Hi welcome to my channel so today i am going to be talking all about hair extensions and i'm going to be giving you some tips on what to buy, what not to buy and how to keep your hair extensions looking nice and how to make them. Look real as well, and so before i do jump into the video um. Please don't forget to subscribe to my channel and i also have instagram i'll link it at the top. If i can manage and but yeah, please follow me on that as well. I am hoping to upload twice a week, so please hit the subscribe button now. Also like and comment down below too. I will be replying to all comments, and so i do read them not that i get many at the moment, but yeah. If you do feel like commenting, i will reply to you so i'll just jump straight into the video now, instead of babbling on anymore, so yeah, i am cursed with a really thin hair, so this is actually all of my hair. Looking like a rat's tail, um yeah, our lord, is really long. It'S just really really thin um, which i actually hate. I wish wish. I was born with thick hair, but i can't help it. I'Ve tried oils shampoos, everything that i've watched on youtube to try to make it thicker, and it just hasn't worked for me. So i guess hair extensions is the way to go for me. I do feel like um if i went to the hairdressers to get all my split ends chopped off and stuff like that there i would probably come out with a boy haircut or even bald, because honestly, my hair is just ruined. I also feel like um. Obviously, when you're older, your hair gets thinner, i feel like i'll be bald, then in my life, so i want long hair now, if i can get it um but yeah, i will probably be bald when i'm older, but i'm sure i'll find a wig. So all of the hair extensions which i'll be showing you in today's video are from a brand called stranded. So i am not sponsored by stranded and i just feel like they have a good range of hair, so they do both synthetic and they do both human hair hormone, hair, human hair, and they also have, i believe, it's 28 colors to choose from so the color Range is actually quite good as well and, and i just feel like they're, affordable, they're, just an affordable brand and great for if you're, starting off with extensions and so yeah i've just bought from stranded. So just on the topic of the hair colors at the stranded. Do and you can actually on their website order some samples, so you can just make sure that you're getting the right color before you buy the actual extension. And so you can choose three shades and i believe the cost is only 2.95, and that includes delivery as well. So that is actually really good, and i did actually get a few, because my mum is looking into getting some extensions from them too, and they come in a little pack like this and i'll show you which colors i've got actually just in case. You just do want to find out, but yeah, i feel like for two pound 95, including delivery as well. You get quite a good sample like it's quite a big piece um, so you could definitely make sure and double check that it is your shade. There'S. Definitely enough there so for my mom i just got um the sample two slash five azalea and it's kind of like a really dark brown, i'm not sure. If it's showing black on the camera, i got chocolate dahlia, i say dahlia. She says daily, i'm not actually sure what it is. I would say, comment down below which one it is, but it will just be spelt the same so that wouldn't really work and yeah. So this one is a number four and i also got nigella number two. It'S a bit kinked off the packet, but it's only a sample so yeah you! So when you are color matching and if you are bagging, say a ponytail or a scrunchie. So something that's going to blend with the top of your hair. And you should make sure that you color match the top of your hair rather than the bottom, because the bottom of your hair is a completely different color and it's all the hair. So it's been um bleached by the so not bleach lightened by the sun and so yeah. If you chose what the color on your ends of your hair for the top of your hair, it just won't blend in at all, and it's going to look fake. So just make sure that if you're doing a ponytail or a scrunchy match to the top of your head and if you're just doing the um, if you're just purchasing the hair for the ends of your hair match to the ends. So these two are just some synthetic hair, and so that's my ponytail, and that is my long piece to match the ends. So it's two completely different colors. This actually looks quite ginger there. Doesn'T it compare to this one and but yeah? It is the perfect color for the bottom. It is a really good match. Actually this one really good match, then that matches the top of my hair. So first off i'll show you my synthetic ponytails and i feel like these are actually really good idea. It just takes me about two minutes to pop it on my head, so it doesn't take long at all. It'S just a quick, easy style to do um but yeah, so i've. Obviously, colour