Better Length Afro Kinky Curly Drawstring Ponytail Bun Tutorial | Natural Hair

Hi guys it's Channing here today, I'm coming through with a brand new video, and I will be sharing this drawstring ponytail with you guys by the company better length. I'M sure you guys are familiar with them. When I showed you guys the clip ends and I'm gon na show you the little satin bag they also sent. It'S afro kinky curly, it's 16 inches it retails for 109, 90. Okay, you guys see that it has the two combs on the inside and you just see the structure of it with the string makes it totally easy for you guys to apply, pull that string and you're done so I'll, be showing you guys how to do a Bun, okay and guys: not only is this 100 % virgin human hair, but it can be dyed washed in style. Just as you do your own, I want to show you guys it's stretched. So that's when you get the actual link. So therefore it is prone to shrinkage. We have four different textures kinky course. Four blowout looks kinky curly, afro, kinky, curly and afro kinky coily, so yeah definitely check out their website and we're gon na go ahead and get into this hair tutorial so come on. So guys I started off with a wash and go because I wanted this bun to not only be realistic, but I wanted it to have a texture to look to it. So I'm gon na pull it up into a loose bun. You want to sleek the areas that I would like sleep, but I'm gon na make sure not to completely get rid of my wave pattern or the curls, and I'm just gon na pull down a few pieces. In order to accomplish the look that I'm going for her and guys you can use whatever Jo you like, my gel choice is still my eco styling gel. So that's what I'm applying now that my hair is secured, I'm airing it I'm not quite filling it. Of course, so I'm going to begin by putting my hair into the tiniest bun that I can possibly get it into, because I want to be able to easily just place this drawstring ponytail well that netted area just place it. On top of my bun pull the string and for it to just be seamless and to really attach itself to my bun, if that makes any sense, you see the way that it's made. So I'm going to start by adding the comb. I tried to add the comb in the back first, but it didn't quite work out. So I'm going to place the comb in the front yeah, that's it and then I'll add the calm in the back and then I'll grab the string and we're gon na pull that pull it as tightly as we can possibly get it. Then I'm gon na take that string and I'm just gon na wrap it around the base of the ponytail just to get rid of it. We don't want it hanging. At this point, I grab a section of hair from the back a small section, and I wrap that around the base as well, because, I didn't add any type of bobby pins or anything to the drawstring. I was afraid it might, you know unravel, so I made sure that it was stay in place using this hair. It definitely did it worked, and now we have our ponytail. What is kinky curly hair without hydration, exactly we're gon na add our water, I'm gon na go through and I'm going to, I'm not gon na soak it, but I'm pretty much gon na add some water and just kind of work it through. So we can get those curls poppin. Hopefully you guys can see the difference in how the hair looked prior and you know how it looks now. It just really makes the curls so beautiful and I'm just finger detangling, I'm not using anything to disrupt the curls. Just want it to add a little hydration by the way I thought this was such a cute style. It was so cute loved it. No I'm just framing my face adding my baby hairs, we're going to begin our bun by grabbing a section from our right side. We'Re gon na make it pretty thick too, and we're going to wrap this section around the base of our whole entire ponytail and then we're going to pin in it to keep it in place. My camera went out of focus, but I repeated that same exact step. Only higher as I wrap the hair around I took it up higher and now I'm pinning it - and here I will separate the hair into two different sections - now begin to kind of wrap it diagonally. You see that the way that I just do that it kind of reminds me the way that I would style my marley braiding hair. So I took one section and I wrapped it across the front and like a diagonal swoop motion and then I'm going to do that same exact thing to the hair in the back. But for the back section. So you take them basically to opposite sides. And you end up with a bun, that's kind of in a swirl. I'M sure you guys are familiar with the different types of punks. So now I'm just going through and adding some gel. Basically, touching up my little pieces, my little curly pieces that I left hanging out. I think that's really pulls the look together. It'S just so cute under bullying. It'S like you're not going for an overly neat look, but it's still really cute and elegant and I'm very careful on my sides, because I have very fine hair on the sides. So I had it very little too and I just think it turned out so cute. You know the baby hairs I had the bun, then I added the additional pieces hanging. I could just see this with a maxi dress standing out in the Sun. It'S just that cute, but I look is complete guys. I have one last question, so how well did I do? Is it convincing? Could you tell that this was a drawstring ponytail? I don't know about you guys, but I could not tell I think it is so beautiful. I just love it. Oh yeah guys. Thank you.
