Hey: what's up you guys, welcome back to my channel, my name is Kevin and in today's video I'm going to be showing you how I curled my synthetic wigs using flexi rods and not using any heat tools. This wig is from powder room D and each of their wigs comes with a wig cap and a thank you card. The wig I'm using today is a silver silk lace, front, wig, it retails for $ 150 and it is safe to be used with Hot Tools. It can be styled with hot tools on a low medium temperature. The density is 150 to 180 percent and is 24 inches long. It has the lights front and it also has the combs to secure it in place, as well as two straps in the back to make it tighter and more secure. So now I'm just going to secure it on this doll head that I have from cosmetology school and I'm just going to secure it in place so that it's easier to work with I'm using these three-fourths of an inch flexi rods. I'M using these rods because I just want a loose wave curl. So if you wanted tighter ringlets, you would use smaller flexi rods and you would also work in smaller sections, so here I'm parting, the hair and then, when I wrap it around the flexi rod. I twist it as I go. It'S really important. You want to make sure that you twist as you're wrapping it around the flexi rod and secure it in place at the top and then just work your way down and then secure it at the bottom. Now I'm moving on to the next section and then after I show you the hell, I do the next section, I'm going to speed it up until the last section. Again, you want to make sure that you're twisting the hair as you're wrapping it around and secure it in place by bending the end. All right, so I went ahead to did the other two sections and now I'm working on the last one twisting as I wrap the hair around the flexi rod and pushing it up. As I run out of room you, let's secure place you - and this is what you should have after Jen's - are done so next, what you to do is take boiling water and then you're going to put it in a cup I'm using this measuring cup, and then I just dip the flexi rods inside of it and I let it sit for about 10 to 15 seconds you so after I let those sit for about another 10 minutes. I gently take them out, you don't want to yank them out, because it will cause a lot of frizz and it will just mess up the curls. You want to just take them out very gently and unwrap them in the same way that you wrap them and, let's just fall like fine did here, I'm just unwrapping in the opposite direction. As I wrapped, then I let that sit and dry for a while. It doesn't matter if it's fully dry, you could still work with it and I'll still hold its shape if it's still a little wet. It doesn't take too long to dry because it's synthetic weak here, I'm just separating the curls until I like how it looks using my fingers. This is the final result. I hope that you guys enjoyed this tutorial and it was helpful for you if you liked what you saw.