matched this to the top of my head, and this one is the long curly one. I do believe that they're stranded do this in short, medium and long, so the long bean 20 inches, i believe, the medium 18 and the short 16. um, but yeah actually on their website. At the moment they don't have any short ones. So i'm not sure. What'S going on there, but i have definitely seen um short ones from them and they come in the curly one. They also do straight and then they do a flicky as well, but i actually haven't purchased the flicky. Just they didn't have my color in the shop when i went um and i do actually like like quite like these two better than the flicky one anywhere and but yeah. They are absolutely good value for their money. I paid 17.99 for mine um and they actually are really thick and really long too. So yeah, it's well worth the money, and i'm just going to probably pop this in so you can see how easy it is to get in and before. I do, though, you do actually have a few ways to put it in, so you can either clip it onto your head or you can take the circles like this. The drawstring just attaches to the clip, and then you just put it on your head. I would not recommend doing that. I just feel like you can tell when it's just a clip on your head and so i'll. Take this clip out - and i just put my bun in the middle and to do the drawstring and i actually got color hazel princess on number eight. So i'll just show you it there. The only thing with these hair extensions with them being synthetic, they get really tatty. I don't know if you can really see. I guess this one can get away with it a little bit with it being curly, and i don't really want to brush it out just because the curls might go um but yeah. It does get really tight, especially the under part of it there extremely tightly. But i guess nobody's seeing that bit so yeah i'll just put it in for you. So all i do is i'll brush my hair into a ponytail and i'll put it the height that i would want that ponytail to be, and so i actually quite like mine, pretty high, i mean brush your hair from the bottom. That'S probably why mine's so damaged yeah. I think it actually takes me longer to tie my own hair up than it does before putting that in. So i just tie a bobble around like that. I mean how many times did i just tie that around there. It'S because my hair is literally thin. Look at that ponytail i'll insert before and afters as well follow my hair pieces, so you can see the difference and and then i'll, just kind of get it to where i want it. I'Ll sort the front out as well and i'll just twist it around in the most unflattering bun you ever did see and then tie another bobble around that bun just to keep it in place there like that, so it shouldn't hurt or anything like that, and if It does you probably has done it a bit too tight, but yeah sometimes as well. I do take some pieces down like that and i don't take too much down because if i took a lot down the ends of my actual hair and the ponytail will be different colors. So you could tell it's completely fake. So i would just probably take a few little strands down and for the curly hair i actually do curly's, but just for the video i'm not going to um. I just don't think you would want to see that so i'm just going to get the ponytail there is some teeth there, as well just for extra grip. So i'm just going to let me move this camera, so you can actually see there. So i'm just going to put the top of the ponytail over my bun like that. Like that and then i'll pull the drawstring once i can find it just making sure i'm not actually pulling the synthetic hair too, so yeah just pull the drawstring too just so. It'S secured on the bun like that, so yeah um, that's it i mean. How long did that take me - probably a second not even a minute, probably but yeah um yeah. I would just finish it off by curling these, but it is lovely and for the drawstring mine's quite long, because i've used it quite a few times i'll. Just get a hair grip, a hair grip and tie it up into like just grip it into the ponytail. So you can't see it's not going to be tangling, and so nobody can tell that it's false hair. I forgot i'll put a little bit of it in take that out. Yeah there we go so it's no longer dangling around it's pretty concealed and for extra support. As well, i use the long hair grips as well. I got these from b m in a pack um i'll just sometimes stab it through. So it's on the ponytail and my actual hair just for extra support and grip, but most of the time i don't really need to do this, but yeah just for extra support. You can do that as well, but that's what the ponytail or the curly one looks like when it's on so yeah i mean, i just think it's a really pretty ponytail and then the straight one i'll just do the same way too. So to look after these synthetic hair and ponytails, i keep them stored in the box. They came in, it does take up quite a bit of room, and so i just keep them in the bag, and