Trying Out My Instagram Ads... Instagram Product Review - Kayley Melissa

Now we hear Joel on the comment yeah. This is for you, hey everyone, Cayley, your friendly neighborhood, hair stylist here and today I'm trying some hair products that Instagram advertised to me. I have done an Instagram made me buy before, and I've done different video, showing you guys me trying hot tools and PR tools and all these crazy things, and today I thought it would be fun to try out some stuff from Instagram ads that looked far too Good to be true, so I have some that I have been saving as they popped up on my Instagram and then I just started scrolling and talking about hair constantly and just watching ads come up and I ordered from them and I'm gon na try them out With the help of my sister Anna Laura, as always, I need the long thick hair perspective, also hair stylist, nan, hair stylist, it's just more fun when both of us are together, Lilliana combo. I get harassed by these Instagram ads all the time and I feel like I fall victim to them for like five seconds, I'm like what this is life-changing, it'll be so great, and then I come in here and show you and you're, like probably doesn't work so We'Ll see yeah should we give them a little preview of what's to come. We have hair extensions, we have these weird-looking hair ties, we have hair mascara and we have a crimper that is out of this world. I am hopeful yet concerned. I'M gon na put it out there. They all might work. That would be awesome, but you never know. First up we have the perfect locks, hair extensions. This is a specifically one. That'S basically a hairpiece. That'S meant to be used on short hair. To give you an instant long Luke, I was particularly interested because I liked the idea of being able to get long hair very quickly not having to like braid the base of my hair down and put it in Wes. So I thought this looked really interesting. Let me show you this: her hair is just a little bit longer than mine, it's a little little liner and then you've got this like whole thing and it's on a net wow. That is a lot of hair. You section the top and you put it over like that, and then you literally just like pull out short pieces. Okay, I do want to point out that they showed that two hairs being pulled through that video and I can only assume by like the honeycomb shape. There is like about 20-25 to do right off the bat. I'M concerned that this is gon na. Take a long time, so I did this anyway, but this is the bougie one of the video coming in at over $ 200. I was not consulted. I just miss my long hair, okay. Apparently they also can't return really. I was definitely not computer, they are wonderful. I really hope this is magical. Oh No, look at those ends that video looks like a whole wig. That'S like an extension. Alright, we're opening this thing that's hold on I'm already mad. My heart is breaking currently mm nope we're starting off on a low note guys. That'S a cry: oh, I am pup set. This is not even me. Acting for the camera, I'm not happy okay. So this is two three clip West's right here, put together, thicker and look at the ends like how much did you pay for this entire set? Oh for not entire set, that was the same cost as this, and this is only two pieces of that set yeah. That'S maybe a fourth! Oh! Oh my gosh, oh heck! No, oh! This is like stuck together like I'm pulling it apart. Brah. Look at this! Like you, okay, hold on hold on like. Can you see how much light is coming behind that look at the ends not to even mention they're, like I ordered it too late for my hair, we're not gon na talk about that part. That'S not great guys. I'M upset, but I have paid the money yeah you're. Putting that on. Can we note the beard? Look at this. What is all that is, I just feel her hair to make it heavier. So you can lie and tell me how thick it is I'll. Let you do it very intense clips, mm-hmm Instagram. While I do us, Oh bro, I guess I pulled down so that the little honey combs are extended yeah. There were no pictures of this being like sectioned we're gon na this. Our own way, I'm gon na like get that out of the way, okay and then just pull the honey comb over it and clip it down. I don't know how you do this on yourself. This is crazy. She laid us the pretty girl with the dark hair Larry. Do us alright? Well, let's just call that good enough cuz. I can't even find the other clip. I think we need to try this again. These need to split the back Center off my head, alright, and I'm just gon na kind of reach in here and trying to move the hair out of the way. So it clips onto the roots and not like the hair, that's hanging down, so that I can pull that hair through the honeycomb. Alright, well pulling your hair. This is not gon na do anything anyway! Oh my gosh! This is worse than like a foiling cap. Oh God, oh this just seems like a mess. Yeah pulling. This through is not as easy as I was led to believe worst case scenario. I can kind of like cut these wife's up and make it into something else like you can always reuse