Basic Draw String Ponytail Tutorial

Hello, I'm so glad that you found my channel. My name is Tammy. I have a channel here on YouTube. I Tam Tam slam slam reviews and it's just a variety of everything. That'S right! A variety of everything I can do a lot of reviews and talk about my opinion about things. Well, if you have found this channel as well today, you have found a video that I'm going to do to help you learn how to do a basic install of a ponytail. That'S right, a basic install of a ponytail. Now I know many of you sisters are already experienced that went on children but believe it or not, there are some who do not know how to do a basic install of a ponytail. Let me show you what I do. This does not mean that this is the right way to do it for the wrong way, but this is my way, and maybe you can get some pointers off of this okay. The ponytail I'm gon na use today is going to be called des Lily. It is a very economical product by solution of quality is called des Lily. I decided to use this small little ponytail because it was very economical. It was on sale, $ 7.99 cuz on sale for $ 7.99. Oh yeah that sign up a Saturday hairdo. So what we're going to do is I'm going to show you this hair ponytails? What I love about a mere so versatile, you can play them up or you can play them down. You can dress them up and you can dress them down. So this money town here has Lynette over it, and I chose this particular style because look how wavy is look at the wave pattern of it. Beautiful, isn't it it is gorgeous, but you have to understand when you're using these economical, I don't like to say cheap, but when you're using these economical ponytails, they tend to not up. So I know that I could probably get about five to six squares out of this. If you treat it with respect, dignity and care, you can get quite a few wares out of this. So what we're going to do today is we're going to just unwrap it from its packaging. Well, this ponytail is a drawstring ponytail. It has a rubberized cord with a stopper so that you can either tighten it or loosen it. Up comes with a little paper on the inside and it is a small hole. Some of them have a little bigger hole, but this is where we're going to put our ponytail in okay over our own camp. Now I am natural, I'm a natural sister. Okay, so you guys are sick. I ain't got the greatest greater hair, but this is for anybody good, hair, bad hair on here any hair, it's just for any yeah, okay cuz. What we're gon na do is in camouflage in any way. So I am going to show you the tags one more time, so this may be something that you can find at your local beauty. Supply store, bye, sweetie. It is called Dias Lily. I bought a number two because my hair is not quite black. It'S not a 1b because it's summertime. When the Sun hits my hair, you can see a brownish tint and that's what I bought in this SOI can match my hair as close as possible. All right now, the gel that I like to use usually is hoo-hoo and pro style, Jill, honey and pro will hold a freight train in place. Okay, and what I like about em Pro is no. This is my disclaimer. I am NOT getting paid for this in no way shape or form, but this is a product that I've used and what I like originally like what I was saying. I like air pro and pro and pro because it does not contain any alcohol air pro has a lot of different ingredients in it. But alcohol is not one of them. You do not want to use alcohol in any of your products on your hair. If you're trying to go natural and grow in your hair and I'm trying to grow my hair, so I'm just gon na kind of take it down. This is my natural hair, so you guys can see what oh, so you guys can see what a sisters working with you know. I got pretty thin hair, but it's coming along. I'Ve been feeding it nourishing it oiliness moisturizing it and it's been doing, is Fang. Okay, so I want to just do a little bit of moisturize. I have here in this bottle: I've mixed water with vegetable glycerin to feed my hair vegetable glycerin is great for your hair. I have a video on that. I probably would attach that video with this tutorial yeah I like to get my hair, nice and moist and because the hair is curly, I am going to do my best to leave a curl pattern in my hair so that it can look as natural as possible. So you just want to work in that moisture in your hair, get your hair, nice and moisturized and get the water in it. You know what ladies african-american and women we run from water, but you know what I here loves with the water. Look at that look. How it curls up the curl definition, that's crazy! I like to do first, I like to detangle my hair and I use a wide tooth comb like so, and I just comb it all the way through to get all the nuts out, because you don't want to put your hair detangled, hair and a ponytail see. I'M gon na come catching it right over here. Out of the net, then get up, don't angle it there we go. I just want to show you guys with any hair any detangling process. You may have some yeah some here, because that's natural hair shedding that happens. It happens to us those because the press, the process of your hair, growing okay, just want to show you how much I really like this stuff. I use am Pro the big goal and I got the little