#52 - Wig Review: Meet Outré "Afro Large" Ponytail

My review of the "Afro Large" Ponytail by Outré: I love this afro puff, y'all! I audition with it on and even wore it when I worked on the season 2 premiere of "Jane The Virgin."

(accidentally wrote "Freetress" in the description, but it's Outré)

The review starts at 2:52.

Me um, this will be short and sweet because I just got back in from an audition, and since I look today for my audition, this is my my no makeup makeup. Look because sometimes they'll say no makeup, but unless it's a really gritty TV show or a feature film, or something like that, if it's a commercial or if it's a comedy, they are going to put makeup on you. I mean like, unless it's a really really gritty project. They'Re gon na put some makeup on you, so I figure why not? You know, cut to the chase and show everyone what I can look like when they, when they just put minimal makeup on me. I am also wearing the Loutre, a ponytail afro large. I think they have three different sizes of this, I'm wearing it in the color one because it matches matches my hair. Let me ask you this: before this review gets underway. I ran into two actresses that I know when you audition you are tight basically and when they need your type, they call in every of the actresses of that type. Sometimes it's fewer, sometimes there's a lot more, but I saw two actresses that I see frequently at auditions and both of them complimented my hair today and I said thank you of course, but then I added I bought it and I do. I am a witness. That'S something a little tacky, but but it's real, I did buy it and I got no problem with anybody. Knowing that I bought it - or I wouldn't be doing reviews on here that I bought so um. How do you feel about that? I feel I feel weird passing off a store-bought, Hey her as my own two people that I know you know I mean like one of them was once it oh. I know then the other one said: what does she say? Oh, I wouldn't know it looks just like your hair and that's why I bought it for auditions, because then I don't have to do things to my hair. How do you feel about that like when people say? Oh, I, like your hair, and you know you got on a wig, a weave of you. Don'T will fall a ponytail whatever else it is um. Do you tell? Is it a big deal? Are you hiding? Is it just none of their business? So you don't say anything: how do you handle that? Alright, let's get on with this wig review all right. We got the Loutre timeless premium. Multi blend it's synthetic ponytail, afro large in the color one - and this is what the packaging looks like a little card and it came in this square package. Nothing too big some of these packages. They get a little outlandish a gigantic, and then thankfully I don't generally have to pay for shipping, because I do things through Amazon or websites that offer free shipping. If you, you spend a certain amount, and I really try to do that - cuz it hurts my heart to spend money for shipping. I got this thing pinned honey. It is not. It was not gon na be falling off during my to politician, but here now can't get the friggin thing out of my head, my tangled own, all tangled okay. Here we go, can you see it? Can you see it? That'S what it looks like it's a puff. A curly puff, it's got a comb in in the top, a comb at the bottom near the tag. I suppose you could wear it side to side. It doesn't make any difference because it's like perfectly round so it's got two combs and it has a drawstring if it comes a lot longer than this. But I because I've had too many situations where I've left the drawstring hanging out and didn't discover it too. Like I don't nobody told me that I had a string hanging from the back of my head so to avoid those kind of accidents I usually cut. It short and but I do use it, I know a lot of people just cut it out all together, but I use it because I want to tighten it on there not too much because you don't want to damage your own hair or your scalp so yeah. This is what it is and um I really like it. It'S versatile I've worked in it before I shot an episode of Jane the version in it. It was episode 1 of season 2. So if you see me and I'm only in that for a little bit, if you see me, I got miss afro large um, um yeah, I highly recommend it. You know if it if it, if your textures anything close to this, I like it, I like it a lot. I wear it a lot, it's just easy, so I just pull my own hair back here I got a headband on. I didn't really need the headband. I just doing something you know um, my hair is back in a bun and I just stuck that on put the comb in here here. Let me do it for you right now. I would put a link to this product and tell you how much it costs, because I can't remember right now what I pay for it. Yeah put it on. It'S me easy and then I didn't pull the drawstring because I'm taking back off so I can go to the gym but easy breezy. So I highly highly highly recommend it. It is synthetic, but it doesn't look synthetic it doesn't. You know. I don't like that. That shiny hair, this this thing keeps getting tangled in my hairs because I bought some cheap bobby pins from Dollar Tree. I will not do that again, because these things snag I'm all in the trash. Because again I can't be ripping my hair out behind cheap products. Yeah, it looks like hair look, I have when I first bought it. I added like I would spray it with a little oil sheen, but I haven't done that in a while and it's just fine, I mean it's, not it's not real hair. So is not going to get any drier than it does in it. This is what it is think it's like plastic fibers or something like that, but it looks like hair. It'S not that that shiny plastic key doll, hair looking thing it looks like her all right. I guess I could you know what okay, you know, what this video is going, rogue again, I'm going to stop it before it does. I will put all of the information regarding like where it bought it and how much it costs in the box below this video. Thank you so much for watching and I am

TheIrishOne7💚: I love that look! Very natural looking! Looking forward to getting one soon.

