add that when you're, adding in the pieces of hair, you want to make sure you're holding onto the braid tight, because your braid will look loose now here you see me unraveling the braid, and that is because i felt like it was getting too Thick and i didn't want that look so what you can do is just split the braiding hair into a smaller piece and then feed it in you. Don'T always have to put in the same amount of hair depending on how thick the person's hair is. So you kind of want to eyeball it and make sure that it looks how you want it to look and it's it just flows, so you can always put in smaller pieces and break it up like that as well. So i'll just be going through continuing this process, you guys can see how many braids i did you guys can see how i do each section and i'm going to speed it up, of course, but i just want to show you guys how i kind of started Out the back and then i'll jump to the top, and you can more get a better look of how i actually feed in and add in the braid once i reach to the top, because it was just easier to record that way. Do you see how it just makes like so much easier when it's already parted out? All you need to do is just make the part look crisp like you need to make sure that you plan ahead okay plan ahead. That way, the finishing look just looks great. So this second row, i parted it into four pieces. Normally i like a brick layered effect and i would do five, but just because of the size her head shape. Everything like that. I did four pieces in the second row. So, as you can see, and now i'm going on to the first grade in the second one in my story, she said what you want from me baby, what you want from me: yeah yeah, nothing, but your company sitting on the top with me, yeah yeah. Oh, you want to go in between and also add some edge control, whatever you're, using to split down the hair and put it in between. So that's what you've seen me doing if i didn't mention it before, because when you don't, you can see the natural hair just popping out and when it's slick it's just slick, so you always want to make sure if the hair is thicker and the edge control Doesn'T reach everywhere when you put it around the section you want to go in and put it in between the section as well. Okay guys! So once i was editing, i realized this was becoming very repetitive, so i decided to jump through this video. I reached the top, but guys i did seven braids on both those two rows at the top, and now i'm doing the top section, which is gon na, have three braids on each side. So, let's get into this also guys if your client wants baby hairs, make sure that you comb them out before you start braiding, because you will have trouble trying to take them out once the braid is already done. Do thought i met you at the wrong time. Then you caught me on that one night girl, i wan na know how this thing get out of my controls. Ziplining to your timeline, hey that body don't lie. I will keep on calling so once the braids are done, i'm going in with my ebb and edge control and i'm just going to be doing her baby hairs a bit so i'll, be using my edge brush edge control and making some swoops. Also, if your client has long baby ears like it has ends, what i normally do is just wrap it around the braid try to like tuck it in and hide it as you can see, that's what i'm doing right now. That is my go-to. That'S what i normally do, if you guys have other suggestions other than cutting the hair, then by all means leave a comment down below. Let me know how you go about doing it, but i just normally tuck it or wrap it around the top portion of the braid. I didn't care for the hype yeah, but when i saw you tonight make sure so now, i'm going in with my narrow v foam and i'm just putting it all over her head. This helps with the edge control from turning white, because when you use a lot of edge control, it does turn white sometimes so i use it for that and also just to set the braids. So that's what you see me doing right now, trying to make sure i get everywhere and then i go in with my black strips this. Isn'T the wrapping of strips i got put on to some different strips. I think it's called red something like that, but i'll try to find it, but these strips are way stronger when they get wet than the wrapped up strips. So i highly recommend a shout out to the girl at the hair store that put me on, but once i wrap it, i'm gon na go ahead and blow dry it and once it's blow blow-dried i'll, once it's blow-dried and the foam is dry. I am just going to be taking the wraps off, i'm the foam just gives it such a nice finish. So now i'm going ahead and i'm going to wet her ends with some boiled water. I am using a milk jug. I find it easier to put the braids in so i dip it in sections, it's easier. It fits better, so i'm dipping it in sections and then i'm just taking a towel and i'm just drying the ends with it. So now i'm just taking a dry towel and i'm just going over the braids and kind of just trying to take out the excess water, and that is basically it. I just go in with some shine spray. This one is olive oil and i just spray all over. I also go in with my oil sheen and my scissors just to cut the loose ends, and that is about it.
