Sleek Down Ponytail On Short 4C Natural Hair | Drawstring Ponytail Styles

Hey guys welcome back to my youtube channel today, I'm doing a hair video, because I wanted to show y'all this poster ponytail hairstyle that I've been rocking for like the last week and some change and honestly it's one of my new favorite ourselves. I don't like it cuz. I freaking love it. Okay, so I'm coming at y'all with no makeup done in my hair in little afro because she didn't know, I cut my hair back and it was a year ago and it's been going back ever since I believe July. I start to go back in July. May I just a prompt to cut it cuz. I still have some blonde in it. I put some pictures here, so you can see what the blonde was. Looking like, I was rocking that blonde dog and I loved it, but my hair was also short, so I didn't really care like what I was doing to my hair. Then now that my hair is growing, I'm very excited because one I can do more style. Look there I feel like what store care honestly, although it's super easy maintenance, I get bored very easily and there's only so many stabs you could do with the short cut like that whole backstory. All that to say, I'm excited my hairs growing out. This is what it's looking like right now, so I actually washed it and blow dry day yesterday. You know it's not, as I guess blow dried out, because I slept on it, but this is the state I usually like to have the hair in before. I start this ponytail business. What we're gon na need is some eco, which is literally like the main ingredient in this entire thing, or AB a curl GV for shine and definition just to kind of hold the hair all together and give your hair some moisture. Every we're gon na need some got to be sprayed. I would say this is important only because for the last step this is just to make sure everything is held in place or without further ado, let's get into the ponytail. What I'm first gon na, do you want to kind of start in sections? You literally cannot just like slap on jail and just put it all over your head, because if I try to do that, my hair is just not gon na go to a point. So you want to start any sections, which means it takes a little longer, but that's okay, because what we signed up for what would you talk to grow our hair out? That'S just the name of the game. So what I'm first gon na do is part. My hair, like the kind of back area to near my nape, you don't need a comb for this, I'm just freehand in it and you can take big chunks but just obviously not super super big chunk. I'M gon na take a comb and the curl Gigli and then I'm gon na run that through my hair. Now I'm gon na take a nice gobble of gel and then apply that to this section of hair, I'm mainly applying it at the root and then at the nape again, because that's where I need it to just be slick, the root are the ends. Don'T really matter as far as applying the gel and I'm using a comb to just comb through that and lay it down now, I'm gon na take one of the scrunchies that is um not so stretched out, one that can kind of water. On my head three times and I'm going to first put a scrunchie are not scrunchie hair tie and just put that little piece in a ponytail. Now I wanted to show you guys this part of my hair, because this is my crown section and usually the crown of everybody's hair, it's kind of a bit more thicker cuz. I decided that I think I'm gon na do a middle part. This time I did a side parting last time, so when I go out the process would just show you guys really quick. How I did that I have my middle part going I'm gon na do a deep middle part. I still have some extra hair right here. So we're gon na do section by section, as we've done with the back. Obviously, the front section is usually much easier to do anyway, so I'm gon na Park this into two because we're I'm gon na first work on this section. Take image Ealy running that through the hair, using my fingers to kind of detangle and separate, is what we call hockey your hair as a Nigerian. That'S what I grew up saying, and so I did well who said put in a ponytail everybody so sad need to pack. My hair and people will gon na be like pack, your hair, but that's what I grew up saying. That'S what my mom said to me. So I used to pack your hair, which makes sense gather it all together and put it into one thing like you're packing a luggage you're packing your hair. So if y'all are saying pack your hair, just you know make sure you give me credit. I'M gon na bring you guys a little closer just so you can see what the front front is. Looking like hello, hi, okay, so I thought my last little section right here now: I'm gon na do this side, aisle camera and then I'm gon na come back and show y'all how I wrap it and set it and then show you hopital plenty too long. So I'll be right back so, as you can see, my hair is slicked down, so what I'm gon na do is take something got to be and what I did is just I sprayed it just kind of around the areas where I go ahead, flyaways and then I also sprayed it in my hand, again rubbed it and then just patted my hair with it thought TV is pretty thick. So you know your hair is molded to your head right now I don't own a do-rag, so I am taking this stuff right here and I'm just gon na kind of fold it just a little bit so where there's like so a long piece hanging and I'm Gon na use that to wrap my head, let that set for like the next hour or so and I'm I'll be back to show y'all what the pony total is looking like right. So I'm back makeup done and what not have this hair sitting in and out of the scarf for a couple hours battery died had to change to charge the battery tell him some other stuff anyway. Usually I will let this like sit overnight, but for the sake of this video, I just want to show you guys what the hair is now looking like. So this is what I forgot. I put a here tight around it. This is what is