$15 Afro Kinky Pigtails Tutorial | Crochet Hair & Rubber Band Method

It is hey guys, it's your girl, kayla, marie back with another video. Can we believe it is it true is she's back anywho, so today's video is going to be a styling, a video. We are going to be doing pigtails, so, let's get into the materials. So i got this hair a while ago like couple weeks ago, so i knew i wanted to do this video eventually and now your girl got some free time, so i got some springy afro twist. This is a three uh pack, so it comes with three bundles. Basically, i got this in black and i also got it in red because i kind of wanted to do like a kind of two-sided kind of vibe um. You can use these for um. I know they say twist locks and crochet, i'm using it just to make a fluffy ponytail for myself, just because i'm tired of my hair y'all, i'm tired, like look at her look at her. It'S just a mess um, so everything that you're gon na need is a brush. Basically, it's like everything down with gel edge, styling brush um a pic just to pick out some of the curls to make even more fluffier and fuller, a comb for parting and everything. And then two hair ties so you're going to use two for your hair and then two for these. I am going to bring a mirror in just so i can see myself and yeah. So let me just go get my eco styler, gel and i'll be right. Back my hair is currently i just co-washed it with some regular, regular um conditioner, just because my hair was in a style, so this is in its natural state. Very fluffy, very soft curls, look very defined. The eco styler gel that i'm going to be using is the black, castor oil flaxseed seed oil um, one which is really good for low frosty hair. First thing: we're going to do is just part this hair all the way down. So i'm just looking at my mirror and parting it down the harder part for me, because i am not good with parting. I'Ve never been the best look, i'm telling y'all. I just started really styling my hair. Like growing up my mom, never really taught me how to braid or do any crocheting. She always did the styling. You know my mom doesn't really know how to break hair like that. So hopefully the back looks the only issue. I have is my hair in the back is shorter than just to make it kind of easier. Let me know if you guys, like my hair, styling videos, i think they're a lot of fun, especially because i'm really trying to get back into taking care of my natural hair um, which i said in past videos like that's something i really want to focus on And then, like i heard like it's really good for natural hair to be in a style like you can't always just leave it in an afro because then like it gets tangled up and it's just not a vibe and i will be leaving the baby hair out. Don'T her worry? Ah, oh so, like over here y'all sitting on baby hair and maybe slick down, bro it'd just be killing me: okay! Okay, you want to make sure you have nice, make sure foreign, nice and tight. I mean just like my natural hair, all right. So next, this okay, now we're gon na do the other side. I mean this hairstyle doesn't take too long. It'S like literally been like 15 minutes, okay, okay! So now we got like two little space buns. Basically, i mean it's definitely full enough where you could pull off, like i don't know like a afro kind of vibe. If you wanted to with this hair all right, we got one. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, so it's gon na be really small. A little bit longer, unless, like i do it like this, this is, i pulled it out, walked it out. This is what the hair looks like here. I like how little ends are like really twisty we're going to take the hair tie. Put it on loosely hey. I wish okay, this is what the red looks like. It looks more like a gingery kind of red like not like red, like intensified. You know what i'm saying like. I think that's dope. Let me see here, i'm gon na put these babies together, so we can do the same thing, make sure y'all i really like how it like just disappears all right. So we are two dangling langley ponytails like two diamond language ponytails and we're just going to push all these other things um all right, so i'm gon na put the black side in the blank shot, make sure that is secure, oh god, oh god hold on yo, Hold up is okay, i'm about to do my edges off camera um, all right guys. I am back from fixing my edges and, of course doing my hair really super excited about how this look turned out very different, very funky, especially with the two tones. I would recommend getting the same type of hair um. Both hair are the similar style but they're from different companies. So, like the lengths were a little bit long um, you can see this one's kind of like fluffed out and then this one's kind of like down a little bit. So i tried to fix it as much as possible, but it was a little difficult um. Still a cute style would rock it for maybe like a couple of days and then move on to something else. I don't know if i'm gon na do a wig or anything anytime soon, but i still think it's cute. It'S very cute. Look. I hope you guys, like my outfit as well, it's from zaful um. It has really puffy sleeves and of course i had to wear my bracelet from 16 13 eyes just to give it an elegant look, and i also thrifted these earrings from um a thrift store in new jersey's. I felt like it went with the vibe.
