#LocPetals #locstyle #womenwithlocs

Hello, hello, welcome to my channel if you're new here welcome back to my channel if you've been here jumping straight into it, i'm starting off with freshly weed twist hair y'all, i slept in the clips last night. I thought i took a good amount out, but it still was not that fun. I didn't record myself doing my retwist this time, because y'all have seen me do my retwist a lot of times and it's still the same process um but yeah. I retwisted my hair. Last night sat under the dryer for a hot second and then went to beddy bed, so i can wake up in the morning and start to style my hair right away. This is a little update. Y'All can see what it's looking like lengthening nicely thicken it up nicely my kitchen, my bdbs. Now i'm playing i'm very happy with my log progress so far, they're feeling heavier than ever my little color add a little bit of fresh life to them. I'M loving it! I'M loving it getting straight into it. Of course, you'll need some large rubber bands to put your hair into ponytails. Some goody rubber bands y'all do not get these kind. I got these kind on accident they're like the two times stronger one and you're supposed to be able to reuse them. Then things was tearing my fingers up, but i do have confidence that they won't pop, but they don't hurt when you put them on okay, then i have my edge booster edge control, of course, and just to get started. We are gon na put our hair into two separate ponytails. I'Ve done a lock, petal, bun style before just like with the one bun and, of course, that takes a little bit less time because you're just making one ponytail. But what i'm doing right here is just making sure that my roots are kind of laying flat while they go into the ponytail. And i'm doing this super duper slow. Because i don't want to be like putting a bunch of tension on my hair or pulling pieces from the other side into this side, and we want to take our time. So you know our style is looking like. We went to a stylist. Okay, we are the stylist, but we want to finesse. We want people to say who did your hair? You know just you just put your lips together, then i add my rubber band, of course, and i think i only went around two times because if you have thick locks, you know that tenderheadedness is no joke. Okay, we don't need it pulling our scalp out going around two times was perfectly fine for me. You can tighten up the lock if you need it and we was all good. We was good to go after this. Second go-round, you just put your lips together, um. What my hair is looking like with the two ponytails, and if you want to stop right here, you can i'm looking like crazy, spice or scary spice, whichever one it is. But after this i start to begin or begin to start the pedaling process and there's two ways to do it: you can either do a single lock and make that one petal or you can double up on your locks and use two to kind of go faster. This is going to take a long time regardless, but what you're going to do is fold the lock over and i like to make sure that the end of the lock is essentially touching the base of the lock. Then i go ahead and i add that little rubber band and wrap it around a few times just to make sure that my loop is secure. So, basically, what you're doing with each lock or each two locks is making loops around your ponytail until you get the desired look, and i am going forward with the locks right now, but later on, you'll see me going backwards with some for some at the bottom. You'Ll see me more so looking like i'm looping up, because we want to add dimension to our locs to give it that petal. Look that flower! Look. We don't want all of our locks to be going in the same direction, and this is definitely one of those styles that, while you're doing it you're like uh. How is this looking right now, but the more petals that you do, the more loops that you do? It really really starts to come together and then you start to get excited. This is a tedious process. It'S not hard by any means to me it's not hard at all, but it does take a hot hot minute. Okay, this is not sped up. The next portion will be sped up, but this is me doing all this in real time and, as you can see like it, takes me a little bit for some of them. If we mess up, then that's okay. Long as i love you, it's okay after you find your flow, it's a bit easier to go in and make sure that you're just doing your loops correctly. I had on a movie. I was texting in between all that once you get the hang of it, you're like okay, we're with them with it again. I feel, like it looks a little crazy in the beginning, but the more you start to finish the petals, the more it looks like. Oh, my gosh, i have a lock petal bun um. If you have one loop, that's hanging like that and you want to change it. I just add a little bobby pin right there, because i wanted the placement to be a bit different. Another thing with these rubber bands is, like i said, since they were so thick, i feel like they were more noticeable than the smaller rubber bands would be. If you want your lock pedals to have like an invisible holding, you could use clear rubber bands, but it's not that serious to me and this still turned out super duper cute me uh, bye, uh um. At this point i was done with both of my petal buns. I was like hey, we did it. Oh, i had a little bit of fun, angling and finessing to do sometimes when your locks are different sizes, because obviously it's in a ponytail and you're, not all of your locks, will be the same length. You might have to finesse it a little bit or just tuck in those little small, lock pieces that aren't large enough to loop all the way around or just make those a single loop within your bun right now, i'm going around and just like kind of pulling Some apart and fluffing it up, i realized later on that, like this side was not as fluffy as the other side, but honestly no one's gon na point that out besides me, i had to take a deep breath because your girl was tired and then looking back On it, i probably could have just added these two pieces to my ponytails, but i wanted to be a little extra and different, so i did a little two strand twist on either side. This also helps so that my edges aren't getting pulled, and i'm thankful for that uh uh to do bye. My so, of course we got ta. Do our edges, i'm not a super intricate edge person as long as they got a little shroopy whoop i'll, be like hey. I did it, but i did my edges just to add the finishing touch and then i was looking like princess locked, leia. Okay, we have our lock buns. We have our two strand twists hanging down, giving us a little bit of flavor. This hairstyle will definitely get you a lot of compliments like literally every time that i've worn this hairstyle out the house since i've done my hair. I have gotten a compliment: okay, i'm feeling myself my locs look bomb and i hope that y'all try this style out as well. I'Ll see you on the next video bye. You