wess. It'S not like I've totally lost, oh, but definitely did not get $ 200 worth of something holy cows. I mean I'm gon na keep trying right like we're gon na I'm gon na curl, the hair. So awkward, it's like saggy. Oh it is it's all bumpy. Oh man try and tell me that it's just the hair color, that's the problem here. Try me I look like somebody from. Is this your client? This is insane. This is the whole part you're supposed to take a whole like that and then grab some hair. We'Ll pull the hair through and that's supposed to just do something. I don't even know what. So that's one and there's like a thousand of these. I don't even know how to tell you that looks horrible. I think I got played y'all. This is a big chunky. Mess on the back of my head, I'm upset I'm irate. What is this you're charging? What for this? No! This is literally. What are you judging from this here, video game? Oh yeah, be my guest. Alright, you look at that. While I try and curling this mess. Okay, first of all, look how much hair that is. Oh, oh, that is rude. This is literally a scam just for your information curling, my hair isn't fixing the problem. I'M not even doing this, I'm not doing those! Don'T do it. It'S honest are not working under these conditions. Let'S flash up what it pictures you getting and what I got. I don't care. If she put it an inch higher on her head, then I did. I don't care if this is a little bit lighter than my hair. You know what I'm not gon na go as far as to say, scam, but I would say, um misleading marketing in the extreme. I am big mad, so here it is supposed to be 16 inches long, which is typically about here on me. So there is extra hair if you count this as extra hair, but I mean, even if you cut it, that wouldn't make things look better, just to be clear. Yeah, I'm gon na give this a big fat. This is not only am I giving this a big thumbs down. This is up in the top three of worse things I have ever purchased for my hair. Two of them have never even made it on camera. The first was a wig that I bought for my evolution of daenerys hair video that came smelling like bean sprouts, rotten bean sprouts, it was wet, it was yeah and the other one were hair extensions that I bought in a pinch off of Amazon, because I really Needed some and there were three hairs per wept and I'm not even joking. It was one hair next to each other. It didn't add in anything, wait. How does this have so many good reviews, those people, the would think, are so much thicker than my open, nevermind bruh. I want my money back, I'm real mad. This thing off my head before I have a conniption just think of it, like you spent two hundred and however many dollars for a carrying case, and to save you guys from this because look at the ends hi, you shouldn't be able to see me through them. Okay, so no don't recommend this run away, run far away, never buy from these people. No, and really, if you're going to buy extensions, like do your homework like really really investigate, because it is an investment yeah, there's some really great ones out there. Oh yeah! I love the extensions that I do haven't used just well, that's starting off on not the most fun. Note, that's not getting picked up all right. All right! I'M gon na put myself back together. We still have a whole video, but oh, do you want to talk about some hair ties? Yeah, I'm gon na try to let the rage go. So this is what I came in. This is from a place called Pro hair tie. Shall we look at their ads and price points? Yes, okay, so it's like those old-school like chains where you have the little dog tag: necklaces yeah um, but you it's a rubbery hair tie and they say that you can just take it apart like that. So you don't have to damage your hair, pulling your hair tight huh, which is kind of cool. So it's supposed to be good, for, I think, really holding your hair in place while you're working out okay. So then you go on their website and the hair ties. If you buy them like on their own or two dollars each or you can get a pack of eight for $ 15 and it is a hundred percent risk-free. You have a 30 day, money-back guarantee, so they spent real money on this yeah. We spent money on this line. Let'S see it comes with like your receipt, a little card to tell you some info, so I got a pack of eight of neutral colors, so it's all grey and black and white, and one clear I like those little bracelets that people wear so I ordered that And then the exact same day I went to pick up stuff from my mailbox, just my PR box, where a company send me things and I had a whole pack from pro hair ties. So I felt like I needed. They call that out. They send me a hairbrush for me, but this is the most exciting part they sent me a hair brush. I wish I'd been filming. It cuz. She almost cried, but I just wanted to say thank you to them for sending me just the sweetest box. They showed us things that we can do like you can cut it in half, so you can have half and half colors. They have glow-in-the-dark colors. They have a big one that they already cut up. To