Today, I'll be showing you how to make this DIY wire hair tie first you'll need fabric scissors, wire wire cutters and a needle and thread first take your scissors and cut two strips of fabrics that are the same size. Next, take your fabric and place the pattern sides together then sew around the edges, leaving a small opening on one of the sides. You can use a needle and thread for this, but I decided to use a sewing machine once you finish sewing up the edges. Go ahead and turn your fabric right side out next cut a length of wire twice as long as your strips of fabric, then fold it in half and twist the ends together. Once you have finished, shaping your wire go ahead and place it inside the fabric. Next, take your needle and thread and soak the open end. Once you finish sewing, then your wire hair ties finish.

Bon0912: This is a very good benefit for those that struggle to take out your ponytail and it doesn’t cause breakage or tangles but the downside to it is that it’s strong but super strong enough to keep tight and gripy

debsinthemiddle: Does it matter what sort of wire? I know if you twist wire too much it snaps, so is it a special wire?

Angie Melissa: very awesome!!

Bon0912: Also pipe cleaners are great options

April Xu: What kind of wire did you use??

McKenna N.: SUCH A GOOD IDEA

Patricia Mullins: How long is the hair tie so I know how long to cut it

J.M.: Will it stay?