one and fro show you, but I also another one of my favorite gels is the Eco style in jail. I do use eco styler on a lot of my hairdos. I like it, but we're going with the and pro today and prom you met not clouding their host. You stop probably at her be nice to her. My dog is growling at her news and his new sister. I just got a new kitty cat. He is so territorial, he don't want her near me or nothing and I feel bad for cuz. She love him alright. So what I'm going to do, ladies, is we're gon na start the process. Here we go okay, so I take my amp row and I take some gel about a lot of it and what I do is rubbing in my hands. I get it all in my hands and I starts clicking. It starts licking it back. I don't really want to put the gel all the way through my hair. I just want to put it on the outer regions of my hair. Now I'm going to set this ponytail high and one thing I like about this Ambro it curls up my hair. I get a really good curl definition with the AMPRO, the eco styler gel. Does my hair the same way alright, so you want to just smooth those out smoothing out much as you can in an upward motion. I just keep adding jet out as you go along. Always making sure that were laying down those edges, honey got ta, lay down the pan, just what I'm starting to look different already cheering it's amazing. What some here I can do for you, okay! So while I'm doing that, holding it up, I'm gon na use my Denning brush demonym brush or whatever you gon na call it. Let'S stretch my hair on out farther well combing, it upward into a ponytail. Now this is a basic install of a hope of basic ponytail. You guys, I'm gon na take a regular rubber band. Well, not a regular rubber band. A hair rock fan that is surrounded with fabric do not use a regular rubber band that will tear out your hair, use a hair rubber band, something that you can get at a dollar store or a Walgreens CVS or rite-aid hair bands. Cuz. You want to protect your hair from any breakage, so if you're like me, you are trying to grow your hair out. So then I go around them twice. Maybe three times be careful not to pull your hair and then here you go it's into a ponytail right. Okay, so now we have it in a basic ponytail, okay. Now what I want to do - maybe you can see me from the side, and I am going to take my ponytail and I am going to braid this when I pull it down tight to tighten it up. You want to tighten this up. Then I'm going to brush through this, don't pull it very hard, but do apply some pressure to get through it, because what we're going to do is we're going to braid our own hair. Now we're going to use this as a protective style, you guys, okay, so I have it comb through and then I'm going to just twist it I'm going to get it all twist it up. Okay, so I got a wrong twist. It up. That'S my ponytail! Then, what I'm going to also do is I'm going to take another one of the hair bands, I'm going to wrap my own hair around my own ponytail, and I just put it in a ponytail this way, all right so we're all next through her want to Get a brush a very stern, stable brush so that you can brush your ends in any loose hairs, because my hair is not even all the way through, so the androgel really holds your hair together, you may want to use a little bit of spritz just to Insure that your hair will have this ultimate hold now I usually do that too. Now, for the sake of this video, I'm going to just go ahead and put the ponytail on, but an option that you can use to make sure that your ends are staying very firm and not unruly are and what I would do if I were to use A scarf I would, if I were gon na use scarf, I would wrap my hair at night or maybe a few hours before I actually want to go to my destination, and I would wrap it firmly like this and that will hold your hair firmly and then You can put the ponytail, oh here we go now you'll notice, now you'll notice, with the ponytail that I've just shown you. This has a comb on the top and a comb on the bottom after the tags like I said it has a comb on the top and a comb on the bottom, the tag, and then it also has a drawstring. I am going to put the ponytail on with the tag in the bag, not the top, because it will change the direction of your ponytail. You can make you can't turn it the opposite way, but it'll make the ponytail a whole lot shorter, but I'm going to use it with the tag on the bottom and the ponytail at a longer length. So I'm going to take the first column on top and just put that ponytail right here we did I'm going to do the bottom part and put it right in behind the ponytail. Then I'm going to pull that drawstring until it feels secure, and then I'm going to use this drawstring this button here to make it tight, then I'm going to wrap it around wrap it around once wrap it around twice. Then I'm going to use a bobby pin in the middle of this here so in a hole like this and then I'm going to wrap it a third time and stick it right in there into the ponytail where it feels comfortable and it's not pinching my brains And then you're going to just work your ponytail. That way, if you feel the need to take your brush and smooth out your edges in your your natural hands and go ahead and do so and that my friends is the install of a basic ponytail.