show that what that can look like? Oh, you can mix and match the little tabs on them. They look even more like chakra bracelets. They put this together with North Carolina colors. I just wanted to say thank you for a truly sweet and non wasteful box of PR. That was really really great. That being said, you will not get any special treatment, sir or ma'am. So here's what it is. Basically, it's a really thick rubber hair tie that has like a lot of like huh. It wasn't better worked with an earth tension yeah, it's like hard to pull apart. It'S like if it was a booty band, it would be the hard one, and it's got this little like toggle in here, where you can bend it and it opens up, and then you can toggle it about close after you take it out of your hair and The reason that it has that is so that when your hair is in a ponytail or whatever you can toggle it out and just take it off without pulling Hera's, oh wow, no you're a fan of that. I'M a big fan of that and then with a little card was saying. Is that if you want it to be tighter, you can choose wherever you want it to be, and you just want to make sure that you cut off right next to one of the bumpy beads, because they have a bumpy bead and a flat bead. So you would cut off right next to it, and then you can reattach and it's slightly tighter. Oh so that way you can make it have like your perfect hair ties: yeah Wow, yeah, I'm! This is what I was talking about. They like they get me, I'm like sold on this already and I haven't put in my hair. So the other thing like not only can you make it smaller to fit your wrist. If you have like abnormally small wrists, but you can make it smaller for finer, hair or if you're doing a half updo it you don't want to have to secure it. A thousand times yeah also it is like a soft touch rubber. It feels a little bit grippier than like a Christina's hot tool, so yeah, it seems like it would grip onto the hair really well without being like painful. Another reason why it's really good that they have that release technology, because if you pulled it out, oh yeah, I already know I would hate it. If that was the case yeah, it would rip out just all of your hairs, all right, I'm ready to try this yeah. Let'S do it well use our hairdresser. To put it in, I had no idea. Okay, still not sponsored still not biased, but, like that's free pro life, I had more room. I'D be running around right now. This is so cool ooh. Oh, I already really like this yeah okay, so this probably would have been a good thing to cut the elastic for before he started. It came undone! Oh okay. I think that's due another reason why you should have a smaller on cuz. This attention isn't on it. That'S why it would come apart. Oh yeah, this is so much better with a small one. Good call, Anna Laura wow that just changed my life holy cow. Well, then, I'm quite impressed this thing's not going anywhere yeah. My baby hairs are going everywhere, but the ponytails not going anywhere. I know the pony on video, I referred to ponytail holders. I was like a good bra like yeah, who needs like good support when this pointy tail holder went into my ponytail. This just felt like the perfect, like it just feels good, nothing just pulling yeah. That'S it. I noticing, like there's, no little hairs being no like everything's being held really evenly yeah, and it's not going anyway. No, this feels like it is there to stay like I'm pulling on it, and it's not going anywhere, and also this does still give you volume. That'S true, look at the lift, yeah and not in an awkward way. I got a ponytail gap. She does it's true and look. This is the lower pony that toe and I usually do, but it still has that, like perk to it, hey give me like a count to five one. Thousands, okay ready set, go one, one thousand two, one thousand three one thousand four one thousand five one thousand. I don't think it went anywhere there. It'S a little bit looser, but I had already kind of loosened on my pony tail. I withhold my judgment until in Ellora does hurts ready set, go one, one thousand two, one thousand three one thousand four one thousand five one thousand. What'S that wait, are you kidding me hold on? That'S never happened, playback the footage of a normal hair tie. Do it now, I'm in shock, I'm like in love right now: has your life just changed? Yes, it has. I think I need to do like a Burpee test in these. We won't be able to check back in again, but we can show the footage with the thumbs-up or a thumbs-down yeah cool yeah. Let'S play that clip. I do think mine loosened up a little bit, but I did already have like a looser ponytail right. /. Oh yeah, I could have tightened this more. You could even go for a teeny err, hair tie. For that reason, I practice the release. Let me use okay, I did it. Oh a half updo, where I lost no hair where's that been my whole life all right. I'M gon na make a smaller one just to see if that helps no come on, you rebellious hairs of doom. I don't know if anybody's gon na ask about this bandaid on my finger. There'S uh not