Hey y'all welcome back to my channel in today's video. I am going to be showing you all this drawstring ponytail hairstyle that i quickly came up with for work this following week. As you all can see, my hair was looking real dusty, but i'm starting off with blown out hair, and i did go ahead and oil. My scalp with some wild hair growth, hair oil, because i knew that i was going to be using lots of gel today. Today and i'm just sectioning off a section on the side for the braid that you all saw in the thumbnail and i'm just going to section off this side piece here so that i can save it for when i am going to slit that back now. The gel that i am using today is this eco styler gel, and what i have found that when you do ponytails, it is always best to work in sections so that you can make sure that it is flat as possible, and i am not being shabby or Shy when it comes to applying this gel, i am rubbing it on smoothing it in and making sure i don't forget the nape and then i'm also going to go in with my wet brush. I do not own any hard bristle brushes besides my edge brush, so i'm using this wet brush to go through the hair, make sure it's smooth make sure. There'S no tangles and it got me the slickest ponytail possible and then i'm just going to secure that section. With a ponytail piece until we can get the rest of the hair slit back for this hairstyle, i will only be using one hair piece to hold my hair together for the base of the ponytail. Once our ponytail is formed. We are going to move over to this front section over here where our braid is going to go. I am detangling this section and starting off at the ends, as you all can see, i am being as gentle as possible because most of you already know i am super tender headed, so nobody has time for that unnecessary pain, i'm adding more eco styler gel to The perimeter, and also somewhat down the length of the hair as i brush it out, and this is just going to make sure that you don't have to redo the braid throughout the week. This hairstyle actually lasts me a full seven days. I only took took it down because it was itching a little bit, but it could have went longer and yeah, i'm just going to put a braid right here and i'll. Let you all see that uh. So i do finish off the braid by twisting, and this just makes for easier, take down process and i'm not struggling to take down the braid. And then i like to go back and clean up my flyaways that i kind of have caused, as i was doing, the braid and just making sure that everything is sleet and as neat as possible. And then i am going to take these styling strips. That helps with the drying process and i'm going to tie two of these around the perimeter of my hair, making sure that i especially get the braid, because my hair is at this awkward limb stage instead of braiding or twisting this ponytail. I just decided to do the banding method on this ponytail to make sure that my hair is all together and it won't cause any unnecessary tangles in the ponytail and now i'm going to add my satin scarf and sit under the dryer for at least 30 minutes. So that the hair can set now once i am up from under the dryer, i am going to go ahead and start styling, the ponytail as you all can see it has two combs and also a drawstring for the curls. I am using this texture id foam. Styling lotion that i have been using a lot lately to help get those curls defined and i'm using my wet brush to further define the curls and make sure that the product is spread evenly throughout the hair. Now that that is done, we can go ahead and move to the next step of actually applying the ponytail to our hair. Now, as you all can see, sitting up under the dryer does give you more of a firm hold, but if you do not want to use any heat at all, you can just tie your hair really well, but it will take longer to dry and, as you All can see i'm just adding another ponytail piece to put my hair in a little ball, and my hair is surprisingly all together and now i am just putting one comb on top of the bun and then one right up under it. Now, once i have those combs secure, i'm then going to get the drawstring and hold my um hands in a way that the ponytail doesn't move and then i'm going to tighten the ponytail as tight as possible, but not too tight that it is uncomfortable. I did not take this ponytail off at all within seven days, so i knew that i did not want to cause any tension or pain for myself and once i have the ponytail secured i'm going to pin that drawstring up under the ponytail, so that it is Not seen and to cover up that line of demarcation, i am going to gather some of the hair from the ponytail wrap it around and pin it as well. Now i will admit that i probably could have gathered more um hair to do this part, but it still worked for me out in the end. And finally, we are going to pin our braid on the side as well, so that it is not seen and that it appears to be in the ponytail as well. And here is the final look, you guys. I really really fell in love with this hairstyle and can totally admit that it will be one that i will be putting in full rotation. I just love how it looks so natural and it looks like it is my hair because it matches really well. I hope you all enjoyed the video and, as always, i can't wait to see you all in the next one see ya.

Debbie Randall: Very cute what is name of Drawstring ponytail

DeAysha Simmons: How is this ponytail holding up?

Coolcalm: My ponytail was scanty. How many inches is the one in the video?

TressMe TressMe: I wish had spent more time talking about & showing the ponytail itself. A detailed description of the ponytail would have been awesome, not really interested in your natural hair styling, after all every woman's natural hair is different anyway. Though the ponytail is on Amazon the description is no where as good than an actual consumer who has the product right in their hands, or on their head.... thank God for Prime, it can always be returned if doesn't work-out..... thanks for sharing tho. Peace & Blessings
