How To Make Feather Hair Ties And Clips

Okay, so I'm gon na make a video showing you how to make feather. I really don't even they're, not really they're, not headbands or like Heather hair ties, kind of that you let like just dangle in your hair. I'M gon na show you guys how to make they're really easy to make so yeah, I'm gon na try and figure out a way to show you well see how ready my counter is. Don'T really know how I'm gon na just make it and show you guys. Alright, the first thing I'm not show you, the materials you're gon na need this suede cord. I bought all of this stuff at Michaels. So so just any craft store, you're gon na need um suede cord. Whatever color, you prefer a you know decent amount of feathers, you're gon na want. This is my other pair of scissors feathers and then I got beads in here and then like wears a wooden bead. I made a bunch of these recently, so I'm kind of out of materials. Okay, so like wouldn't leave like this, I had a rosary that broke so um, so just beads, and that's all folks. First thing I do is take hers and measure it your hair length. I mean what, if you have long hair and you're, not gon na, want a really long one if you're shorter, so I do it a little bit longer than my hair. Just cuz you're gon na need room to tie it so I'll cut it. It'S my hair, like how I get these into my hair, is like a little knot around my hair and then, when I'm ready, I just slide it out or untie it. It'S the easiest way to me and then you decide like what feather pattern you want. I really like the stripes others, but kind of out of feathers. They have a lot of cool websites that have like all kinds of really cool feathers, so I think one day I'm gon na order off of there and just make up okay. So, for the sake of being quick, I'm just gon na make a poly an ugly pattern. So I'm taking a white one like this burnt orange colored one and a dark brown one or you can use as many feathers as you want. Whatever kind of array, what it's different sizes, whatever you wan na, do it's just how I'm doing it so first, I'm gon na do is like strip the top of the feathers, because they have all these little fuzzies on them that make it kind of hard hi. So I just strip off the little tops as much as I can. I have to drag your nail across the top and don't pull right out. Okay, so line them up the way you're gon na want him, and then what I do is tie this suede cord. Like around the feather stems, and just a little not like it's a little loop do not on top and you're gon na be like well. How am I supposed to get that in my hair and look straight? This is the trick, so you take your wherever they are. I usually use about like three to four beads and since these beads aren't always so big enough to get on the cord, I usually just my my in there and just haul one out a little bit drop it on the cord and then I'll show you what I'M gon na do with these. I get another one. You need to put enough feathers in to cover the I mean enough beads to cover the top of these, the feathers because it just doesn't. Let you all right all right. We got one more so just hollow out a little bit. I just stick them in there and just twist the bead around it all right now. I bet you all three of them on the cord didn't go on all right, I'm just trying to make this quick. It'S really once you get the idea, it's not that hard! Okay, there, you got all three beads on there, and so what you're gon na do is take your feathers and like line them up and then just slide the bead over the stem of the feather. You see what I did and then you take the other one. Okay and then now you got all three of them over the little cord and then you can just cut that little extra off. This isn't like mad mega professional way to make them. But this is the way I make them, so I don't want to pay over to money. For you know, I mean like because I see a lot of cute ones and then I just but I just want to pay like 15 bucks for feathers and some you know I mean and with more practice you can figure out how to make really cool ones. You know I mean with different colored feathers. This is just what I have okay, so now that you got the beads on there. You'Re just gon na want to tie a knot over the beads, so they don't fall down, see! That'S all you do so now. You got your little feather things and you can bobby put it in your hair. You can tie it in your hair. You can braid it in your hair. You can um before I started, like tying it into my hair. I used to take um like this clip in take the clip in these. These are these I'm not cute. Okay, so you open it up, open it up and then slip the leather through the little opening underneath like underneath right there like you just. I can't do it because these are really old, but if you can slip through and then season your hair really good too. But yes, I mean they're really really easy to make. You can make em all kinds of sizes and colors and shapes. I made him for my friend one time made her too and then she tied them on to old earrings like earring. Backside will have the earring backs, because I don't have my hair Spears, but you can tie them on the earring backs or you know you can make earrings out of em became a key chains out of them. I just really like feathers and stuff so yeah. There'S your simple little feather hairdo dad. This is helpful. Everybody have a wonderful day.