i have a little place in my room to put them and but just be aware, if you did want to store it in this, they are Quite a big chunky box, so it will take up a lot of room. Surprisingly, they come with a little hair net, so i just tie them up in this. That'S just how i store it after i've used it. I won't leave it on the floor or out of the box, and just in case it gets too tight for me to brush or just gets damaged. So yeah always store your hair pieces in a nice safe place after using them for the curly hair piece to keep the curls in, and i actually just grab a hair grip. I'Ll grab a curl as well and just collect the curl like this and then just put the hair grip in and then it will cause the curl so yeah. If you we're losing the curls. That is a great tip, so just gather it up. Put a hair grip in leave it at your two and then it'll be curly again. This is another synthetic piece from stranded and i actually got this for my 21st birthday party and i just wanted long, thick hair for it and yeah. I didn't pay much for this at all and it is extremely thick, i'm not sure if you can really tell, but there is a lot of hair there and and this one is just the one piece and it is the flicky version. I think they do a curly and a straight version - i'm not actually 100 sure, but that seems to be their theme so yeah, and this is the color caramel cosmos as well. So the top of my head is hazel princess and the bottom is caramel cosmos. This hairpiece i have here is actually in the length 18 inches, but i have had a look on stranded website and i'm not sure if they changed it and they're only advertising a 16 inch and a 20 inch. So i'm not sure what's happened to the 18 inch and but this definitely is 18, i'm not sure if they've stopped doing it. If nobody was buying that length, but yeah i mean i don't know, i think they should bring back the 18 if they have got rid of it. So pearls on this hairpiece it is thick and long um. It is really pretty piece and it comes with the clips already attached, so you don't need to fluff around and do that yourself. Um cons. I would probably say it is really really heavy. So you're only going to put it at the back of your head in one section, and there is a lot of strain for your little hairs at the back and so yeah. I don't think you could wear it as everyday kind of thing. It would have to be like a nighttime or an event thing, and just because it's just so so heavy and another con, just with it being synthetic, obviously you're not able to curl it or straighten it or anything like that, and so you can't really do different Styles with it, you kind of stuck to the style you buy and the flicky one is actually thing for beginners. It is a really good piece and it is really affordable as well. I can't remember how much up here, but i know it wasn't much. I think i might have been about 20 pounds again just to look after it. I do brush it after i've worn it, and i put it away in a box that it came with just so. I can prolong the life. I feel like with synthetic hair. You'Ve got to be really careful because it can get really tidy and it doesn't really feel that nice nor naughty the ponytails. Really you can tell that they're, not real hair or they could be real hair, which is just really really damaged. Um but yeah i mean it's not human hair, so you can't really expect it to feel like human hair, so the next hairpiece i'm really excited about this. One, probably is my favorite, although i do love them all this, i love the most and it is the human ones that they do so. I'Ve purchased them in the 20 inches so for human hair. Again they only do 16 and 20 on their website. 16 and 20 inch and again i think they should do the 18 if you're in the middle of them two lengths and you don't want to go as long as 20. um, but this isn't actually much longer than my actual hair. I feel like they're, pretty much the same length which honestly i don't mind because i just wanted it for thickness. I didn't need it for length and but if you did, need your hair for length and not just thickness - and i would be careful see if you had shoulder hair there like shoulder length, hair and and you bought the 20 inches. Obviously, there's going to be a massive size difference, so you'll see the two and if you were buying that long of a hair, i would make sure that you layered this hair. So then it will blend in a bit better and it won't look as fake. So if you are going a lot longer than your actual hair, just make sure you do layer i'll show you these beauties. So this one i got in the color, caramel cosmos and they come lovely like this. This is actually my backup, so i already have them bought the ones i wear more stairs and i got them for christmas and i got these ones for my birthday um, but yeah this one's, my backup for when they, the other pair, gets ruined. I'Ve got this pair will be my backup, slash my nice. So if i was going somewhere special a nice occasion, i'd wear the nicer pair and