TARA MARION: You're too adorable.  The hair looked so good on you.  Thanks for the review.  I wish you much success in your career.

Sidewalkqueen: I feel you. I bought a k curl wig from especially yours and "no one" knows it's not my hair. They comment how much it has grown and how nice it looks. But I tell them it's a wig and they just can't believe it. I feel dishonest not saying it's a wig. The deception weighs on me so I tell them. Go figure.

Cynthia Farlow: Thanks for the great review! Just ordered this while I was watching. She'll be here in a few days!

Jackie Gray: I often have this problem because i prefer natural natural wigs and it is awkward especially if they start asking what products do I use for my hair.Awkward!!!!! Lol but what I do is take it on a case to case basis. It just depends on who is asking me what. Generally I just say Thank you and keep it moving!!!

Ms. Und3rst00d: You have such a bubbly personality! I am going to get a puff as I just did the big chop 1 month ago and looking for versatility, while protecting my natural hair. The headband adds an extra "umph" You look like a queen with the headband. No, I would not tell anyone, unless they are really close because I dont wear wigs, ever! I'm only doing it now for protective purposes and its killing me to have to do so. Once my hair reaches the right lenght I will put the wigs away but for now, might as well enjoy them.

Fly.Sistah: I generally tell people if it's not my natural given hair. It was only awkward once when I was transitioning and an older white female colleague followed me around for over an hour during an out of town meeting and kept making comments about my hair being so nice, different from past styles and different that day. I finally pulled her aside and told her "It's a wig".

chokolatgurl: I do that AAAAAAAAAAALL the time! LOL I will say in a heartbeat: "it'll be back in the bag when I get home" or something equally tacky (LOL) when folks compliment my hair. I have girlfriends that are like, "girl WHY do you do that?" ...and, honestly, I dunno... *shrug* I'm not ashamed that I wear wigs and I just don't feel the need to be less than transparent. Shoot, they might wanna go get some hurr too LOL.

Sis M: Love that hairpiece! Looks too cute!

Black Pudding: Hey Sista... I wish you much success in your Acting Career. I always tell people "Its a Wig" when they compliment me on my hair styles. I just ordered this Puff. Thanks!

Gail Talley: They know mine is a wig, I change to match my outfits every day

tia carr: I love telling ppl I have a wig on. They can never tell. I make sure all my wigs mimic mines.

Vitazza Za: I generally figure its not their business I just Smile and say Thank You. BUT if I see the person often enough I will tell them its blah blah with a grin because I want to share the good news

Bernees Wayy: Looks amazing, tf the review♥

Gail Talley: This popped up and I thought it was new. Too funny about the string hanging good idea to cut it I just wrap it around.

Soul Flower: Your hair looks beautiful!!!

mzbrazell: I wear all types of wigs everyday and get compliments all the time. I don't hesitate to let folk know how much my 'doo' costs, just to see their mouths drop open in disbelief! Lol. Most of my 'hur' is very natural looking and the the ones that aren't then I don't care as long as I know it looks good . No, It doesn't make any difference to me that folks know I embrace my wigs.

NoLyeNapturallyMe: I very excitedly say, it's not real! Mainly because I'm new to wearing wigs or crochets and I'm so amazed that it looks nice or came out nice that I'm bursting to share the news! I've been told several times that I should not let folks know it isn't real. I'm not sure why that is.

Adee: I've actually gotten a little uncomfortable with all this lemme do this and that and that to make this look natural when it's just not, you know? Like I know I'm gonna take it off in a couple weeks so aint nobody fooled

heavenly 15: Girl you better learn to live fearless and not giva damn what people think or you are neva gonna be happy.

Bilovesi: Am exactly the same, I tell them that I bought it...

K Collins: is it medium or large

joanna gonzales: You look great.

Miss desire Independance: Tell them it’s yours!!

Jamie Brown: The ponytail looks like a small not a large

Taye Janae: You talk too much geesh