looking like. I slipped down on this. Going get. Will this hold up for working out and stuff because I work out and so um? I just depends on the length of your hair. If your hair is longer, it should definitely hold up, because you know all the strands are kind of packed into the time. If you're here in further like mine, I'm not necessarily sure it will hold up, I mean it will still keep its shape. So you can also, you know, easily apply reapply mojo and reapply more gel won't make any flake anything trust me. I tried it make you more flaky, but it didn't keep its mold after I went out because, obviously I'm sweating, so you know water and moisture, got all up in there so now to show y'all the ponytail her right here. So I got this little unit from the beauty supply store, I'm going to the beauty, supply and thinking like okay. I knew I wanted a pony tail piece. I just wasn't sure what kind of pony tail piece I was like. Maybe I'll just use, marley hair, which i do still want to experiment with I'll just use - connect a long, braids hair which I'll do an expert experience with. But I don't want something big and like bold, because I don't know I'm like it's my birthday. You know to do it all. So I came across this when it was only like $ 15. Maybe, if that it was like 14 13, which is pretty cheap and definitely didn't come this complete like when I first got it, the coils were very tight and it was very like kind of scrunched in so nothing, but a comb couldn't fix. I just combed it through, and so I didn't call me through all the way, because I did want to still keep some of like these curls. You can kind of tell you further kind of shiny and then this part is a little more like dough, looking which you know I. This is how I wondered a because I needed to mimic kind of like my natural hair. Not every part is gon na be like glistening, not every part. It'S also gon na look a little less my cluster. There we go. I swear I'm looking for luster, so this is the union I got so I went to show y'all like three different styles. You can wear with a unit like this, our ponytail peaks like this, because it's not just like throw it on and then that's it, even though that's how I have been wearing it, and I have worn it one other way, but now that I have it, I Do an experiment with it because I'm like, I probably keep it for like another two weeks and then you know toss it, but miles won't get a $ 50 worth. So the unit comes with Clips one right here and one right here. I also come with an elastic band, so I'm gon na just plop this on real quick. It'S like I transformed hmm, so I'm gon na clip it in right. Above now, I'm gon na take the other body clip and clip it underneath the ponytail, as so smooth loop kind of do a clip, a wig, don't take the drawstring and pull that so it can tighten on my head and that's the ponytail. This is how I wore my hair sock on my birthday. I had a side, a side, part sides who had some pearls, and then I had some baby's breath in it, which was cute. I felt a little Bridal, but whatever I liked it, but I liked it a lot because I feel like the gel mix with the jeely eye. You got to be spray kind of gave me this wavy texture that almost mimics this hairstyle as well. So I thought it looks like my heir somebody asked me to look like my hair how's that growing up I might want to live about Haring like it's, not mine, so you know it's not so in some way I want. I stopped this last week was like beyond that rubberband kind of pony toe that I've seen it before, where just like a rubber band and the Middleburg been at the end or been at this tip. So it kind of looks like three balls on your hair. That'S what we're gon na do, so what you want to do is take the ponytail first you're gon na just twist the hair, like kind of twist it. So it kind of you know it's a little easier to change. Just a bit now you're gon na just wrap it like you're putting herring Punto but you're doing it like at the one third section of the ponytail. Now I'm gon na do the rest. I'M gon na do two more so one at the like 2/3 level and then one at the tip it's gon na like puff it out just so it looks a little more like I'm done and not so perfectly and kind of wanted to look a little messy. It'S down number one super cute, pretty basic, pretty simple, it's very modest and very work appropriate. I mean I was approved to work, but if you I don't want to wear style like this, I want it to kind of tone it down just a bit. This is a perfect way to do that, so that is looking over one. Now, Philip done what you are going to use some string. This is ghost ring that I also got me beeps. Why you just put this in my braids, we're gon na put it around our hair to kind of give us this Grecian goddess, vibes, you're gon na take your string you're gon na tuck it underneath your hair, you're kind of gon na bring it a little low. Like kind of the middle of the ponytail, if you can then wrap it around just to kind of secure it back there on the time and then when you wrap it around again, you're gon na bring it lower. So this is meant to be like very messy and just kind of like you know you just put something in your head. It'S meant to look like that, so I'm just gon na add a hair clip just using this hair clip just to clip back any flyaways. You know we have these super cute there so, and that is hairstyle number two. This is the third and final look. So what I'm gon na do is take some pieces of the hair, like this right here. Take another piece here ever to strongly pieces. He was taking the end of the hair, you can see and using a pretty big bobby pin. You know you have a big poof, that's kind of like mimics, a bun. You have your little two stranded pieces got. Me purposely ripped out separate those. So you have like little winglets, and that is a third and final ponytail look, so that's all I have for y'all.
