Hello, everyone and welcome back to my channel today, I'm showing you how to make these super cute hair. Scarfs I've seen these everywhere. I'M gon na show you how to make the scrunchie part, and then the tails is what I'm gon na call them anyway, they're so fun and very easy to whip up. I made like 10 for my daughters a few days ago, and it really only took me like 15 minutes anyway. Let'S get started okay, so what you're going to need is two pieces of material and an elastic. The first piece of material is six inches wide by 24 inches long. The next one is three and a half inches wide by eighteen, inches long and then, like I said, just some elastic. I cut the elastic at 8 inches so you're, going to take the big piece of fabric you're, going to fold it in half and then you're going to fold it in half again. Okay, then you're gon na cut out the shape you want. I'M just eyeballing it, but you could draw it. You'Re gon na go down to the point up and around and then kind of go up a little tiny bit. So I'm gon na start over here on the folded edge, I'm gon na cut down and then I'm going to turn the scissors and go up almost to the very top of the material and then I'm going to go back down to the point. So it looks like this then you're gon na unfold, your shape. So that's what mine looks like I'm gon na fold it in half and then I'm gon na fold, my other piece in half and then I'm gon na, take it to the sewing machine and you're gon na sew up and around the loop or the curve. Whatever you want to call it, but you're gon na leave a gap right there in the middle so that you can turn it and then you're just going to take the other piece and sew straight along the long side and leave the two ends open. So this is what it looks like when you have sewn it. I still have a couple strings from where I left it open, so I'm going to cut those strings off and then I'm going to flip each side right side out and just because I know I'm gon na get asked. I got this fabric from girl, charlie dot-com. This is not sponsored, that's where I buy most of my Nets. I like making head scarfs with knits, because the tails of it fall perfectly and they're, not too stiff they're kind of flimsy. I don't know. I just think that it looks so great that way. So now I'm taking my elastic and I'm going to thread it through the tube. I am just using like headband elastic that I would put on like flowers or something because I could not find my regular regular elastic. You could buy elastic from Walmart or any headband shop that sells headband supplies, that's what I'm using okay! So now I've got it threaded through I'm gon na put the two ends together. I'M gon na go over to the sewing machine and I am going to sew those ends together. So there is no way that they can come undone. Okay, so, as you can see, I sewed it back and forth. I backstitch quite a few times just back and forth, getting it perfect so that it will stay in place and it won't come undone now I'm gon na close off the scrunchie, so I'm gon na kind of pull the fabric all the way around. I'M going to take one side and fold it in kind of creating. Like I don't know it just makes it look better a seal. I was gon na say a loop, I don't know anyway, then I'm gon na tuck the other end up over it and make sure that it still folded in so that you don't see the raw edges and then I'm gon na take it over to the sewing Machine and I'm just gon na sew right back on top of it right there, and that is where we're gon na tie the scarf part onto it. So you won't even be able to see it. So I'm gon na sew right there, then I'm gon na take the scarf part and I'm going to sew the middle shut and again we're gon na tie it right there. So you won't be able to see that okay, so I have got them all sewn. It'S shut, so it won't come undone and I sewed the tail shut as well. So now we just need to tie it on to the scrunchie. You could also just tie the tail part around your hair. You don't have to use the scrunchie. I just like the look of the scrunchie and the tail, but you could do whatever you want anyway. I'M just gon na tie a knot. I like to tie double knots and I'm tying the knot right over where I sewed it shut. So you won't be able to see that at all anyway, that is it for this tutorial. I love these. I think they turned out so cute and they look very cute in your hair. I wish my daughter was home so that I could film it in her hair, so you could see, but anyway there we go. I really hope you like this tutorial. If you did, please give it a thumbs up. Also, please share it on Facebook or Instagram or wherever that really helps me out if you're new, please consider subscribing.