much going on it's just like a weirdly angled paper cut that things keep getting caught in a little gross, but that's why I have a bandaid on it. Whew, that's secure! Let me do another hair test ready set, go one. One thousand two one thousand three one thousand four one thousand five, one thousand, oh yeah that went nowhere. Well, I like it for the colors that I, like I mean they kind of like a cute bracelet for the first time in my life, have a hair tie that I wouldn't mind having on my wrist. These are so cute, I'm like so happy with this. It really has turned my day around after those extensions. Oh, why did you have to bring that back? No, I, like I'm gon na, wear this great one right now, but also okay. Let'S say that you have really thick hair. You can cut, however many extra beads. You want off of one and you connect them together and you can make an uber hair tie. This is an extreme example. Cuz, that's like a whole hair tie. That'S almost a headband! Well wait! I mean I would probably have to cut off on her too, but you can make a headband out of this. This is so versed at all. Do they even know that you could do that? It'S not advertised. Did I just enhance your branding professional hair type? Will it take royalties from every headband sold? Thank you, that's cute, and it has like the rubber grip, so it wouldn't go anywhere and the with the whole being able to customize the exact size. You need and no headaches just a game changer. Oh, my gosh, I'm gon. Na be honest. I only bought this cuz we're making this video. I thought it was gon na be dumb ass, but this is good. Hmm. I love this well. First of all, love this better than the pony, oh yeah, and I recommend buying it yeah unequivocally. These are baby. Hairs have maybe want to move on to our next product. I have a feeling if you look at hair stuff on Instagram. Instagram has recommended you this weird hair, mascara looking thing: ditch the hairspray look at this they're just like coating, it looks she looks snow and you go like that and you're just gone. I mean if that works. It'S a game-changer right, so I actually went through and ordered from this ad and the product is still stuck at customs in China. What are we using today? So I went on Amazon and they have about a thousand of the exact same thing, so I figured yeah we're gon na see if this works. I will tell you so there's never been a better time for me to try a scaly look at my hair. So I got two hair mascaras and they also send a little hair, bun maker and some hair pins. Oh my gosh. Throw that away you get one. I get one tidy up broken here, improve irritability. I got lost in translation, I think so she clear. Oh, it looks very watery, it does so that looks like a mascara wand. It kind of feels like hair gel, especially if you only get a little bit. It'S like sticky. My stick, you know, let's give it a shot. I did get it off of my face and all into here, I'm gon na break this guy off. Alright, I'm like giving my hair another little brush through this actually is helping my hair get into a sleeker hairstyle cuz. I couldn't get it sleek before I mean that helped over all. Let me just lose these little guys again, wow that does look like magic. Yeah hold, please okay! Well, I didn't do the best job on my ponytail, it's lumpy, but the baby hairs look good! All right, well so far, so good, all righty that girl on it IG has nothing on me, not that this is a competition on broken hairs, but if it was I'd, be winning hold the phone. Where was this throughout all of my years of dating that insane? I thought this was gon na, be a joke. Yeah me too. This isn't a joke holy cow! What in the world that's impressive and you could hit it with like one more thing: a hairspray if you wanted to just cuz everything's, where it's supposed to be. That'S crazy: this is the real test, so I mean at the law. Let'S see if we can do anything woah this. Yes, it worked. Oh my god, it's staying up. Do you know how many times I've held these hairs up? Yeah we spray and then we press and then comb and bake really really did not think this was gon na work. I did not either. I see then getting these like little stubborn hairs that grow the other way. That'S so ok, Chinese, a little your hairs. Oh yeah, I was new again shadows, cuz those never go up, also, never no, never really! Well. Why don't you turn around and take a look in the camera? What Kayleigh it's perfect, what that's like celebrity stylist, ponytail, perfect, look! That is what I would just come into. Yeah be like you know, I'm just gon na have that little thing and I would just spray it so it wouldn't fly away. Oh my gosh, crazy. Let me take a picture in the back of your head. You ready what right Kayleigh, I'm dead, alright, so putting the clip down. First, okay, ha she's, secure! Alright! Finally, got there this ponytails, the charm, okay! Well, that is a really good thing to know for the pro hair tie. You want to put the clip thing down. Gerst mm-hmm cuz, I was having all kinds of trouble and as soon as I did