Hi guys how's it going. My name is annie faye for those of you. That don't know me for those of you that do hello. Welcome back! Thank you for joining me again for today's video i'm going to be doing a little hair tutorial a few weeks ago. I posted a zara haul and i had my hair up in this little. Like 90s inspired ponytail i've seen this hairstyle so much recently it's become really popular and i am obsessed. I don't really like to wear my hair up that often because you know but um we're gon na put those away, but i do really like how this hairstyle looks even with these bad boys. So i'm going to show you guys how i do it. Um yeah. Let'S get started okay, so the first thing i'm going to do is just section off the part that i want to be like. How do i explain this? You know the little like bang part, i generally like to do it where my brow arches. If that makes sense, and then i take half the head i'd say maybe a little less and then i'm just going to take the front part, because you don't want this part to be too thick either otherwise you're going to have a really hard time pinning it Back so i'm just gon na take a hair tie and tie that you could take a clip as well, but i feel like the hair tie is a little bit more secure. Now, i'm just going to take my hair. Put it up you're going to take just a regular hair brush and just start to brush that up now, i'm just going to take some hairspray. This is the marc anthony hydrating, coconut oil volume hairspray. I really like this hairspray and now i'm just going to take one of these brushes. I don't know what the name is, but like they're like these and i'm going to start smoothing out my hair okay, now for the back. What i actually do is i get up and, like i lean over like this, so that my hair comes to the front and it's not like all over the place i feel like this is just easier. Otherwise, like it's slipping out of my hand, this is a lot easier than like having my arms up in the air for like 10 minutes, i do feel like i need a little bit more hairspray, so i'm just going to do that now to actually tie the Hair, i have two thick bands here, like two thick hair bands and i've attached them just so it's easier for me. I like to use these instead of thin ones like this one, because i feel like it adds it makes my ponytail look thicker and just adds volume, i'm just gon na lean over for that too, because it's just easier. Okay, now i'm just gon na, tighten it a little bit. Does anyone else do this, like the leaning over, i feel like, i honestly feel like it's so much easier, all right, one last time with the hair spray. Now, for this little section here, i'm gon na take it put it behind my ear, i kind of like to strategically like place it across my forehead. The way, i think, looks cute okay and, as you can see, there's still some oh there's still some flyaways. So what i'm going to do is take this edge control and now i'm taking a toothbrush and dipping it in and then i'm just going to smooth that out now, you're just going to take some bobby pins and start pinning your hair back next, i'm going to Take a piece from the bottom of my ponytail about this thick and i'm just gon na start. You know what i'm gon na spray some hairspray on there too, because it's looking a little frizzy and then i'm just gon na wrap this around the hair tie. I'M gon na take a couple more bobby pins just to secure that okay. Another thing i do is i like to have a lot of volume up here, so i'm just gon na tease the hair a little bit, i'm just going to brush it out at the top hairspray again to smooth it. I'M also going to take the edge control and the little toothbrush, and i'm just going to style my baby hairs a little bit if it looks like you're balding like i do for some reason: you're just going to take a dark brown eyeshadow, a little makeup brush And just blend that a little bit, i'm just gon na put earrings on to distract from my ears. Okay, so all i did to my hair was air dry it and if i brush it out, it dries pretty straight so like this. But if you have curly hair - and you want it to be a straighter ponytail, you could just quickly run through it with your straightener, i'm getting mine ready as well just to do the little little swoop at the ends. You know my straightener is kind of thick, though so they don't turn out exactly how i want them to, but we're gon na make it work all right, and that is how i do it. I don't know if you can even see the little curls, but i really wish i had like shorter hair. So it could just like go to here and then be like, but i don't think i could ever part with my long hair so but yeah. That is how i get this look. It'S so quick everything i use you probably have at home. It takes me like less than 10 minutes when i'm not on camera. It'S super quick, super easy and super cute. But when I did this I ended up with a perfect high pony! Mine is more messy than yours because I didn't use any hair products but it looks way better than a basic ponytail.
