Hey glams welcome to today's video in today's video. I am going to be doing a sleek, low ponytail tutorial using this ponytail piece that i bought from amazon. So if you're interested then keep on watching so right now i am applying a color to my hair. A all black jet black color from adore it is jet black and i just wanted to go over my hair. My hair had previous color on it beforehand, so it was changing colors. So i wanted it to all be one color, so i'm just applying some color to my hair before i do this style and i'm going to be using the pantene moisture shampoo one of my favorites for my hair, followed by the leave-in conditioning repair cream by cantu. If you know you know this has done my hair, some wonders. I cannot even explain to you. I leave it in overnight, typically and then, once it has settled, i like to blow it dry with the conditioner in my hair. So once i have fully blow dried and done all of that good stuff, i like to section off my hair and begin to flat iron, my hair in sections. It is easier that way where i'm able to also detangle it brush through and then go through with the flat iron. Please excuse my hair, my hair is damaged severely damaged, i don't know what is happening or why. But yes, my hair is very damaged. I'M not sure why! But we're going to take care of that sooner or later. So once i have went through and flat ironed my whole hair. I then like to go through like the top area and just kind of take it through with the hot comb. This is a lot of heat to my natural hair, which i usually hate, but it is what it is. I have honestly been thinking about doing a big chop lately, so yeah i'm going to be going in with the got to be spray, and i'm going to be using this. This is the archive coil care, enhanced, edges, edge control gel. I bought this on instagram. This is from the hashtag rub: challenge product, so it's supposed to be really good. I actually honestly really liked it so i'm going through right now and i am sectioning off my hair in sections and i'm applying the edge control to the comb and i'm going through, and i'm just smoothing it through my hair so that i can get that real. Sleek smooth look for this ponytail and i really like this product because it doesn't give any type of like gel. It doesn't give like any type of greasy oily look. It just gives a real, smooth, fine look, as you can see, then i'm going through with the hot comb and just kind of like allowing it to dry through the product. So i'm just smoothing it through molding it and helping it to dry a little bit quicker with the product. I was being lazy, but if you don't want to do it this way, you are always welcome to use a blow dryer so that it'll dry. I just wanted to use the hot comb because i feel like it'll, smooth out the hair and it dries it a lot quicker and faster with the hot comb or you can use a flat iron. So yes, my edges. Okay, my edges are a struggle. You don't have to tell me my edges: are a huge struggle, have always been a struggle, i've just kind of dealt with it, but i have found products that work. For me. I'Ve found hairstyles that have worked for me over the years and that's why i'm just like? Okay with it, you know it is what it is either i have them or i don't and clearly i don't so i make i find products that work for me. I have this fuller, instant hair, that i bought this off of amazon and basically it gives me hair in seconds it just basically acts as like an eyeshadow just imagine, putting an eyeshadow on parts of your hair that are thinning or that you don't really have hair Right in that area and like you can see, i'm just kind of like shaking the bottle over the area that are more thinner or that doesn't have a lot of hair in that area. And, as you can see, it kind of fills in that area and makes it look like it's kind of like fine hair growing out of your scalp. So it's really nice. I'Ve been using this when i do this style because it helps to fill in that area and give me the illusion that there's hair there. So yes, this is my secret, it's out into the world now! But yes, if you have thinning edges or you have thinning hair areas that you want to kind of just fill in when you do certain hairstyles, this is my go-to. They have different colors. You can do like brown. You can do like a dark brown light brown and i think those are like the only shades but you're also welcome i'm going to put the link in the description box so that you can, you know, look and shop around so yeah and then i kind of Go through and i brush it through um with like a brush or like my fingers, so that it looks even and it's not patchy and then i'll even take like a comb blend it through. And then i spray it with a finishing spray. And last but not least, this is the ponytail piece that i received from amazon. The link will be in the description for this as well, but this is a wrap around ponytail piece and it's pretty much like a velcro piece that you wrap around and then you attach it. So the color that i received for the ponytail was a 1b and obviously i want my hair to be jet black, like i just colored it, so i'm using the high beams intense spray on color, i'm just going to go through the ponytail piece. Briefly, with this color spray it on, so that it looks nice and even and it matches my natural hair as much as possible, because there's nothing worse than having like one b hair and then having a jet black ponytail, that's not cute! So i want everything to look nice and even nice, even in all one shade. So i have put my scarf on to kind of flatten out my hair. Let it dry a little bit and while that's drying, i'm going to be applying my makeup here and now that my hair is fully dry. I'M going to take these bobby pins and get ready to apply my ponytail so inside of this ponytail it does have the combs. So you attach the combs into the higher part of your bun and then begin to take the velcro area with the hair attached, and you want to almost start to begin to wrap it around fully as it attached to the velcro. So if you have the ponytail piece, if you are buying a ponytail piece similar to this once you have it in person, it will make a lot more sense. I used some bobby pins to help me out here, because it was my first time using this type of ponytail piece with the velcro. So at this point you just need to do what you need to do to make sure that is it attached and that it is fully secure as much as possible. So, yes, i'm taking the piece of the velcro and just wrapping the hair around make sure that while you're doing this, you want to be smoothing out the hair so that it looks nice and smooth so just begin to wrap it around the ponytail. The base of the ponytail piece as much as possible and make sure that while you're doing it, you are fully wrapping it around so that none of the velcro is showing so towards the end. Here, you'll see as as much as i'm wrapping. It make sure that you're, like smoothing it out, so this is kind of where i messed up. You want to take a little bit of the spray or whatever holding spray you're using or gel molding gel and begin to put it on the hair. As you wrap it around, so that way, it'll stay and it won't move. I didn't. I only used it towards the end, but use it on a full piece of hair because, as you can see, i was kind of struggling with trying to get it to dry, but put it as much as you need for it to stay, secure and in place. Keep using that holding gel or whatever got to be spray or whatever molding spray or holding spray or gel that you're using wrap it around that base as much as possible so that the hair doesn't unravel and once everything is nice and wrapped and tight and secure. Then you can either blow dry it or use the flat iron or the hot comb to smooth it out and make sure that that hair is dry, so it doesn't unravel. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is my sleek ponytail low ponytail, with the ponytail that i bought on amazon, and i really like this look. It came out really really nice for it to be my first time trying it out. This will definitely be one of my go-to protective styles for the summer, just quick, easy fast and it's very sleek. It gives a very nice look and it lasts for a week or two with that, gel that i use so i hope you enjoyed this video make sure that you thumbs up this video if you enjoyed it.