that everything was easier Wow, so I've taken this thing down and messed with it. A lot now and my hair is still yeah pretty sleek yeah, but it also it feels like soft and touchable and everything still. Oh, I see these guys right here. Oh I didn't do that was their new, oh, my gosh, so satisfying right, wow. I really like this thing come show me the back of your head. It'S been a minute almost exactly the same. The only thing that's rebelling are the hairs that were literally growing this way away from where I was supposed to be. I was sure it was gon na be a joke. There'S no way. I was gon na be gunky, crispy crunchy, no gum, no crisp, no crunch. I just didn't think it was gon na work. I didn't even think I was gon na. Take the hair back. It'S just like so effortlessly, just that was beautiful. Alright, that was a big one for me, yeah. I will definitely be taking my own personal one home with me. We have one more fun thing to try says. Oh, I forgot about this. I saw it and I was like we have to try it. It is an automatic crimping iron. Why do you always make me do tools that I'm feeling are so scary, like that's terrifying, an automatic crimper, its content baby? Basically, this makes it so you don't have to crimp and move and crimp and move and clip and move. You can just prep a whole section of hair. What okay? I have date night tonight too. I did not think this through date night with the crimped ponytail. Oh, my god, okay question: do people crimp their whole head? I don't know so. Let'S show you guys the features inside you have these little plates that create the crimp and when you close it they fit together and they rotate so that you can rotate it down. The hair, how do you talk it? Scared by this stuff? I don't know because it's art, I don't know how hot it is. Yet it might not be super deep. Yet Wow, okay, I don't look at I it okay, but I like how it rolled through my hair. So I mean there is limited scope of use for a crimper with current trends. But if you like to crimp pieces of hair to help hair be fluffier to braid with, if you like, to create 80 styles that are referential, often I don't know, or I've seen. People with natural hair use this to get just a little bit more like texture, which is cute too, so we're just gon na test it to see if it works for any of those purposes alrighty. So you definitely have to do it with the teeth side down. Huh, it's like pushing your hair up and out as it's doing it. Okay, that's still not super zigzaggy, though it is still blinking. I mean this is still wood. That is a lot more voluminous than when you started. She only pushes the hair out. If you don't move it, oh there we go there, it is she just wasn't warming up. It takes a long time to warm up. Does it work yeah? When will I use it? I don't know you have zigzag hair Wow. What happened to the not doing unnecessary heat on my hair? Well, this happened for those of you guys who are creating this extra on yourself, yeah yeah, I'm gon na braid this section up here. It would fill out a braid so nicely alright, so we've got all that. It looks like a normal braid yeah, but then the hair, once you start pulling it out, just has a lot more umph to it. So you can get it just so big yeah Wow. So that's a trick that, like instagramers hairstylist, whatever use all the time, I do think it's good to do it like in the interior sections all of the outside be a little bit more whenever the texture that you've, given yourself that day is but yeah, you can Make a big ol braid: this was like $ 60, not even bad, and it is that Sally, so you can definitely find it on sale. It feels so cool, alright. Well, that was really good and really easy to use out of all of the crazy hot tools that I've tried in the past year. This is the easiest to use straight out of the box. I would agree with that. Now it's really nice and you'd only use it for specific hairstyles yeah. But you know, if you fit in that realm, then it's great it works. Super well, would absolutely recommend what a days this has been fully cows. We started out on the lowest note and then steadily got better. I'M glad I don't think I could have handled many more things going wrong after this extension. Oh, that was bad worst of the video, the extensions yes, I will never buy from that brand again. I do not recommend best of the video yeah yeah yeah. Well then cuz, you already did the hair tie, I'm gon na say the mascara gel, because I really did not think that was gon na work. I was not surprising that was like the most surprising award because superlatives, yes, I would say the crimper was the most revolutionary award because it changes the hair, crimping game and it's easy to use all in all he's a pretty good video yeah. I was really concerned after that first 100, not gon na go. That was bad Wow yeah that might have been the worst one in this whole product trial. History yeah tell me, but in the comments below what has been your worst purchase ever, especially if it's in the hair or beauty category, I would love to know.
