Hey guys welcome to stair explains at all. My name is Sarah, and for today's video, I'm gon na show you how to put your hair in a ponytail. With only one hand, why do you need to know how to do this? You ask well what happens if one day you fall out of bed and you break your arm, what happens if suddenly you get knocked up and you've got a baby on your hip all the time you need to know this, let's say: you're a dude and you're, Like well, I don't even know how to put my hair in a ponytail with one hand. What happens if you have the daughter and one day your wife is off working because you're, a stay-at-home dad and you're watching TV and you've got your shows that are on. You want to be able to turn the channel with the remote. But your daughter's over here saying daddy. I want you to film a turn. Ponytail you're, like I say no but you're, also not going to put down the remote, so you're gon na need to know how to put her hair into a ponytail with only one hand. I promise you, you will need to know this one day if you're interested in learning, how to put your hair in a ponytail, using only one hand, then keep watching. You need the following things. In order to accomplish this hairstyle you need hair, you need a hand, need an elastic hair tie. It needs to be of the stretchy sort or you're going to be very upset when you snap it so make sure you get a good elastic. This is from Target. I love in targets, of course, it's from there, but you can get them anywhere. This sells hair stuff. You also need a shoulder and a desire to put your hair in a ponytail. If you have those things - and you can do this, take it away editing! Sarah! Okay, sorry that I'm a giant nerd, the first thing you're going to do is you're going to take your ponytail holder and you're going to put around all of your fingers. You'Ll then put your thumb on one side of your hair and then the other four fingers are going to go over top of your hair, your shoulder you're going to use to push your hair towards your thumb. What this does is it makes it easier for you to grab hold of all of your hair okay, so your thumb is underneath your hair and you're going to use your index finger to push down on the ponytail holder and, while you're pushing down on the ponytail Holder you're pushing your thumb upwards and what this does is it pushes the hair, through the ponytail holder, now re-watch this times that you can really see what I'm doing, but I'm just using my thumb to push up on the hair and my index finger to push Down on the ponytail holder, then you swing all of your hair over to one side and you hold it in place with your shoulder and that allows you to use your hand to twist on the hair tie and then pull the hair through the ponytail holder. And then you just do the same thing of pushing up with your thumb and down with your index finger. I wanted you to see this from another angle as well so over here. You can see that I'm using my shoulder to push on my hair, push it towards my thumb and then I'm using my four fingers to grab hold of my hair and then I'm using my index finger to push down on the ponytail holder and my thumb to Push up on the hair, that's a whole lot of words, but watch it a few times. It really will make sense and you'll understand why it's so simple after you've seen it a few times. But your shoulder really is going to be your best friend here, because you're going to use it as like. Essentially your other hand, because you're using it to hold on to the hair, which is just as easy as if you were to have another hand to hold on to your hair. I mean I guess I can't really say that it's easier because I've never had another hand, so I have no idea what you use it for, but basically all that is to say that it's super simple. You will loop, the ponytail holder around your hair as many times as you need to, depending on how thick your hair is a my ears pretty thick. So I think I did it two times. Maybe and then I just tighten it, and I pull some hairs down from around my face to make it look a little bit better and not as clean, because who wants things to look perfect perfection is lame, see that took like 30 seconds. That'S it for today's video.
