Afro Kinky Drawstring Ponytail Review | Luvme Hair

Okay, y'all, i'm gon na, be honest. This video ain't go the way i thought it was gon na go um. I definitely tried to do a high ponytail because i wanted to do a puff and i want to show you guys different bun styles, like i've been seeing on youtube and yeah. I could not mow my hair up like it was going and then, as soon as i put the ponytail holder on it all the hair, like my hair's just short and like i know that i could probably get it up in a higher ponytail. I just got to do a lot of separating and molding with gel and edge control, and i ain't gon na lie. I ain't feel like doing all that, so i ended up just slicking it back into a low bun. Now the thing the problem is, i watched my hair, so this freshly washed was wet and i have low porosity hair, so it takes forever for my hair to dry. I even have to put some got7 spray on top just to try to you know, speed up the process so that i can come back and show you guys this ponytail, but y'all. It'S just really not giving what it's supposed to gave like i'm just annoyed. So, anyway, what i'm going to do is show you guys how i do install the ponytail and how i do my baby hairs and edges so stay tuned for that. Okay, so i got this ponytail from love me hair and i actually got it with my own money. It took about three or four days to come and yeah, so you get the ponytail, of course, and you get the little bag full of goodies that they always give as well as wig caps. So i love that they still give you these things. Even if you don't get a wig, but it's pretty dope, so in the back of goodies, of course, you get a edge wrap. That says, love me hair, and this is just so. You can tie down your edges. You get an elastic band for your wigs. You get tweezers ash, brushes and bobby pins, which i definitely needed everything in there as well as the love me pen. Okay, take this off. Hopefully it's dry, kinda, okay, so one thing i do like about this ponytail. Of course it is a afro kinky ponytail. It is 16 inches, i kind of want to spray it and comb it out a little bit just because it's like really defined. Let me use this wide tooth comb just to like fluff it out, make it look a little fuller. I didn't mean to uh. Put the bottle in the frame but yeah so now that it's like poofier, it does have a comb and then, of course we have this velcro part, so i'm gon na put it at the back of my hair in my little bitty bun, i'm just happy my Hair is long enough to even put in a bun, because y'all saw when i bit chopped y'all, so i've done this very crow. So this is a little piece that i have and i'm just gon na wrap it around, and i already can tell that. I'M probably gon na have to do another piece as well, so i'm going to take like a small piece like this big and wrap it around just to secure it and hide the velcro, because i can already tell that it is not going to stay. So i'm going to go ahead and add some bobby pins, just because my ponytail is so small granted. I should probably turn around so you guys can see but hold on. Give me a stick. Okay, so i'm gon na turn around actually because, okay, so anyways. Let me add some more bobby pins to it and then i'm gon na add like two more. Hopefully it looks okay because i won't be able to see until i um edit it edit this video, but this is the ponytail. So i know like this looks amazed. So let me go ahead and comb out my edges. Oh yeah see it's already hard. I love that, so i'm just gon na keep it simple, because i don't know how to do all the swirls and stuff like i've. Just never done that. I mean. I guess i can try for the sake of the video. Also, i don't like a lot of product on my edges anyway, because this is where my scalp psoriasis is, and so i'm not the type that's gon na, like flat iron, my edges and all this stuff like i got time so i'm going to use this our Connie or candy or ciao - i don't know this is some. This is like. I think this is like the little viral edge control. That is supposed to be. It'S like the rub challenge, and so it's supposed to be long-lasting and once you put it on, you put the rubber edges and they not move. So my grandma gave me this. She like lives by it, but she also has like thin hair. So it worked on her, but it don't work on me. So i'm just gon na you know salute those baby hairs shout out to my edges, child, and you know what i went through a phase where not that my edges were like getting thin or anything but like i like legit um, like a lot of people, i Feel, like i've been like losing their edges because of these wigs and y'all know what kept my edges headband wigs like. I literally stopped wearing a like lace, wig like lace, front, wigs and there's nothing against people who do i just i had to it just wasn't. I didn't want to lose my edges y'all, like i'm just being honest, i didn't want to lose my edges and yeah. Could they be thicker, of course, like a part of me kind, though kind of wants to get like my my black edge control and try to like finesse them and make them look kind of like darker, but this is cool too. These are my edges, and this is really it like, of course, like. I could always like do like a cute. Bun that'd be cute, but i think i'm just gon na leave it like this. In this ponytail and, like i said only thing i used to slick my hair down was this eco, styler and water and um. I think i showed you guys earlier in the video. I don't know if i'm going to put it in or not just depending on how it looks. I was looking crazy, but i did moisturize my hair with this oil moisturizer y'all. Never like that pink lotion. We used to wear back in the day. I'M trying to go back to basics like y'all, i use i don't even use like all these natural hair products, like i use homemade grease like i'm really trying to grow my hair and my hair has grown so much since i've been chopped and like you saw Like my shrinkage in the beginning, but like my hair has grown a lot, so this is basically how i'm probably going to wear my hair for the next couple of days. I'M going to go ahead and put i want to put my with my do-rag back on. Probably or i might put on my scarf instead because my new egg is kind of wet cause like you know, i got low porosity here. Oh wait. I got ta, take pictures first, but yeah. So this is basically it. This is my sleek ponytail. Then i'm probably gon na be rocking for a couple of days. I wouldn't thank you guys for watching.