the other pair that i have i'll just use that for styling, so i'll curl them i'll, straighten them and i'll. Just wear them for every day, but yeah, absolutely beautiful. You do actually get four pieces. Um i'll actually show you the ones i've already opened. So this is the human hair extensions i got. They are actually quite thick and especially when your hair is on there as well, and it is really really thick with them being like four different ones. It'S not as heavy as a one piece, because their weight is distributed in on the back of your head. If that makes any sense and but yeah they're much they're way way lighter, you can't even feel them in if you put them in right and they come in different sizes, so that one is kind of like a long one i'll show you the smallest one. So that's the first one you would put in at the very back of your head. You got the bottom here and then you put these three on and afterwards this one at the bottom gets really tight. I must say - and just i suppose it's getting like all of the like: it's a rubbing quite a lot on the back of your neck and so yeah. This one will need brushed a lot. So the one of the pieces of the human hair looks like this and which is actually quite thick for just one strand, considering you're gon na get four of these and that that's actually really good value for money. I got a 20 inch one and i paid 129.99 now i know that seems a really high price. But if you take into consideration that some girls are going to the hairdressers and getting and the microbeads and stuff like that, put in they're paying hundreds and hundreds for that and fair enough they'll wake up every day to having that in your hair. And you don't need to go to the bother of putting it in and but obviously one day you will have to take it out, and with these you do have to take the effort of putting them in every day. If you didn't want to wear it that often, but it gives you a chance to give your natural hair a break, whereas if you were getting it done in the salon, getting the um microbeads or something like that, your hair is not going to get a chance To relax or anything like that, it's going to be under constant, and what do you call that work, constant strain yeah? I think that is the word so yeah these ones are probably healthier for your hair. You just got to have patience to put them in and and in the long run they are cheaper, their human hair from stranded honestly, i wish my hair felt like this. It'S just the softest hair ever it feels amazing and but yeah it comes with the clips. Already on which i think is great, and i'm just going to go through my pro list by the way, so it comes with the clips and which is great, i don't need to go through through the effort of doing it, and it is very thick for what You get you get quite a lot of hair and obviously you can style this one, so you can straighten it curl it crimp it. You can do what you want. It'S human hair so just treat it like your own hair. Unless, unless of course, you don't treat your hair, nice, then probably don't treat it like your own hair, and so when i'm actually finished wearing it, i will brush it out and if i did need to wash this hair, i would use a soft shampoo. So at the moment to wash it, i will use the johnson's baby shampoo. So just something light and - and if you didn't want to use a baby shampoo, i would just make sure you don't use any nasty shampoo. So no sls or anything like that in and nothing that could break the hair, also just to prolong the life. If you wear styling it make sure you use a heat, protectant spray. I will either put their hue and hair extensions back in the box or i've actually converted to the bags that stranded cell, so i'm going to buy another one for my other piece and but they just do this nifty little bag to put your hair in. So it's just like a wooden hanger and then some clips to kind of clip your hair on they aren't blue. I just haven't, took the like protectant sticker off them, so they are silver yeah, so you just hang hair in it and then you can zip it up. There'S just a zip just there. Where is it there? So there's just a zip, so you can zip it up and down, and i just feel like this would be great simply because it's taken less room up than the huge box we'll go, get it yep. So it's taken less room up than that big massive box. Well, it's really thin um if you were going anywhere for a weekend or if you were going anywhere getting ready somewhere else. You could just pack this easy and it's not going to take up much of your bag room or anything like that. Compared to what this big boy will and yeah, this was actually only six pound 99. So i think it's quite a bargain for what it is. I will be getting another one with a hairpiece but yeah. I would highly recommend these to keep your hair safe and to travel with, so that is all for this video, so well done. If you have managed to watch me all the way through, and i do hope you have enjoyed it.
