Elegant Bun With Extensions

Hey guys, it's Leila in a new setting today, let me just give you a little bit of update. Why was mi a last week if you notice there was no video posted from me, and this is because me me and her husband Alex are right now in Nice and we usually do the tutorials in their bedroom and since they're gone, and they also took the Camera with them, obviously because they have to you know, take videos and take pictures, and I can't wait to see them. We talk on skype every day, so really really good, and so I needed to get myself a new camera because I obviously needed to shoot videos. But I also wanted to start the makeup channel and that other video, though that other camera that we have is really good for shooting videos. But it's not really good for close-up and stuff like that, like makeup tutorials, because it doesn't have you know the little. What do you call it the little screen on the side so for today's tutorial, I'm going to be showing you guys how to create that elegant bun that I did a while back, but using extensions, because I got so many questions and requests to show you guys How to do it with the extensions? So if you haven't seen that video I'll post the link right here, you can go and watch it because that's the first portion, I'm not going to show you again, because it's basically exactly the same thing that I did in that video. So we're just gon na direct you over right now, if you haven't seen it or if you have seen it, then you already know what to do so so for today, I'm gon na. Do it a little bit differently? Like I explained in the video in last video, I did the bun sort of in the middle, but today I'm gon na. Do it a little high up for a more of a dramatic look, and this way it will be perfect for any kind of evening occasion if you have or daytime whatever you want. It'S really up to you, but it's very versatile look and I'm gon na show you how to do it to put the ponytail up. It'S a little differently. It'S a little differently. It'S done a little differently than the way you would normally put it up, and this is not like the only way to do. It is just how I learned how to do it without any kind of bumps showing so for that I'm gon na. Let me just tell you what you're gon na need a brush. You are going to need some bobby pins. Definitely this thing that you obviously already know from the previous video which I got at Sally's Beauty Supply. This is the package and some Elnett hairspray to fix it up the hair afterwards, and definitely for this time around. I am going to be using extensions, so you are gon na need some sort of extensions. Obviously, I'm using my luxy hair extensions - and this is just the two F's that I probably will need and to get started. You want to brush your hair backwards, all of it just brush it back, and then this might be a little different for some of you. But basically, what you want to do is stand back and take your head and put it upside down and basically what this does it's a lot easier to put your hair up in a high ponytail when your hair is down. I find if you know what better way then go ahead and do that and leave a comment below. Let me know how you do that, but this is how I learned. Can you even see okay right so then, once you're brushed in here, you want to just bring them, bring all the hair into your hands and just start fixing it with your fingers and just kind of bringing it all into a ponytail once you are sure that The hair is nice and tight all the way around open up the open up the elastic and just go ahead and do tight ponytail. So I do it three times just to make sure that the hair is gon na, be nice and tight. So something like this don't mind this piece. That'S sticking out! Okay, isn't this a cute dress? I love it, but um anyways. You can wear it with leggings too, which I'm wearing with leggings today, oh, this is not an outfit of the day video. This is for hairstyles, so we'll skip to that, and basically, once you have you here up in a ponytail like this, this is what it looks like, and this is nice and beautiful on its own. But since we want, since you guys wanted to know how to do it with extensions, this is the next step so grab if you're using luxy, hair extensions then grab your two forklift webs. This is what they look like. That'S one and that's the other. You want to grab the biggest ones, because it's easier, because you're gon na be wrapping it around I'll, show you in a minute, so just open up the clips and brush out there. Basically, what you want to do. The whole idea of this is to go with the clips kind of underneath as much as you can and hide the clips like clip it on to your head, but kind of underneath the bottom so go in with a clip as much underneath the bun as you Can and snap it shut, it might be a little difficult. This look is tricky to do so. If you're, just starting out, don't get frustrated, it takes a bit of time and a little bit of practice to get the hang of it. So don't get frustrated. Just keep on practicing and you'll get it so because, if I can do it, so can you anyway so basically go all the way around and do exactly the same thing so just grab your arm clip and go into the hair like that and just clip it And then just go all the way around the hair like onto your head, not onto the ponytail onto your head and then just do the last one there. I don't know if you can see but I'll, just let down like that, lift it up. So it's with that so go ahead and clip it like that. You heard this night so go ahead and do the same thing with this. So just put it up and then just start clipping onto your hair like that and then just go all the way around. Basically, the more weft you can put on your head, the or the bigger and the more dramatic the bun will be so pick up the hair and then just grab your clip go underneath of the bun and just snap it shut like that. I don't want you. Can do one more just cuz? I want to show you guys how dramatic this can be and I'm gon na grab one of the three clip wets, I'm gon na just brush it up as well. I thought I was just gon na use two, but I think I want to see how it goes with three. I'Ve actually never done it with three. So we'll see how it looks and then just go from this side into the hair. Like that snap, it shot right here and then right there snap it shut alright. So the next step, once you sort of applied all of the weft Saul, the way around the base of the bun. What you want to do and for this I'm gon na turn around, so you guys can see you want to just gather all of the extensions into like a second bun, not one a second ponytail over the bun like this, and you want to just make sure That the center of the ponytail is going to be in the center of the bun and if that makes sense, and then just kind of bring it back like this with your fingers and make sure that it's nice and covered like that. And then we want to do is grab one of these elastics really tiny elastics. That kind of match you here and open it up, and you basically want to put your extensions into a ponytail, so just drag the hair out like that a few times three times. Three four times and then just pull pull on it. So I know this is a kind of funny hairstyle right now, but this is how you do it. So this is how I do it anyways so yeah once you have this, you want to just grab the hair and then grab the extensions so just brush it out like that. So start opening up and just kind of creating a little fountain of hair around the bun okay, and then you want to just flatten it out and cap. The hair just make sure that it's evenly distributed all the way around. So you won't have like any bald spots or whatever, like that. It takes a bit of time and a little bit of getting used to. I will warn you: it's not the most easiest of things to do at first, so just start kind of wrapping the hair and bringing it around of the ponytail. I mean the bun. You want to do one half at a time like this and grab a bobby, pin and just go and right into the hair and just slide it in like so so now. This hair right here is covering the base, and you can't really see the like. The wealth of the extensions so then just do the same thing with this side and fan out the hair around of the bun and just start wrapping it around like so just helping it out with your fingers and just bringing it around of the around of the The bun and then once you do that you're gon na just grab a bobby pin like that and then just go again into the hair into the hair and then just slide it in and right now. You want to just make sure that you secure this nice and tight, because you don't want you know the hair just falling out and then that would be kind of awful, so just make sure that you're going with lots of bobby pins all the way around and Just be careful because you have the like: what do you call it? The weft in the clips, so when you are putting the bobby pin make sure you're sliding it into your own hair and not the clip, not the weft, because that won't be very secure. So you just do that, so this is how you create a bun with extensions, but before before you finish, you have to make sure that these little flyaway hairs are all in place. So you wan na grab your hairspray and just kind of pull the hair back spray lightly and then just brush over with your fingers. So we're all done. This is how you create a elegant, bun using extensions. I love, love love. This look, it's so elegant. You know it's just asking for gorgeous kind of you know a red carpet, event, dress and you're ready to go I'll. Just do a quick look all the way around one more time, so you guys can see how it looks from all sides.
